Motorcycle security shouldn't be taken lightly. Rest easy knowing your bike is protected by Scorpio's Maverick Security System, which connects to your phone using Bluetooth/LoRa smartphone connectivity to send notifications in the event of shock, tilt, ignition, low fob battery, a battery disconnection, or optional perimeter movement. (Perimeter movement sensor sold separately.) Additional features include up to 2 miles of range for smartphone alerts, custom alert settings, hands-free arming / disarming , and a low-profile design.

Anyone know if this will work as a secondary security system? The 2021 BMW S1000XR has a factory alarm system already built in, but i'd like to have an option to get notifications on my phone. Alarm is great, but actually being able to respond is better, lol.
Sounds like an amazing alarm, and its not a little tricky but a lot of tricky, i dont agree with the alarm disarming, so if you hear it or it goes on and you're notified its going to be ringing all that time annoying the neighbors late at night if triggered at night without you being able to disarm it, thats not good especially if it was a ball or something or just a mistake of touching the bike somehow, you should be able to disarm it from distance away like a car alarm. Yea that's a glitch there that should be fixed.
What system would be good with a lithium... i just upgraded to 1.
Will the perimeter sensor trip with a bike cover over the bike?
Also for anyone that's curious. I used to have a scorpio system on my old 2000 Yamaha R1. Loved the system. Was a RF keyfob model with perimeter sensor. Thing would chirp at people who walked near my bike. When you're parking in a spot where no one should be walking by, it's nice. But if you have the perimeter sensor on when you say... go downtown to eat, not so much since it will go nuts at so much activity. Even had issues with it going off from loud stereo systems, lol.
Now that system was one I got in like 2005. I'm sure it's better by now and even if it wasn't, i'd still hapily pay for the scorpio system again. In fact i'm planning on putting one on both my bikes now , a s1000xr and an indian scout bobber.
Cant you put the range so low that it only bleeps if someone is like 15cm from it?
That should allow parking on the street curb without people going too close.
@@Baleur It might be that way now, but the system I had didn't matter what setting I had it on, it was just too sensitive. The settings were more for determining how annoyed the system would be before alarming more than actual sensitivty of detection.
Indian Scouts are girl bikes
Just purchased the SRX-900...... So far so good. Only thing that bugs me is that the remote displays military time only...... What's up with that??
Would this work with a custom
CVO ignition reflash on a FLTRX 2022?
Will this work on a 2005 Honda shadow Spirit 750??
Anyone is having problems going into programming defaults with the controller? I can’t get it to work!!
Will this work with the Honda Navi?
Does anybody knows if the issues with the app notifications are resolved? (the app needs to be open in order to receive them).
Also if I live on the 9th floor and my garage doesn't have either phone and gps connections, would this work?
Wondering about this as well. I might sleep through the alarm but my phone will wake me up.
Hey can u track ur bike with this
So, to receive a notification if someone is moving the bike, keyfob needs to be constantly connected with phone and phone needs to have Bluetooth on all the time?
Bluetooth draws so little power these days, shouldn't really be an issue. I am not sure whether it sends the signal out via bluetooth or celluar though.
@That Dude bluetooth would only need to really go from the system to the celluar module. From what I'm reading on scorpio' used celluar data.
@That Dude no clue. Just reading it on their FAQ page. It might just use the cellular antenna, but I too question it's implementation.
@That Dude I've ordered a cheap(er) 2-way alarm system to test for my specific situation, hopefully the RF will work. I wish i read your comment earlier :)
I've a bike in a secure underground carpark. I've got chains with anchors, disc locks, cover, alarm, and a tracker. Tracker is using cellular network, and if the bike is stood upright from the stand, I receive a phone call. However, I still want an extra level of protection with 2-way alarm.
This scorpio product looks a bit too bulky and too expensive for the service it offers, but that's just me :)
@That Dude It's OnBoard On-Alert 2 alarm. It's from xlmoto shop. Probably some re-brand of a re-branded Chinese product :D It can be linked with ignition for a remote start/stop, flashing lights and whatnot. However, I'm getting it only for the purpose of that key fob in case alarm goes off, so I can act on it. As I said, bike is in an underground carpark, so only a faint alarm sound can be heard if my windows are closed.
As for the tracker, I have Monimoto. I'm using it in Car Mode, with high sensitivity, so movement like moving the bike upright from stand triggers it.
I know it might be a bit of an overkill, but I was getting things one by one and experimenting to see what suits my needs best. After all, we all want to sleep peacefully knowing the bike is safe :)
take a walky talky with huge distance use the technology in it to alarm the person a good idea for companies. and if you think about it you yourself can hack a walky talkie to do this put one talky on the bike and the other with you
Bought about 2 months ago now and I can tell this is an absolute garbage.
The app is just ridiculously bugged, not sure how it is possible to release something like that in 2021. I enquired about an update as it's been stuck for 1.5 years and the only fix (doesn't look like it really fixed much tbh) that came out in August for android, was some sort of Bluetooth bug.
The 2 miles range was probably measured in an ultra flat desert as I can't get any notification from my garage (I live on the 9th floor, it's about 40mt distance + walls).
The setup through the remote is a pain in the ass, but at some point you'll get the hang of it.
If this is supposed to be the best alarm for motorcycles, I can't imagine how bad could be the others...
I'm glad that you post this, thankfully.
Isnt it a GREAT thing that you CANNOT change the settings on/off via the phone app?
Otherwise someone could just swipe your phone from the bar table while you're looking the other way, and disable the alarm. So i really wouldnt put that as a negative for the system.
I’d say that’s pretty situational. First they have to know you have the alarm and second your keys probably aren’t that far from your phone anyway
Not in a Aprilia RSV4 lol all I can fit is a credit card.
Personally? I think this one is overkill. My XENA Brake Disc Alarm not only prevents my bike from moving, (Ok, maybe 8 inches) but it has a motion sensor built into it also. All for $80 bucks. It's worked great for the 10+ years I've owned it.
Whats the name of the model bro ?
@@rashasekulic I have XENA's XZZ6L-Y
😎
so you spend all that money and you cant have a good battery you have to by a cheap one that you have to change every year. yea ill pass
Because you sell this, I do not trust this review. Just saying, maybe review something with the intention to help or educate riders not to sell them something.
By the feed back, you're absolutely right!
