“Once everything was ROCK HARD in the morning” I bet everything was. I found that so funny, but take it wrong it just made me laugh. I really love your work and the content you make. Your voiceovers are one of my favorite parts next to your beautiful models.
Because of Night Shift I have officially sold my first commissioned model of Gaspatch's 1:48 Salmson 2A2 Mid Type! THANK YOU NIGHT SHIFT FOR GETTING ME INTO THE HOBBY!
Now You need to make a matching vignette where the hull without the turret sits in the woods and if You don't want to do the inside of the tank then put a fallen tree on it or make the tank overgrown with plants.
"My haste and my lack of brain cells that caused such an unpleasant problem." That's a mood. In all seriousness, it still came out amazing and you had a great way to overcome the issue. Hope you have a great vacay, NS!
Even when there's a mistake, Uncle, you still manage to roll with the flow and come up with approachable solutions. Love the fish detail! Made me smile when you were painting them!
What I absolutely love in your videos is that models, effects and dioramas/vignettes that were on an impossible level of skill for me are decomposed and explained so well, that it becomes very clear how this and that should be done, and very easy to do. The rest is the matter of 'technical' skills. And my models that were made after I found your channel are a great confirmation of that :)
3:30 so you're telling us you spent hours rearranging a figure, a turret and a piece of wood on a styrofoam. That's passion for the hobby if I've ever seen it.
Love the fish!! Every time I get stuck in a bit of a hobby rut and don’t feel like modelling, your videos always inspire me and make me want to pick up the brushes and hobby knife again!
By far my favorite project you’ve done was the “cats and dogs” jagdpanther build. I know it was a long time ago now but it really shows the immense amount of detail you put into your builds. I’m not a modeler myself but i watch a lot of modeling channels and so far I haven’t seen anyone use a real life example of the power lines outside of their house for a model. I love your content and I’ve been watching for a while just thought I should comment this to hopefully give your day a boost. 💕
Anymore dioramas and your backyard will be down to bedrock. Awesome build, love these vignette vids (probably a little more than your full dioramas, weird huh?) and the potent concise story the viewer can glean from them (the UXB vignette is breathtaking). Cheers.
So, I am LOVING these small vignettes using leftovers. I never thought of this, and it’s honestly a great way to accomplish something cool in a much smaller time frame. That stump is sooooo col
I actually liked the look of the edges with the process, even though it was a mistake in resin mixing. The sloped edges seemed more natural in the scene.
always great to see a new night shift video! also, using extra parts from an old model is an amazing use of the old stuff that you might not have used otherwise
You sir, are an artist! There are many people on this platform that make excellent models, but you take it to the next level with your scenery. You need to start selling your back garden in small plastic bags! ;)
That plant work is fantastic. You've really inspired me to try a forest floor terrain piece with all the different plant products! Enjoy your vacation :) You thoroughly deserve it!
Excellent Diorama. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it here but if you put a couple of drops of dish soap in your bottle of diluted PVA it should break the surface tension and soak in, saving you the trouble of using IPA. That's what I've always done and it works for me. Keep the videos coming.
Two tiny critiques I have (among a PLETHORA of praises) are these: The "roots" of the tree trunk look a little "janky" like an octopusian (if that's a word) alien, and the pants on the figure are a tad bit too bright and not blended softly enough into the shadows. The rest of this dio is MASTERFULLY DONE! The broken tree trunk looks sublime and the groundwork is outta this World (or EXACTLY LIKE this World!!). Yeah, the water effects along the edges of the base aren't perfect, but I think it looks fine. As usual, the blown off tank turret is a masterclass in armor modeling! What a perfect little diorama!!! I just found this channel and I've been binge watching around the clock. I think these are some of the best dioramas in the World!
love it, love it, love it! a lil' thing that I would add, is a bit of organic debris and dust accumulated in the creases of the turret, and maybe rain stains, somethong like that. cheers to that beautiful work!
I like the stained wood panels on the sides of the base better than black. I use stained wood plaques on my diorama bases. I think it looks a little more professional and clean, although the black looks good too, and maybe even looks better on certain dioramas. Actually, with enough planning, you could use the black sides (of the built up groundwork) on TOP of a nicely framed plaque! Adding a brass nameplate or "Title" is cool too!
Your skills are unreal, watched every video and every new one I'm blown away 🙏 Have you ever tried making a diorama with cracked ice? Like a frozen lake/stream or partially frozen puddles is it possible? Enjoy your Holiday Shift!
Thanks for posting this up. I always love the things I learn from your videos, and both your attention to detail, and your open-ness with problems and "happy accidents" you talk about are greatly appreciated. I can't wait to see your next "modern" project but more importantly, enjoy your vacation! I'm sure it's well deserved!
As an angler (who particularly targets Perch on lures) I approve this vignette. Outstanding attention to detail as always Martin. Every new video eagerly awaited.
I know that the turret should be the focal point, but I just can't get over how good the tree stump looks. I am just so very impressed at the finished effect..
I’m very interested in model trains and these form of dioramas. I have been consider to do another diorama themed around my childhood favorite show. This will take practice as my first diorama was for a school essay and I made that 6 years ago. After that I haven’t tried anything else besides a temporary outside layout. So I think it would a fun thing to do this summer.
Very weird things happen in war and tornadoes 🌪️💥 No explanation necessary 😁 It's your vignette Uncle Night Shift, do what you want. Great job. I'll be waiting to see what you come up with next. 👍
“Once everything was ROCK HARD in the morning” I bet everything was. I found that so funny, but take it wrong it just made me laugh. I really love your work and the content you make. Your voiceovers are one of my favorite parts next to your beautiful models.
Yeah, it caught me a bit off guard lol
I have binge watched all your other material, so am always excited when I see something new ... Never disappointed - keep up the good work.
Because of Night Shift I have officially sold my first commissioned model of Gaspatch's 1:48 Salmson 2A2 Mid Type! THANK YOU NIGHT SHIFT FOR GETTING ME INTO THE HOBBY!
Congratulations on your first commission build, it must feel really good, best regards from Australia, 👍👍👍👍
That is so cool, congratulations!
Getting to watch Uncle Night Shift whilst working a Night Shift? What a treat!!!
Its very good to see you again night shift

