      W P I just find it hard to get the tone I want. When I switch from a passive guitar on the same metal tone rig to my schecter it just sound so much flatter. It may be my lack of experience with active pickups but the passive are set it and forget it.

    • @royalcat10
      @royalcat10 4 роки тому +1

      That was the specific aesthetic they were going for with the Apocalypse line when it first came out. A lot of Schecter guitars tend to be a little bit gaudy, so they came out with the Apocalypse line that had a very stripped down look to cater to that audience. "Old Barn Door" was exactly their goal.
      However, if you go to Schecter's website, they have another finish of the Apocalypse line with the same specs called "Red/Blue Reign" which looks a little similar to their Red or Blue Hellraiser model/finish. At least what's listed on the website, I don't think theres a Baritone scale version in those finishes, but I'm sure they may come out with one if they see the other version is selling well... Or you put the idea in their ear by talking someone.

    • @monsterk7603
      @monsterk7603 4 роки тому

      @@royalcat10 yeah, I love the red and blue reign finishes. Those are stunning. You are correct, though. No EX / baritone in those. The only EX is the barn door. Lol. Like I said, it's not horrible, but it could definitely be a better color without being gaudy, IMHO.

    I love my hellraiser just not the pickups but I have the Fishman Merrows on the way to fix that. Roommate picked up a demon 6 with a floyd and threw the Adlers in it and that thing is a shred machine now. I would say the appocalypse would be a great pickup demo model the appocalypse pickups are crap and need to be replaced anyways lol.

      @@jacobmarcelino3584 depends on tuning and gain structure your after. The keith merrow fishmans are more to my taste for active pickups. Dimarzio Fortitude or Dominion for passives. Look up Mike Stamper on here hes spent years compiling the most comprehensive pickup sample to date

      @@Excellerator420 okay, thank you. i’ll look into that before i buy one. my only slight limitation is that i only need the bridge pickup, and a lot of signature pickups only come in sets 😂

    When your guitar covers the bottom of your t-shirt, it just looks like you're wearing a pro-Epstein shirt. Which is not a good look. Maybe save this one for the FAQS?
