    I have a sure-trac and I wish you would offer an optional hoist upgrade to your lower end models. I'm going to upgrade with a Load Trail with a scissor hoist standard equipped.

    Power up, power down sicsor is the strongest frame, least twisting, most expensive to build and the best! With six tons of liftting power on 7 ton trailer it has NEVER failed to lift what was in my trailer. Telescopic= most direct power, really streched out=flimsy plus cheep to make ;; so we should like them. Jusy don't look trust worthy in ALL conditions. Too many seals and extended leverage-- bet it just works great in theory & when Brand New . Just my 21/2 cnts worth. Glade you guys offer all three systems. Saving 45.oo$ on gravity down is a real looser!

    • @SSMedic
      @SSMedic 3 роки тому +4

      Yeah, but the telescopic type has way less maintenance compared to scissor lift. The scissor lift has tons of moving parts, when they wear out, the parts may be proprietary and hard to get, or really expensive. The telescopic type just has seals to replace. The telescopic design also saves on weight, you get way more payload in the trailer. Gravity down on both systems, so no benefit there. All in all, I think that the cycle time of the scissor lift is the only benefit. Think about it for a minute, how do dump trucks work? how do semi dump trailers work? They all use the telescopic system. The telescopic system wins as it is cheaper to build, maintain and it gives ultimate payload to the trailer.

      @@SSMedic just fixed a tri-axle dump truck telescopice bed hoist & was Almost a CATOSTROFIC failer. The top packing collar and seal was on its last thread & ready to BLOW APART. It wasen't even leaking, just so happend to notice it when my partner lifted the bed for a air line inspection & was totally clue-less about the impending doom. A driver would never know this in day to day operations. Have seen two catostrofic telescopic failures in last 25 years. Both cases where a semi & quad-axle were ever so slightly off-level dumping dirt off road---load transfer starts the lean & WAMO rolls truck twistes lift cylinder (snaps) & comes with a horific crash down. Same thing happened to a single axel with a scissor hoist rool over, but just broke the mirror off & dented the door (much smaller rig only 8 tons of dirt). Truth be told a telescopic can lift way more & usually twice of what trailer or truck can leaglly or desighned to haul or lift. There direct drive end leverage lift is (Terroribly) impressive. Would only rely on this system on ; dead-level & hard-hard surfaces, or when no other system is avaliable. Thank -you, Sir.

    The telescopic hoist is what I had on my dump trucks but the big part was at the bottom at the frame the cisser hoist saw a few of them go through beds of boxes and trailer boxes also but put to much weight on you can do it but remember if dumping always look up better safe than sorry and make sure to look at dumping site put heal of boot down to see how soft it is just saying

    I have been happy with my 16’ gooseneck telescopic dump, with low sidewalls. It is not as fast as a scissor lift, but never stresses with heavy loads. I use it to move my excavator and a couple extra D rings would be appreciated. And this is a small complaint but you may want to find a new zero fitting supplier, I had 3 of yours break off with the first use. All considered, the trailer is well made and has served me well. I use it almost daily around our farm.

      We will pass along the note on zerk fittings to our quality team for review.

    Does one option dump the trailer at a steeper angle than the others? I have a dual cylinder one currently and the angle isn't steep enough to dump sod and dirt with any amount of moisture

    I need to know which one best hoist trailer for last longer ?

    • @SureTracTrailersPage
      @SureTracTrailersPage  4 роки тому +3

      Telescopic hoist offers the best mechanical angle for dumping, which reduces the stress applied to the dump bed and frame. This will aid in longer life, but we have not seen any particular failures in any model to confirm which will last longer.

      Leave you hanging video I assume... No word on what's the best for lifting power,,, because he don't know the difference between them,,, best I can tell... The scissor lift gives you more power with less cycles,,, a short stroke and your up there... Shortest stroke so it's also the fastest way... Fluid will take the path of least resistance,,, thus if your load is uneven a dull cylinder may fight each other warping your bed,,, ad you need to pump all that fluid to fill them,,, that's more running time to rundown your battery... In the end the Scissor lift does more work with less of everything thus will last longer...

    What types of jacks are available when you have a flat tire hauling 5 ton on rocks? Am expecting an answer from this platform. Seems they sell you trailers without a possibility of a Jack. Who out there knows the answer?

    • @SureTracTrailersPage
      @SureTracTrailersPage  2 місяці тому +1

      Hi William, you can use any jack that you use for changing a tire on a vehicle.

    Telescopic have more seals to replace. I think the scissors

    • @SSMedic
      @SSMedic 3 роки тому +1

      Scissors has more moving parts, bushings, bearings, pins etc. Brand new, I agree, the scissors probably is better but longterm, I think the telescopic type is better. You may have to change out seals once in a while, but overall, you get more payload and better lifting capacity. I think if the other systems are what dump trailers always used to have and thats why they are still popular. I'll trust what dumptrucks and semi dump trailers have been using for decades as the proven method to dump a trailer.

  • @highvalleycowboy1

    Telescopic is just to flimsy. Id be terrified of not being on perfectly flat ground. Also, if you bump, or drop something on that lift its gonna mess it up.
    Scissor lift or dual ram all the way.

    • @SureTracTrailersPage
      @SureTracTrailersPage  2 роки тому +1

      For the last 4-5 years the Telescopic hoist has proven to be very efficient. So much so, that a lot of the key trailer manufacturers have added the telescopic hoist to their lineup. But, the Scissor lift and Dual Ram units have long history of being reliable hoist options. Can't go wrong either way!

      who has a jack to lift up um 5 ton of rock, with a flat tire? On a dump trailer? Heard there was no industry standard on a flat tire jack. Would appreciate any input.

      The current models have a slight different bulkhead / tarp mount due to the cylinder being mounted out on the front.

    Guys if you want the most lifting power without a doubt get the telescopic ! Nothing worse than one want lift and got shovel off the front . If you load the scissor little too heavy on the front they want lift most of the time
