Really? The genocidal mass murderer who cackled when he gained the ability to reanimate an army of the damned every day, killed his husband on their wedding night, has sacrificed an innocent woman to a daedric prince to obtain armour he doesn't even use, has slain the literal king of all vampires, and hasn't even started the civil war quest line yet, likely because he just enjoys the idea that hundreds are dying due to his procrastination, is happy in the cult of murderhobos? Why am I unsurprised?
mrcheesemunch Yes, let us add hypocrisy to his list of crimes. To be frank, I'm surprised he hasn't received the Gift of Namira yet, and added Cannibalism to his offences.
Paula Lang What I'm saying is: There's a difference between necromancy and resurrection, Benor was literally only standing near another woman and Jon got massively defensive, he uses other daedric artifacts without a care in the world, he only killed the undead tyrant so he could have the sun destroying powers instead of the vampire having them, and is the fantasy hero equivalent of someone who can't be bothered to go to the polling station.
Uncle Semore I'm moderately certain he didn't, mostly because if he did, I think he would've commented on it when meeting Cicero at the sanctuary(and I'm almost certain I'd have remembered his lack of/suprise).
Copper Hamster I'm pretty sure you're replying to me. If you're not, I apologize for assuming... What I meant was that I was 94% certain that Jon hadn't met Cicero before joining the DB because I'd likely have remembered Jon's suprise at meeting him again.
Jon: *misses with soul trap, hits corpse* Game: “you can’t steal the soul of this dead soulless corpse.” Jon: “This means soul trap is worse than bound sword and the comments were wrong.”
Sunlight gives -100% health, magicka, and stamina regen. Items that fortify your regen get past this. So if you are at 140% magicka regen the sunlight will knock your to 40% magicka regen. It isn't as good as staying out of the sun, but it works. You've always had magicka regen boosting items, lots of them, but you TOOK THEM ALL OFF! You can make stamina regen the same way.
Jon, you keep casting invisibility when wandering around areas entirely populated with Falmer. You know Falmer are blind, right? So long as you have Muffle up you could tap-dance in front of their face and they wouldn't notice you!
You can marry Muiri actually! (mainly because both people she wanted killed were dead). No one thinks you're looking for love unless you are wearing your amulet of Mara though. So yeah, pop that on if you want interested parties to have the dialogue options.
Ladeao they both look kind of similar, can both become owners of shops and make money, and you feel like you actually did something to warrant them liking you.
Ben Garcia You know, that regen dampening effect is quite a bit more than what you'd get from the Brainrot disease... -10 Perception, -100% Magickal Regen... Connection? Maybe...
“Blood on the Ice” is a fun side quest that I highly recommend doing, as it relies solely on your own deduction skills; there is even a chance you will convict the wrong person
@@workingstiff0586 This. The concept of the quest is fun, but the execution of it means you will likely need to look up the solution because a couple dozen of the triggers will fail to trigger or trigger in the wrong order causing the quest from being completed properly.
No Jon the comments were right about soul trap, you didn’t actually cast soul trap on the deathlord, you cast it on a draugr corpse, that’s why it said a draugr resisted and not a draugr deathlord
That's what I thought. But it doesn't matter Jon flipped up and the comments section was correct once again. On an unrelated note Jon might want to look at himself in third person when he has both muffle and invisibility active. Become the got Jon become the gost.
Jon feels guilty about killing an innocent woman. When hes an assassin. With a group who worship a dark lord. After saying that he loves the dark brotherhood. Splendid nice to know assassins have a conscience for a few seconds before they make the kill.

Go through an entire ancient tomb, battling countless undead to find an ancient phial. Get paid 505 septims. Handover a note about needing medical supplies. Get 750.
FYI: The muffle spell only muffles movement by 50% and any set armour pieces with muffle by 50% too so you'd need to use both for the full 100%. OR you can find someone who sells boots with the muffle enchantment that you can disenchant and that just gives you 100% straight up and it's not based on your enchanting skill either.
Hundreds of hours playing Skyrim and I had never noticed the correlation between the daggers on the map and the contracts. Actually, I never looked at the map after the first time passing through. Well done with the perception, Jon!
I'd love to make a list of all the perception hiccups in this video but lets just keep it at these two: you dont regenerate magica as a vampire without all of your fancy regen gear, and you just completely missed the soultrap spell
You could've married Muiri, but you must have the amulet of Mara equipped, as with every other potential spouse... also, I don't know if you can remarry after -you've- -been- -widowed- your spose left to live in a farm in Peru with no phones
Blood on the Ice was almost one of my favorite quests. I like mysteries like that, but honestly it felt like I was just kinda pointed along rather than actually figuring it out on my own. I actually found a bit of evidence that identified exactly who the killer was before I even started the quest proper (sadly I couldn't actually use that to confront him at any point and solve the quest in a unique way) so that it was a bit spoiled in that regard, but there was still one small connection early on that I felt was easy to pick up on. Not a bad quest overall, but I wish I had had to do more detective work on my own.
