- If you are wondering about the name of this Maurer Söhne SkyLoop coaster - Ukko is the god of thunder in Finnish mythology, who possessed a weapon (usually a hammer, but sometimes an axe or a sword) with which he struck thunderbolts. Like the other eight SkyLoop XT150 models currently in operation, this one stands just over 151 feet tall with a top speed of 65 mph.
Linnanmäki is located in Helsinki, Finland.

HOLY SHIT THAT WAS ME SCREAMING ON THE BACKGROUND! This was my first time on Ukko and I was freaking out. I was with my two friends, I can hear one of them laughing and another one saying "ouch" at one point. I was watching this and thought: "Hey, I was exactly like this girl when I was on the ride for the first time"... then I hear my friends, and also remember that man's laughter! This is so embarrassing! What are the chances you were filming right then?!

Ukko is the scariest one in Linnanmäki, really frightening. The video does not show the feelings you experience there especially the horror you are hanging upside down above the 50 meters of nothing and the feel how you are slipping out the holder. I suggest to try it last.

I went to ride Ukko yesterday...IT WAS SCARY AS SHIT!!! U have no idea how people feel when they're hanging upside down 50m in the air. Keeping ur eyes closed is a bad idea...it just makes u feel worse than it already is...i did that mistake xD

after being in every ride at linnanmäki, i would say this is the scariest in my opinion :DDD it feels kinda like you are almost falling off when its upside down for so long

Great ride! Probably the scariest in Linnanmäki for me. Taiga is crazy too, but you don't have time to be scared.
The scariest part of it is when it goes upside down, because it feel like you are falling out of it. After that part it's easy.
I wish this ride had shoulder restraints. The lap bar kind of hurts at the part where you're hanging upside down and it's hard to appreaciate the height and speed of the ride when you're so focused on the fact that you're slowly slipping out and will probably fall head first into the ground soon. Of course that has never happened before, but it certainly feels like a real possibility.
It won’t happen though. It doesn’t need to have shoulder restraints just because you’re scared of it, which is the entire point btw, and an over the shoulder restraint would hurt a LOT more
What I find a bit scary about Ukko is that you have no shoulder straps, just a heavy lap bar. It's pretty much impossible to slip out of the seat, but it sure feels like you could while you are hanging upside down. I tend to cling on for dear life while upside down, even though I know nothing's gonna happen. It's a little bit rattly so if you are easily prone to headaches, you might want to keep a few centimeters of distance from the seat with your neck instead of pressing your head flat back for the downhill part. Also, just before you get hauled down, the ride comes to an abrupt stop that might slam your head back if you're not prepared and bracing for it.

Ku menin ekaa kertaa ukkoon niin turvaikaiteet paino kylkiluihin niin kovaa et tuli oikein kunnon mustelmat olin varmaa lihonu sillon
Vähän myöhäs mut kävin tänää tässä. Lol itekki pelotti ihan järjettömästi ku tota lähettiin hinaamaan ylös. Mut sit menin uudestaan heti xd

I think the backseats are the best in this particular coaster, because when the ride goes backwards first time, the backseats go farthest.

I was in linnanmäki yesterday and i went in ukko and kirnu. Both were kinda crazy. I am from finland and ukko is crazyest rollercoaster in finland

Tarkoitan että rata saatiin kasaan, mutta saamme odotella viellä että pääsemme siihen kyytiin kolme kuukautta, joka on hieman tylsää. ainoa miinus tässä ja hypessä on että ne ovat shuttle eli sukkularatoja sxe tarkoittaa että radalla on yksi juna koska se kulkee myös takaperin.
