If an anorexic teenager who truly believes she is obese - though she is actually dangerously undernourished - commits suicide - should we attribute her suicide to our having "failed" to confirm her "belief" that she was obese - when she was in fact starving herself to death? The irrational and unscientific nature of this ideological takeover of science and medicine is complete madness.
This analogy would work if it weren't for the fact that 1) anorexia is very different from gender dysphoria and 2) there's no evidence suggesting that affirming an anorexic person's perception of themselves actually helps them, while there is for trans people

Yes. Imagine being a traumatized, abused and confused child and being steered toward 'transitioning' because it'll fix all their problems. Then the damage is done and the child ages and realizes the problems are still there AND they now have a mutilated body as well as the other comorbidities that were present before. And the adults around them did that and generally blame the child saying things like, "Well you wanted it!" which sorta sounds like an excuse another type of abuser uses to justify their crime. Disgusting indeed.
They will always know what they allowed to happen because the brain remembers.
Even worse, the rate of suicide post op is higher.
During my adolescence, I was a mess. This was the result of being the victim of SA, which I kept secret, and other serious traumas going on in my family at that time. I suffered from severe depression, OCD, phobias, intrusive thoughts. I was also confused about my sexuality. If I’d been a teenager today would I have been steered towards gender reassignment? Scary thought.
@@GradKat I was an Autistic tomboy child in the 80's who was the Scapegoat in my Narcissistic family that was helmed by my mother and enabled by my father and I was bullied by my golden sister. Emotional issues galore. I always "wanted to be a boy" because I was told "girls are no good" and frankly I wanted to be 'different' so people (including my family) would be nicer to me. I was taught/indoctrinated that there was something the matter with ME.
Therapy has taught me that it's something VERY the matter with adults who abuse children, that children do not deserve mistreatment for existing and treating them with love and kindness as they are is the best course to a healthy, mature adult. I shudder to think how my life would have been further destroyed if I was growing up now. Now emotional child abusers can manipulate (or allow society) to manipulate their children into life altering mutilation.
Now abusers can physically destroy their off-spring (not just emotionally) as a child in the name of, "I was only doing what I thought was right and doctor's/society was telling me I was right." and that's the same excuses I got from my abusers. They always claim the pursuit of good and right as justifications for their actions and then are shocked when their child tries to hold them accountable if the result to them was bad and damaging. If these people are all so sure in their morally superior position and actions then why get so angry and defensive when people want to discuss the issues with them? Because they know what they are doing is fundamentally wrong even if it is the popular opinion/current way of doing things.
It is beyond mere neglect. This is child cruelty and abuse.
All "experts" involved deserve jail imo.
Their true mantra is “repeat the slogan” rather than “believe the science.”

I didn’t even think about getting pregnant at 20. It was only in my late twenties that I felt the desire to have a child.

At 10 I was playing games, sports and watching anime and cartoons, thats all my friends talked about as well, we never even thought about this nonsense

Prescribing infertility drugs to 10 year old girls (or boys, for that matter) should be reason enough for that Dr. to be prosecuted & lose his/her medical license.
My daughter was dangerously anorexic and her father and grandfather, with all good intentions were manipulated into her controlling ways by giving into her demands of "if you don't do what i want then she will commit suicide". As much as it hurt me i resisted the manipulation and said i wouldn't play her game. Eventually because i resisted her threats and as i saw her wasting away i figured standing up to her was the kindest thing i could do. She needed someone on her side to see that her pain went way beyond the eating disorder..She eventually got better with time and a good therapist and never got sick again and is living a life she once dreamed about. It took years but i never caved to her demands and eventually that saved her life. Parents need to be the adults in the room and be an advocate for their children instead of their friend.

I have cared for adults
who had problem behaviours as children and often it all fell on the women in the family to deal with it. I know that’s not your point though but I knew that if the men in the family had put their foot down and not said “oh but she/he can’t help it” that the adult would have turned out better.

Gender dysphoria is just another body dysmorphia, and just like you didn't agree with your daughter that she must lose weight, the parents of those kids should not affirm their self image.But unlike you, they are forbidden to do so and can even lose custody these days.

I live in Australia. My state passed legislation 2 years ago that makes it a criminal offence for anyone, including parents, to not affirm a child's preferred gender. The penalty imposed by the legislation is a $10,000 fine, imprisonment or both.

