- Want that piece of mind? We all put so much into our bikes and well beyond what an insurance company tells us it's worth. Why not protect it? This is a quick install video on a great security system for your Harley Davidson or pretty much any other bike. Easy install as well!
Description
SRX-900 Security System kit includes:
Hands-free Smart remote with Alerts and USB charger: Our smart remote provides a hands free experience, the easiest way to arm and disarm without having to reach for your remote. If the alarm goes off, a real-time security alert will be pushed to your remote. Check your remote to see what triggered the alert - either someone got too close to your bags, touched your bike or tried to move it.
Main control module with built in siren: The Main Control Module has built in shock, tilt and ignition sensors. The built in 125db multi-tone siren will make them wish they never touched your bike.
3 wire installation harness: You can do it yourself with the simple 3-wire harness. If you need help, a SCORPIO Pro is ready and waiting.
RFID Antenna
SRX-900 Security System Optional accessories:
Perimeter sensor: The sensor that detects if anyone gets too close to your bike, saddlebags, or accessories.
Starter disable: The ultimate theft deterrent, prevent thieves from riding off.
Backup remote: Want a second remote? The SRX-900 is compatible with up to 2 remotes. Choose between the hands-free remote or an additional hands-free remote with alerts. The choice is yours.
Notes:
Want hands-free operation, but not looking for alerts to a remote? Try our SRX-800
The SRX-900 does not have GPS tracking or alerts to your phone.
Are looking for notifications to your phone or GPS tracking? Take a look at our RLINK system.
OEM integration kits: (Optional and not required)
Our OEM integration kits will plug inline of the rear turn signals and license plate light or rear tail light connections on available models. This kit takes the guess work out of finding a switch power source. Simply connect to your license plate light connector, and left and right rear turn signals, connect the SRX main harness to battery + and - and you are done.
All Scorpio alarm systems come with a easy to install three wire, universal harness. The universal harness connects directly to the + and - battery terminals and positap connector will connect to a switch power source. A good switch power source is a running light or license plate light positive wire. Switch power can be anything that has 12v when the bike is on, and 0 volts when the bike is off.
Some kits will not connect to turn signals based on the electrical architecture of the bike.
So this is quite a lot more involved than I thought it would be
Dang! Cops show up quick too! Thanks for the tutorial my brother.
Lol
10:02 i ffw to the part where the alarms going off, then im like damn the sheriff is already there...
Thank you. This was very helpful.
Thank you for the video. I think I’ll leave out the hijack option too.
I have a .45 caliber Anti-Hijack device that will never endanger my fuel injectors. 🤣
🤣🤣🤣
When you put the remote and keys in the mailbox at the end...was it the alarm system or the extra proximity sensor triggering the alarm...Thanks Great Video
Can I install the SRX-900 on my 2016 Honda Rebel?
I had a car alarm with a wire that tapped the ignition, and jsut like you are worrying about, I had to dig under my dash at one point and rip it out in the middle of the night cuz the dang thing went bad. I also had a Scorpio on one of my sport bikes....the lean sensor and proximity sensor worked great. Nowadays I simply toss a cable lock on the bike and I have an apple airtag stashed on each of my bikes....so if it disappears, I am tracking it and they better hope the Police get to them before I do. You can stash an airtag or a tile (if you dont have apple phone) and you can track your bike at all times. 25 bucks, boom done. The disc locks that cable to your throttle are also a good way to keep your bike from getting stolen.....you just need to make yours harder to steal than someone elses is all.....since i own multiple bikes, it would cost way too much to slap one of these on each. Great video Ron!!
I’m going Apple tag shopping right now! 😝
@@RealRonTV I had a friend of mine show me this at Biketoberfest this year...I NEVER had any interest in them whatsoever...I mean I dont lose my keys, my dogs dont run off, so I had no real use....them my buddy got a text from his bike saying he had stepped away from it.....now I have one on EVERY one of my bikes and on a few of my keychains.... :D. They are 25 bucks and the battery lasts a year....what more could you ask for some cheap piece of mind...for my Roadglide I just pull up the app and it has a shark wherever my RG is on the map LOLZ
Hey Ron enjoying your videos this week buddy, keep them coming.
One thing I noticed is when you put the wire through that hole I did not see a rubber grommet. Brother didn't you learn anyting? you need a rubber before you put it through that hole LOL. It's going to chafe those wires and they will ground out, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but on one of your long trips.
Peace ✌🏽
Lmao where do you mean exactly? Do you mean at the back of the battery tray?
There's a hole on the right on top of where you put the module for the alarm you have various wires going through that hole. Unless I just can't see the rubber grommet. By the way they sell rubber grommets in all sizes so it should be fairly simple to find
At 5:13 you're putting wires through the hole.
@@bronxbrosmotorcycles I don’t think there is any risk there. The module is secure in place and it’s not a tight spot for the wires. But you never know.
Any problems with parasitic draw?
Not that I ever noticed.
👍🏾 Awesome 👍🏾
Why do you have to tap into the brake light
hey man, I installed mine about the same time as you. I seem to have a problem. the alarm drains my battery...do you have the same issue?
Not at all. Which wire did you tap into?
@@RealRonTV the licence plate light wire. Was I wrong ?
I tapped into the break wire but the license plate should work as well. As long as it’s not a hot wire that turns off when the switch is off.
@@RealRonTV I guess I'll Try the brake light next haha, thanks for replying and the help.
Buddy .. You maybe able to get a reduction on Insurance
WAIT. YOU HAVE ADS ON HERE NOW?? Lmao. Dayummmm
