Plastics are expensive these days it's a huge transformation you get with a little time and materials that to me seem like stuff you can find at your home already. I seen your headlight video too, a vehicle always looks 10 times better with some crystal clear headlights you did a great job on those too bro. Thanks for the comment
Great Video, I'll be re-watching numerous times. The main problem with my plastics is I removed a lot of stickers and the red under the stickers looks like new and the rest of the fenders look faded, but this will help me. THANKS Mike from Nebraska.
I’m just getting back into atv builds I do lot of dirt bike builds and race them But now I picked up a 99 400ex gonna do a xc build as well Love the content man

Awesome content!! Hey i was wondering if you have ever came across or heard of a issue where a 400ex won’t shut off? I’ve got a 1999 model with a new wiring harness and key switch, handlebar switch and a new coil, after starting it up the key switch nor the handlebar switch won’t shut it off. The only way i can shut it is to pull the plug wire off. I’m stumped on this never had one do this before. Any idea would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
@@garagemcmatt i bought a oem wiring harness. The guy I bought it from said it was doing the same thing when he had it, plus he didn’t have a key switch he just had it hot wired. That’s why I replaced everything but the cdi box. I have the ground to the harness grounded at the right spot just like oem. Just can’t figure it out
@@travisthomas7857 ok so that narrows it down to nothing else being wrong. Look up a wire diagram and double check continuity from end to end on each wire concentrating on all ground wires and go from there. That's how I would go about it.
@@travisthomas7857 no problem bro. If you need help email me at garagemc549@gmail.com Then just leave a comment so I know to check it and I'll help you if I can or if you need another wire harness lmk I have them here and I have friends that part quads out
Hey Matt, dont know if you’ll get this comment a year later, I did wet sand 220, 600, 800. When I got to 800 there were still a bunch of swirl scratches probs from 220 grit. Is 220 too low? Should I get 320 or 400 then work my way to 600, 800, 1000?

Look exactly like how I restore headlights.

It sounds like your wire harness might not be grounding out the circuit. Did you buy a oem replacement harness or one from ebay?
