@@azteacher26 you can't train for 1RM at all times in the same way in terms of powerlifting.. it's a protocol that everyone follows to maximise results while minimising fatigue..

The reaction from the crowd after that 175kg lift?!?!? DID THEY NOT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE SEEING? A pause snatch at 175kg. Lord have mercy. I know why they didn't go crazy , it's because the heaviest thing any of them have ever lifted is a quest bar. He wasted his time performing for those jerks.
Jonathan Brown dude they dont understand sports. they know only physique made from boring body part exercises. he is without any doubt stronger than all the physique guys n bodybuilders there.
This video editing is next level! It almost looks as if this guy just pulled a 175kg pause/hang snatch...barefoot...with no belt....or straps...or wraps. What the fuck even is this wizard level weightlifting fuckery!?
that dude is just being a jurk and has no fucking idea who the guy is, he does cardio, and with those legs, he can run fucking marathons and be on 1st place, and do 190kg snatches until they all finish
So this is probably how it went down. Klokov agrees to come to the arnold. CWS asks "You're going to lift right?" Klokov sasy "I didn't bring my shoes." CWS "Oh thats okay." Klokov "Ill do lifts barefoot" CWS "Okay great" snathes 175 barefoot..... CWS "WTF"
I think with the small white plates the numbers are something like 355 lbs and 161 kg unless the bar is less than 45 lbs (20 kg olympic bar). His pull is fantasticly strong, but his speed under the bar is also something to see. And being that tall too.
So these guys are invited to these events, so people can see some real strong men and women lift heavy weights and they have to perform in front of some idiots that dont know anything about heavy training. Take a look at that guy at 1:14. making fun of a former world champion lifting some heavy ass weight. So sad.
Jokk3asd yeah but the red ones are 25kg, or 55lb's.. it follows down correctly 'more or less' except the little plates. Ah well, still a hell of a lotta weight.
You have to be an alpha male, a winner, to lift like he does, dedicate it to your beautiful wife on her birthday in front of a hot girl and not even blink
You miscalculated from pounds to kilograms: 335LBS is not 152.2kgs, it is 150kgs; 345 LBS is not 156.8kg, it is 155kgs; and 385 LBS is not 175kgs, it is 170kgs. Instead of dividing into 2.2 (which is only an approximate value of converting from pounds to kilograms, or vice versa) if you just count the weight on the bar from kilograms, you will see the numbers I've listed.
Are you serious? Those plates are in lbs and therefore you can't just say the blue ones are 20kg. You will "miss" 0,4kg every plate and with the green ones it's even worse -> 0,8kg less per plate The numers in the video are correct
His pause lifts are incredible.
Dude is so bad ass. Everyone should train with the same tenacity and intensity like he does. The crowd should feel privileged to see him perform
Most likely 90% of his training is boring and not much of a challenge.
@@azteacher26 If you find a sport and develop a passion for it, training will never be boring.

Jonathan Brown and he pause snatched 205 kg he's a beast
Damn a quest bar, damn
personally for me, i know klokov is much much stronger than that so it's meh...still impressive but not by his own standard lol
Because they have no fukin idea of this sport, they should keep lifting the quest bar
385lb PAUSE-hang snatch + barefoot + RAW (not even a belt!)....what sorcery is this ? ?
Not even straps on hands, just wrist bracing. Klokov is not human
He has done 205 kg paus snatch
This is some Harry Potter level shit. Wingardium levi... Klokov ATTACK!!!!!
the belt in the snatch is useless
Where has he done 205kg pause snatch? I've seen him do 200kg pause but not 205kgs.

Long distance yea. But weightlfiters are argueably the most explosive atheletes in the world. So he can probably sprint pretty damn fast.
did he really say that? why? makes no sense to me

He also didn't touch a barbell for 2 months prior to this (you can hear him say it in russian in his own video)
99% of the crowd can't squat that much (am sure I can't too lol)
99% percent of people that TRAIN cant shrug lift that.. let alone shrug it.
Can’t even deadlift 😂
The crowd cracked me up when they said “YOU CAN’T RUN” knowing damn well the weight Dmitry had on the bar was a little warm up of 245lbs lol 😂
Hercules lives, confirmed...
Watching someone pause snatch my deadlift pr is kind of bitter sweet tbh.... 😂 😂
That crowd is dead. I would have gone crazy seeing this in front of my eyes.
Let them enjoy the show.
Never seen him shaking so hard like at the last snatch. Like in olympic performance. All or nothing.
His shoulder mobility is insane.

Your speed under the bar is incredible!
at 3:55 he yelled: Yana, this is for you.
He actually said Лена - это для тебя. His wife’s name is Lena (Elena) not Yana 👍.

I was sent this video - that's hyperarch mechanism at work. ATT is out.
SUPERKLOKOV!
Hércules is in the building
Not sure I'd stand right in front of him. The best lifters in the world can still loose the bar forward every once in a great while.
