I actually think most people ship them, however more as a later in the show kind of thing... Right now Im happy with Bughead and I think they are cute, also thought that in the comics, but I still want Betty and Archie in the end. Don't care if its the last season, but i do want them at some point... But mostly I want them when they have all moved on from their previous partners. And hopefully no cheating will happen!!!!!!!!

I get so upset thinking about the possibility that the writers will just ignore this ship because of the possibility of 12 year olds losing their shit over their otps not being end game. Lili and KJ have shit tons of chemistry plus Archie and Betty themselves treat each other with a lot of respect and seem to genuinely care about each other. Screw the mainstream ships, Barchie all the way.

Same girl, I have never really seen the chemistry with Varchie, because they haven't really focused on that, it has always been portrayed as a sexual relationship more than anything else.... And it actually sucks that they just have them be fuck buddies basically and then saying they love each other even though they probably don't, not in the same way that Bughead love each other...
All I want is just some shaking up in relationships, like Betty dating someone else, Veronica dating someone else ect. a little bit more angst.

It’s clear that they have chemistry between them and I think that exploring their relationship and maybe even them getting together would be an interesting turning point and may add in a more realistic story. People are constantly changing relationships especially in high school and I genuinely believe that a love triangle and break ups for a longer period of time would be interesting.