That warhammer, Aegisbane, if you wield it some characters or guards or whatever will occasionally comment on it being the recently stolen weapon-symbol of clan Shatter-Shield. Don't think there's a way to return it to them, maybe that was cut, but it's a nice touch that the guy who robbed them blind had their symbolic weapon on him.
Jon, for future notice with quest markers in cities with open cities mod. When you have the open cities mod you lose most quest markers for the ai inside the cities. You will have to look through the city to find the person you need to talk to. Hope this helps you Jon.
My personal favorite quest (SPOILER: the assassination of Vitoria Vicci) has so many ways to solve it. You can just shoot her with an arrow, sure. Or, if you know the timings, put a rune where you know she'll be giving a speech. Push a statue on her head. Run up to her amd bash her face in. A great quest
Jon, regarding your Magicka regen in daylight, you may no longer have high enough regen since you got rid of the mask and vampire armour but still have Atronach standing stone maybe either try your mask again or swap stones -- The Lord gives you Magic Resistance (instead of absorb) to reduce damage still, but does not reduce your magicka regen
Where is the Night Mother's coffin? Are you kidding me? Cicero is standing next to a big box that wasn't there before Cicero arrived. Do you think that may be *THAT* might be the coffin?
"Draugr resisted soul trap? Time for bound sword! Bound sword is better, take that comments!" - Jon, sounding Cocking Sure of Himself You can't stack two soul traps on top of each other Jon - they resist more than one. Always listen to the comments. We are 100% right, and 9000% attractive.
Ya know I always turn off floating quest markers because I find them intrusive and annoying but watching these I can see how little help a large white arrow you can always see and always points to the exact spot or thing you need can help. Entertaining. But every time I hear "this isnt the right way" or "well where the flip am I meant to be going" I cant help but think , probably toward the giant white arrow. Probably there.
Jon: "Why's my magicka not coming back?" Me: "You're a vampire." Jon: "Why isn't my magicka coming back!" Me: "You're a vampire?" Jon: "I swore my magicka came back in the day, doesn't it?" Me: "No, because you are a blood sucking demon of the night! AKA, VAMPIRE!" Jon's perception -10 while a vampire. :P
That necklace of remedy might give fortify health regen, which would allow slow natural health regen during the day, but then again, you have healing spells.
Ah that -1 perception and a god hit to Int as well. "Let's go kill this alain girl" Minutes after being told by the contract it was a guy "House is locked wonder why no one is here." Because people tend to lock their houses when they go out Joh. "Why don't you interview theses gawkers" Then proceeds to ignore the witness at the scene of the crime. Annd in that novice chest was a weapon with the soul trap enchantment.
My god Jon please take Cicero as your companion when you can. I feel the two of you could get along nicely, with the being crazy, and weird, and murderous..
While invisible you can prep Invisibility before performing an action like opening a door, picking a lock or opening a chest so that there is only a split second before you turn invisible again. This is the character I inevitably build every time I play Skyrim.
When Nurelion gave me 5 septims for the damaged phial, I was so annoyed, I Fus-Ro-Dah'd him into the wall. Some guards then immediately attacked me so I had to run away.
Couple of notes: There is a desynthable item that gives you the backstab bonus, which only applies to gloves. Vampires regain nothing naturally, but if you are wearing equipment that gives +regen you will gain health/mana/stamina back. The only real downside to not feeding is the increase in fire vulnerability. Since most fire is magical, wearing some magic resistance gear can compensate. One thing for the black star, the Unofficial Patch makes it where it can only take black souls, not white grand souls. There is a vendor in hogwarts over there that sells some interesting scrolls, including some heal undead that you can use on an undead minion. There is a battleaxe that can be disenchanted that has 'fiery soul trap' which sets people on fire AND lets you capture their soul. It's not as powerful as the raw 'fire' enchantment but you can get a lot of charges on such a weapon. Fiery soul trap and paralyze are my go-to combo on enchanted personal gear.
No Jon, we weren't wrong. You just have perception -1 and didn't notice that you tried to soul trap a draughr that didn't get up. Edit: Also, I distinctly remember there being a quest to repair the white phial. Go back to that place and look for it. I know you don't use potions much but you might when you have an infinite bottle of it. Especially if you limit how much you're allowed to use at a time (that is, if it doesn't have a build in timer like I vaguely remember).
Jon, did you know you can hotkey things to the left or right d-pad buttons? I had no idea that was a thing until I got the Special Addition, unless they added it then. Might be handy for Soul Trap. You just select something from favourites then hold down left or right and a 1. or a 2. will come up next to them.
Yeah this true but with Thieves Guild you can make Brynjolf Guild Master. Then for the DB you can kill Astrid in the shack, report it to a guard, then tell General Tullius (I think it was him) you killed her.