I like these smaller scenes with the occasional big project
A dog at the start of a nightshift video? A blessing indeed!
Always love seeing a new Night Shift video. Keep it up.❤
Btw this was day 91 of trying to get noticed by Night Shift mission complete
The beauty of your creations lies not only in your technical skills, but in the balance and artistry of the compositions. Thanks much for your work.
I agree his artistic and stylistic approach is what breathes life into the work.
"My haste and my lack of brain cells that caused such an unpleasant problem."
That's a mood.
In all seriousness, it still came out amazing and you had a great way to overcome the issue. Hope you have a great vacay, NS!
im going to make my first diorama for a 1/72 scale model ,and im going to use your videos as some type of tutorial , love your work
its always a great day when nightshift uploads
Even when there's a mistake, Uncle, you still manage to roll with the flow and come up with approachable solutions.
Love the fish detail! Made me smile when you were painting them!

Happy upcoming vacation. The diorama looks great.
Just another night shift classic 😄
Just got home from vacation, your video is the perfect rest at the end of the day.
What I absolutely love in your videos is that models, effects and dioramas/vignettes that were on an impossible level of skill for me are decomposed and explained so well, that it becomes very clear how this and that should be done, and very easy to do. Hello. A very nice little Dio. Again a masterpiece from you. Thx for showing.
Good to see another one if your fantastic videos 👍👍😎😎

Always an Outstanding video and presentation.
Enjoy your vacation.
Für mich ist es Kunst was Du machst. ❤ Ich habe soviel gelernt durch deine Videos und bin Dir sehr dankbar. 😘🍺👍
3:30 so you're telling us you spent hours rearranging a figure, a turret and a piece of wood on a styrofoam. That's passion for the hobby if I've ever seen it.
This is a great example of why you shouldn't toss your bits. A moment of creation may hit you! 😎
Love the fish!! Every time I get stuck in a bit of a hobby rut and don’t feel like modelling, your videos always inspire me and make me want to pick up the brushes and hobby knife again!
Time to make a vignette. I have lots of leftover parts. Love what you did with the tree!

Good day to you Mr. Night Shift.

