I felt the same way. I tested it and I didnt fall in love at first sniff. I was like it's okay. But as it dried down on and warmed on my skin it turned into a completely different frangance. It smells dark, sexy, luxurious, and luscious.

The more you wear it the more you'll love it!I prefer the extrait.. on my skin is smoother and not so harsh. I also love Grand Soir and Oud Satin Mood!♥️

This is a type of scent you need your nose to be trained. In other words only a developed palate can appreciate niche parfumes. If you haven’t then don’t go there just yet.

You already know my current opinion on this fragrance. I've had this fragrance and have been playing around with it for about a year and a half but I still won't buy the full yet. As a fragrance lover, I find it and intriguing and really appreciate the unique composition of it. It's like it's something I'm not supposed to be smelling but keep wanting to smell. Perhaps one day I'll buy the full bottle, but I have about 20mls which is enough to suffice for now. I think it smells better on my skin in cooler weather so I can't wait for Fall and Winter😘

Bacarat Rouge 540 was a blind buy for me and didn't like it when I first smelled it. However, my impression changed soon after I sprayed on my skin and then I started loving it. This is my most complimented fragrance of my collection and I adore it now.😍

I recently got a bottle of it and love it . I like that it's not a fruity or sweet candy type of perfume. It reminds me of a perfume that would have existed in the 60s.

Baccarat Rouge 540 was love at first sniff for me. I tried the Extrait too, but it smelled better on my husband. I ended up getting a bottle of the EDP. I'll probably get my husband the Extrait.

Omg I tried this&loved it but held off so my gorgeous husband surprised me with a bottle of the 540 Extrait De Parfum &oud satin mood. I now hv multiple bck up bottles of baccarat Extrait .They were my 1st MFK fragrances. Little did I know my signature scent fr yrs ,shiseido zen, was made by MFK so I was already drawn to his style. MFK is my fave fragrance house I just can't find a house that beats it. I prefer Extrait De Parfum but that's just me (be careful not to spray on light coloured clothes bc the oil in the Extrait leaves an oil stain) .if u hold the bottle up to the light u can see lil teeny particles of the pressed ingredients &the oil swirling around .each bottle of Extrait has a slightly different colour(u can't see it through the red glass but the card says so)&scent bc the oils are hand done but that's why I love Extrait so much each bottle I hv is slightly different to the last but not enough to change ur mind just enough to feel it was handmade for u.
I've searched high and low and can't find ANYTHING that smells better.... My husband will even wear it and it wears different on both of us. AMAZING

The parfum from that fragrance house that I am absolutely not a fan of is Apom. You may run across that one. Let me know what you think. I love to layer my really “lux” fragrances too. it wasn't love at first sniff with me either. I had to wear it for awhile (the body cream) before I went back and bought the bottle. They gave me a bottle of laundry fragrance and I completely fell in love!! I need to see if they still have it because my bedding always smelt AMAZING!! Thank you for the wonderful review.

I just received it today. My 13 year old says I smell expensive. I want to live all my days in a bottle of Bacc Rouge 540. I’m an old head fragrance lover and I’m floored by this scent. Like how? Wow. Purchased 2.5 ml bottle 15 minutes after first spritz and dry down.
I got a sample of it but I could not smell anything when I sprayed it on my clothes and skin. Only a little while after I could get small wiffs that I sprayed on my jacket but the way people are hyping this up to be a projection monster I just don't get it. Whenever I spray it I cannot smell a damn thing it hurts cos I wanna know what it smells like lol.

Girl, you deserve a million thanks for this video. I bought Baccarat Rough 540 two days back. It was a blind buy. I learned my lesson. Never ever going to blind buy Niche fragrances. I don’t smell anything in the bottle. Neither i felt anything much on skin. Felt like unpurified tap water which consist of lot of iron and other things. I am super disappointed.

I get stopped in my tracks daily...men & women alike asking me what I’m wearing or to say I smell amazing! Unfortunately, I can’t even smell or enjoy it anymore. How and where do you apply yours. I find that no one smells it on me. Not sure if it’s because I’m not spraying in the right places?
@@indiyahfolkes4112 Hey I typically apply at pulse points. Usu apply the fragrance behind both ears, neck, chest & at bend of both arms. It blends with my body chemistry so well I don't even get to enjoy smelling it myself any longer. Surprisingly it's not overpowering..so I hear ;)

Lol I had the same reaction; cotton candy, but later felt in love with it. It smells sweet and spicy oriental to me. It lasts forever on your clothes and skin, when I shower after a day I smell it in the shower.

it's answered in the fifth question from the bottom about the time it takes to develop the perfume. It's so nice to use something luxurious and beautiful and have a clean conscious that no souls are harmed. :)

Hi, I just got my Baccarat Rouge 540. 1st sniff I wasn’t quite impressed but after 2-3 mins as it dries down, it smells very pleasant. I got a lot of compliments from my colleagues and my friends, they told me I smell unique😅😇

