    Lake Mead is a super tough place ultra Clearwater obviously lots of pressure what I've been told is there's just not a lot of giants in it either it's kind of hard to get a keeper well done

    Thanks for the look at Lake Mead. I've read Bass Wars and how Rick Clunn won his second US Open. This gives me a good visual for what the lake looks like.

    I’ve been enjoying the videos. I’ve been wanting to check out lake mead now that I live in Nevada. If you want some truly breathtaking views you should fish up in Alaska. The mountains in Nevada are like hill compared to what we’ve got there haha.

    The last tournament I fished on Lake Mead was a US Open and I remember F-18’s circling the lake and when we got back to Calville dock to check in they said the towers had came down in NY. 9/11/01. I think I won like $7k in that tournament but it never meant much after what happened. 😕

      If you had the time to fish earlier or later in the evening the topwater bite here is right at daybreak, homies right there are other ways but this is always the one that puts good fish in the boat. Literally have a rod just for weightless techniques but yeah I definitely felt your pain. Lol

    • @corykent7
      @corykent7 4 роки тому +1

      One of the best strategies to place well in the US OPEN, (Other than getting there and practicing for 3 weeks prior) is moving 100mph with a buzzbait. 95% of the time, they wont eat it, but they'll follow it. After that, set it down, and throw a drop shot/ned rig/shaky head/etc. at it.
      Also, for me anyway....if there's no wind....forget about it! Watch the weather reports. Follow the wind!