Love it, I really really like it good work night shift
I mostly do planes in 1/32 but watching your videos made me come back to armor. Thanks for your hard work!

hahaha Love the fish mate... very nice build
Thank you , Uncle Martin .
🐺 Loupis Canis .
I love your floors lol 😆
As always nicely done.......Can"t wait whats next to build here.
Just as I was on a binging spree of your old videos, Nightshift returns in glorious fashion.
Love how you make the small things look awesome so much effort into a small but detailed project.
When you mix your resin pour it into another mixing pot and mix again, this will ensure you get a more even mix. I learnt the hard way as well... 🤣
I actually liked the look of the edges with the process, even though it was a mistake in resin mixing. The sloped edges seemed more natural in the scene.
You build an paint dioramas I dreamt of making as a kid,,,great work man 😊🏴
2:21 I am dying 😂😂😂
Congratulation! Next fantastic work! 🙂🙋
Loving the new wooden sides! Really makes it look more professional, so to say, Keep it up man!
I love your work! It has gotten me back into the hobby and just finished my first diorama in 15 years! Thank you
Am I the only one who laughed when whipped out that massive dagger. It was just so random.
always great to see a new night shift video!
also, using extra parts from an old model is an amazing use of the old stuff that you might not have used otherwise
Binge Watching your vids on a road trip and saw you uploaded
When I see you posted it makes me want to stay up even later than 2 am
Good work! So much detail) Thank you for video!
Yes! Another video!
You sir, are an artist! There are many people on this platform that make excellent models, but you take it to the next level with your scenery. You need to start selling your back garden in small plastic bags! ;)
Great work Martin! The little vignettes are some of the coolest! Love the plants and the river details, awesome!
That plant work is fantastic. You've really inspired me to try a forest floor terrain piece with all the different plant products!
Enjoy your vacation :) You thoroughly deserve it!

I know it doesn't really fit your style, but I liked when you added the little fish around the tank! It just made it seem more lively.
Am absolutely in love with all your videos, your honestly the best armour modeller on UA-cam. Keep it going!

Simply outstanding Martin !!! I love how well done vignettes can convey such a poignant story.
Well done as always sir 👍👍
Yes somebody My Garden TM's monopoly. Truly hope My Backyard TM can shake up the market, excited for their catalogue
Splendid, simple and artistic...I love your work!
love it, love it, love it! a lil' thing that I would add, is a bit of organic debris and dust accumulated in the creases of the turret, and maybe rain stains, somethong like that. cheers to that beautiful work!
It’s so amazing how easily you fix mistakes

After having a rough bad day this made it sooo much better!!!

Enjoy your Holiday Shift!
I dont know how but you always make it look so good. Keep it up Martin!
have a good vacation! 10 years is a lot of time and u deserve it for posting these vids. Hope u have fun and take a nice break :)
Really effective vignette. Simple ideas often turns out to be the best. Very clever solutions. I truly enjoyed it. Enjoy your vacation!
Yet another fantastic build. You have some serious talent when it comes to composing vignettes and dioramas.
I love your ingenuity when it comes to reusing parts from other models to make something amazing!!!
Happy travels, first vacation in years I now the feeling.
Thank you Martin for another great video! Have fun on your vacation!!!
I always look forward to Martin's videos. And I always book mark and save them for future reference.

Nice recovery with the resin. Enjoy the vacation.
Night shift your skill is perfect for scrapyard scenes like for instance the rev w awdrys drawings of scrapped trains
As an angler (who particularly targets Perch on lures) I approve this vignette.
Outstanding attention to detail as always Martin. Every new video eagerly awaited.
Amazing, I love how far you take the natural details.
For your next 'palate cleanser' vignette, build The Tonk. After all, you already build The Tank of the Lake'.
😂👍🤦♂️
Make something out of leftover parts! Great! 🤩
it looks really good I enjoyed the process i love despite miner mistakes with the water it all turned out great.
Despite the small size it looks absolutely fantastic.
I know that the turret should be the focal point, but I just can't get over how good the tree stump looks. I am just so very impressed at the finished effect..
That's NOT a mess! Not even close! Another great video...
Wow! Love it. Plants looked amazing in this one. Great work!
Gorgeous wee dio, and enjoy your vacation.
Amazing! Small vignettes are the best.
