Rode that a few times years ago pre-covid. I went there last year and sadly, The dragon and this Mine Train is gone. The Minetrain is surely one of the coaster rides with the best view!
The Mine Train was very pretty and very popular when it opened in 1999! On a hot sunny day, you would have a beautiful view of the sea during the spiral section. I had fond memories of it. The Gs it pulled was by far the best out of the three roller coasters too. It scared a lot of kids including me! (Edited because I thought the ride opened in the early-2000s. It was in fact 1999.)
This makes me wonder if the park is doing well, or that it just shifted focus. I mean, the coasters that were removed looked pretty old, but nothing seems to return. And the view, its combination with coaster's height should be moneymaking.
Oh really! Well hopefully they'll really keep the arrow looping dragon and any other classic coaster that have and reopen them! I'm praying for them to keep dragon!
Artic blast is my favourite, intense but not too intense, and it fits for even 100cm tall children! Plus it was the only coaster I could go on since I wasn’t old enough for hair raiser
On minetrain the drop after the bird cage gave a great airtime pop. Fun coaster with great views. Hopefully they are planning to modernizing that side of the park like they did the midway area where Hair Raiser and Arctic Blast are.
Unfortunately the wild west mine train was no longer in service, which is sad not only because it is one of the classics, it was also my first entry to thrill rides since it was much slower & had no loops.
The city itself is pretty fast paced and busy. Definitely rich in culture, and packed with foods, shops and street vendors. I was lucky to meet some English speaking locals, who helped me navigate my way around. A lot of beautiful places to see, and that view of Victoria Harbour is a treat. It was super humid when I went too. I wouldn’t say the people were the friendliest, but at the same time, I think people are just living their lives so they don’t pay too much attention to others.
It's literally one of the safest cities in the world and very welcoming to Westerners (albeit admittedly more so if you're white). Very easy to get around too, even without speaking a word of Chinese. Just don't transit in Mainland China - I made the mistake of transiting in Shanghai last year and it was literally the most convoluted and confusing transit process ever!
Those views from the mine train were so pretty. They must have been amazing in person .

Great views and scenery but I'm convinced it wasn't designed for anyone over 5ft tall! So uncomfortable, my knees wouldn't fit under the lap bar!

They are closing the old midway
Really wish they kept that arrow looping coaster it looks so good along with their other rides!
It did I but I remember having a rlly sore head after that ride, the tracks were way too old@@JohnFleming-sw7hn
According to rcdb they are just standing but not operating

One of the most picturesque locations anywhere!
The coasters at Ocean Park have always been pretty lame, but those views cannot be beaten. Stunning scenery from every angle!
I remember playing these during my childhood

HK fan here, nice video!

Dragon looks like something I’d make in tpt2
Your talented of riding every roller coaster
love mine train - from HK
The only park where you get on the rides for the lift
Wdym
🤩
Why the dragon closed on 2022
You guys are so lucky
Immelmann on a sit down/floor-less is quite rare.
Wholesome community lovely riders
Holy mama I went on the first one like 15 times straight last year 😍
Me when I was little: I’ll wait till I get tall enough to ride the mine train Yippe!
Now: it got shut down :(
The mine train and dragon are listed as SBNO on RCDB
What about hairraiser?
They are not expected to ever re-open.
@@crossboyadam9398literally rode it 2 months ago and still operating to this day
Ok
Cool video , these look smooth.
Hair Raiser looks very similar to Kumba at Busch Gardens, at least in the first half of the ride. Was one inspired by the other?
how much do you even travel to just ride coasters??
I rode the dragon in 2020
What’s the city like? I’ve always wanted to go, but being so close to China seems dangerous

It's fine. We've been many times and going back again this summer. Always look forward to our Hong Kong visits.
@@themeparkreview that’s good

How do you know I live in Hong Kong?
I can’t wait for houston rodeo I going to on a rides
dragon and mine train are still at the park, just not open, and more than likely will never reopen
Mine train was so fun with the vr before but they shut it down
Imagine watching this vid in 2x speed😂
wow
What ride is replacing wild West mine train
I never got to ride the mine train or dragon, and sadly both have since closed.
The mine train is a good ride that scared me more that the hair raiser
Yes, the mine train is most scary coz there is no seat belt, just holding a bar 😱felt like dropping at the cliff
Why there's no Arctic blast
Wow
香港海洋公園
Arctic blast looks safety to me 😅
Green
Wait i was wrong
Last one was dead
Monsters, Inc.
go to valley fair
And only Hair Raiser left.
Arctic Blast is also still there.
Ou crapp
These coasters suck lmao
