Not a barchie shipper, but I believe that Archie has always had feelings for her, and seeing her with Juggy made him realize that he wanted her. He didn’t take the chance when he had it, and that’s his fault.
Pizza Homo you’re absolutely right. In one of the earlier episodes I remember him saying that he thought it’d be better in the long run.. like he was scared that’d it ruin their friendship if something were to happen and he’d lose his best friend.