Hi Cheraye, you are right that you couldn’t place this fragrance. There is nothing else out there that comes close. The so called dupes do not come close in my opinion. It took me about a year to buy this, and last April during quarantine I treated myself. I can and do wear this fragrance in any kind of weather. Sometimes being in the house I don’t want anything heavy so I have worn it a lot during the lockdown. The only con is that it takes a lot of sprays for it to last on me, and the price, of course. But otherwise, this will be a fragrance I will repurchase.
I couldn't agree with you more, try the body cream it helps with longevity. Sometimes and days I can smell on me and some days I get nothing.
I bought a bottle of Ariana Grande Cloud and I saw people saying it was " inspired " by 540. I ordered a sample of it and honestly I prefer cloud because it is a bit sweeter. I did layer them and they smell so good together. I want to get the 540 lotion and layer it with Cloud.

yes! i prefer cloud wayyy better. 540 has a weird salty/dentist office smell that i don't find appealing
Hi Cheraye, have a look into Burberry Her. Francis Kurkdjian is the perfumer and it gets compared to BR 540 Extrait. It’s a lot more reasonably priced and has great performance. I own it and love it.

My perfume just arrive today. I wish I would have saw this video before I purchased so I would have known what to expect. Yes this was a "blind buy" for me. I bought a travel size of Burberry HER a little while back. I didn't buy the full size because I was not sure if I liked the dry down of Burberry HER. You are so right BR540 reminds me of the Burberry HER but on steroids. The projection of BR540 is much better then HER. IMO the BR540 changes on you as you wear it. Just when you think it's dried to is final note/fragrance it kicks out something else at you. I thought I would have to gift this to a family member but I think I will keep it. I'm starting to really like it. I don't know if that's because of the $$$ I paid for this fragrance OR it's just all "that" and has won me over. Great video. TFS!
I received samples of both fragrances and i had the same reaction as you. But I’m on my 3rd day of trying it and I still don’t love it. I like it but I’m still trying to figure out if it’s the scent for me
Give it a few days and try wearing it out like walk outside with it see if you can smell it how you like it put it on your skin right after I shower and see how it projects

If you wanna buy an actual dupe that smells exactly like br540 its Al-Harmain (I'm not sure if that's how its spelt) but al harmain amber oud ROUGE.
£55 for 100ml and it smells exactly smells like br540.
I couldn’t smell anything and I get sprayed it too and still couldn’t smell it I got the authentic one too, apparently it’s not just me a lot of ppl can’t smell it, I don’t know why :(

I ordered it from royalty scents to try it and I'm wondering if I got the real thing. People describe it as cotton candy and that's not what the scent I was sent smells like. Not really liking it.
In my opinion it doesn't smell like cotton candy at all it does smell very medicinal in the first initial spray however about 45 minutes even up to maybe like an hour and a half it dries down and it does turn a little sweet like brown sugar almost it's really hard to describe it I have several videos on it. Let me know if this helps

I bought it but exchanged it for Angelique Noir by Guarlain. I liked it at first but it turned real masculine on me. But I liked MFK Oud Silk Mood.
My husband is wearing that one today, and it smells amazing!! The rose 🌹 and the oud blends so well.

I tried it and I felt it was too masculine at first. But after a while I really started liking it and now I want a bottle. I will also say that it’s nothing like what I expected _its very heavy on amber .However i also discovered that BBW scent In The Stars is super similar so I am gonna try it first lol
you can just buy Ariana cloud instead :) pretty much same thing

Some people say they can't smell it on their skin, was anyone else able to smell it on you did you receive any compliments do what we're testing if you're not happy with that I definitely send it back

Yes girl!!! Love me some BR 540. You stop smelling it on yourself but the silage is CRAZY! Men love it on me... and Ariana Grande Cloud is actually a great dupe. A little generic smelling, but very very close!

So I purchased it a few day’s ago. I had the sample and I kind of liked it so I bought the perfume. Honestly I’m quite sure it will get pushed to the back of my collection. Is it worth $300? No I would honestly buy a dupe unless you just want to spend 300. Nothing really special about. I feel like I smell like candy with this on. Just my opinion

I do get compliments, I also over spray 🤦🏾♀️ I feel it smells even better as it sits on the body, about 2hours in it's really good! Do you have this fragrance?

It was love at first scent for me a couple of years ago. Literally. Still love it but think it’s becoming so popular that it draws me away from me a little. Maybe I’m just being extra 🤣😭 I think my version of not liking then growing on me was mfk grand soir! I was like what is all the fuss about then slowly as the day went on I kept smelling my arm. Then again. Then kept sniffing away and now really like it. Still doesn’t come close to 540 for me though ☺️

Interesting I never smelled this scent before amd I interact with a lot of people on a daily basis.
I have the extrait version, i love it more than the original, even my husband prefers the extrait on me and he didnt mind if it is much more expensive than the original one, as long as it's blends well with my skin chemistry ❤❤❤