I’ve thought that the increase in suicide for confused kids is partially due to so many people saying that they will do this. In other words, the power of suggestion.
I once did a deep dive on suicide trying to answer whether I believe that we should hold bullied criminally negligent if their victim unalives themselves.
Later, when this trans nonsense started, my research became relevant for a different reason: I came to realize medical professionals were breaking every rule in regards of how to handle threats of or attempts of suicide.
Suicide is contagious.

I wonder about the long-term health implications for babies of FTM transgender mother's: the so-called 'pregnant men'?
Carrying a baby to term in a body saturated in synthetic male hormones is surely a risky proceedure.
We have no idea what might happen to these babies as they grow. But, since many of them are nearing school age, it'll be interesting to say the least.
I hope they don't develop health issues from the unnatural circumstances of their embryonic development.

I've wandered the same thing, especially if the baby is female. But even if male I can't believe there are no side effects or developmental risks and I have to believe it could have potentially serious, negative affects. I have a very strong feeling they haven't even tried to do an assessment or study! Something they could have done with lab rats, and with the number of women who've done it, they easily could have done some kind of follow-up on the baby's health. But they're more worried about the negative impacts on their careers than the children!

Like the option of a healthy son wasn't on the table. Maybe try until he's not a child anymore and then reevaluate? The question and implication there are no other choices is very manipulative. People who are manipulating generally shouldn't be in positions of power because it is an indication they are unable to let things stand on their own merits and you only have to do THAT if you know what you are doing would be deemed as wrong by the majority of informed/reasonable people.
I'm glad I never became a parent because if I had heard those words come out of a doctor's mouth, we'd have a dead doctor.

I once had a young person use the “do you want a dead child or a live one” line. As there was no one in my family transitioning my reply was that “If anyone wants to commit suicide because of the opinion of someone they’ve never met then they are too immature to make a life changing decision like transitioning.”

No doctor would accept a self diagnosis of brain cancer and operate without thorough investigation. How can any medically trained person accept and act on a self-diagnosis of 'being in the wrong body', which isn't even biologically possible? Affirmative treatment is negligent treatment. I hope there will soon be prosecutions, de-registrations and massive compensation payouts.

The number of people detransitioning is bound to be far higher than has been admitted - they can disappear from the medical system which has catastrophically failed them and there are also those who regret immediately afterwards but are not taken seriously as knowing that they have made the worst decision of their lives to mutilate their bodies 😢

Negative self identity with children who have gender dysphoria is not constructed in a bubble. Their peers reinforce societal gender stereotypes with mocking, ridicule & bullying. Sadly, some are bullied into taking their own life or are killed.
I would worry about those young people who have taken this path and when faced with the reality of the process want to go back. They often speak of the disinterest of the medical industry when they are looking to undo the undoable. In one case the young changeling was deeply unhappy and could not go back so she killed herself. You can't blame her family because her family were not allowed any contact with her.
The big question is ...why are so many children now gender distressed, in my school and teen days this condition was completely unknown. What is now causing children to be born this way?

Just introducing the concept that a child can choose their gender based on their feelings is enough to stunt a normal child's emotional maturity development. Then add the cult like affirmation and peer pressure from the other kids, teachers, and virtue signaling parents, then we have indoctrination happening, and just when they need structure and clarity to grow. It's like when a kid chooses to believe he/she is a dinosaur one morning, the kid's parents have to affirm this delusion medically and surgically on the kid's body irreversibly. And that is supposed to help the kid.
There was the very real danger that, had they told these parents, and their kids, of the long term consequences of these treatments, either the parents or the kids would have refused. This, in turn, would’ve had a decidedly negative influence on practitioner’s bank account!
It is plain devilish to tell a lie like that to a parent, in my book.

So, is it moral blackmail to force young Autistic children to undergo ABA therapy to become "indistinguishably Neurotypical" and if they do this, Bar Associations might license them as lawyers (and no doubt, similar in other professions), but if they don't do this then they will be forever excluded because they are too authentically Autistic ? And, the biggie is, no young Autistic child can give informed consent, even if they were informed. As for men being angry that they can’t actually genetically and physically be a woman. The gropus with the highest s. attempt rate are for example NPD and BPD. BPD around 95%. Successful are around 10 %. Anorexa nervosa has a bit of a higher mortality rate due to the illness.
So if trans kids have an attempt rate of 40% it is not 'that' high.
If it is a rate of successful s. it should and would be, that, as soon as one declares to be trans, they'd be rushed immediately to the psych ward, since the risk is too high for their own life.
There's a group that is selling this garbage, and if you refuse to buy it, they'll try to have you cast out socially and economically. You should be asking who they are and why.