"Clockwork City is still very much functional in here" Clockwork City, Jon? Either you have been playing Elder Scrolls Online, or you just happened to confuse a city made by a Dunmer living (well, not by Skyrim's time) deity with a place built by the Dwemer Different groups of Elves
JON, you should consider getting the skyui mod. It will help with showing you when your magic skills are running out aswell as other useful quality of life things.
"You see kids, you want to pick things up that are valuable for their weight." *sees an ebony axe worth over 800 septims." "I don't need one of these."
If you're enjoying these quests, you should really think about getting Oblivion. Those Dark Brotherhood quests were *really* fun. There's even one I think you'll enjoy as much as a Hitman mission.
Glad to see Jon is settling in nicely and enjoying the dark brotherhood.....because nothing could possibly go wrong there....nononono, nothing in the slightest. I'm sure Astrid will be totally fine with the new listener and everything will be good and they'll all live happily ever after.....that IS how the stories of groups like the dark brotherhood typically go, right? They'll just happily go about their assassinations forever and nothing will ever go wrong.
i have seen someone play this and find Cicero before the dark brotherhood with a cart that broke that you can help get it fix and in the back is the mother in the coffin
Jon u should take the necromage perk in the restoration tree. It basically improves attacks against the undead. That isnt why it is so good though. The reason it is so good is because you are a vampire which is technically undead. I believe it gives you 25% improvements to enchantments as well as other stuff. The list is to long to fit in the comments. Just look up necromage perk on youtube and u should be able to find what else it does
Nothing regens if youre a vampire (vampirism give you -100% regen for all 3 stats), you need to enchant stuff with magika regen to counter it but you need a lot of it to make it noticable (basically take away 100% from your total magika regen on your gear to see how much you actually have as a bonus)
I think the bug happened because you’ve started, but not advanced, the murder mystery quest in Windhelm. The Shatter-Shields are part of that quest too.
Only before starting the dark brotherhood questline. In the special edition I think they made the quest easier to get. Uthgerd is out the front of Whiterun talking to someone about it. In the original you just had to stumble across it.
Jon, I want to keep this as spoiler free as possible, so here's all I will say Do NOT add the root Keep the root You can do very fun things with a certain Root and alchemy.
I'm pretty sure you don't HAVE The Black Star. Every time I have it empty, it is the preferred soul gem. Every soul. Annoying when I'm getting Lesser or Petty souls (I have a soul trap enchantment on everything.)
Though Jons reasoning was awful, I think bound sword is better. Let me explain. Soul trap is a slow, small projectile and bound sword is a big, fast swing right in front of you. However taking the perk is not worth it at all IMO as you could instead spend it on the mace tree in one handed for armor smashing.
Jon, you missed your soul trap and hit a drugar that was acting basically like a loot container.
Iirc, you can get a quest to repair the Phial after some in-game time passes
Also, concerning the whole "Nilsine-Shatter Shield" thing, something you Really tend to forget in this game.
People Sleep At Night!
Never liked how this game forces you in a linear path to become the leader of every faction you enter.
Yeah this true but with Thieves Guild you can make Brynjolf Guild Master. Then for the DB you can kill Astrid in the shack, report it to a guard, then tell General Tullius (I think it was him) you killed her.
Jon's quest to Aflipbuflip.
Anybody know/remember when Nilsine Shatter-Shield died in Jon's playthrough?
"Clockwork City is still very much functional in here"
Clockwork City, Jon?
Either you have been playing Elder Scrolls Online, or you just happened to confuse a city made by a Dunmer living (well, not by Skyrim's time) deity with a place built by the Dwemer
Different groups of Elves
I love how Jon basically predicts what will happen.
The Wise Man he is either 99% right with his predictions or 9999% wrong. Both are frustrating
its not really a prediction if its a bethesda game, the only way they can make the player feel important is by making them the king of everything
True.
He does realize the falmer are blind and he doesn't need to cast invisibility...right?
He does mention that, yes. He's just being extra cautious! ...by not topping up his muffle.
The logic is flipping sound.
"Draugr resisted soul trap" Jon - "You resisted Soul Trap (referring to Deathlord)" perception -1
JON, you should consider getting the skyui mod. It will help with showing you when your magic skills are running out aswell as other useful quality of life things.
He's playing the remastered version, hence no Skyrim Script Extender(SKSE), hence no SkyUI. Special Edition's SKSE is still a work in progress.
BioFake1 very true lol. Didn't even cross my mind.
He is also playing with a controller, and skyui is more for mouse users.
actuly although there both in alpha both skyui and skse are available for download for special edition i believe
You gonna do a oblivion play through at some point after skyrim or frost?
Catsaretheworst he might, but that's assuming his skyrim play through ever ends
I believe he said that he'd do Oblivion after Skyrim in the Skyrim YOLO stream
What about Morrowind?
Jon, are you going to start the Dragonborn DLC at some point in the near future?
Edison G. He just started this guild though, and he hasn't bothered to beat the main story line either. It is better to kill Alduin then miraak
Uncle Semore That's true, I was just curious as to when he would get to it.
he'll get to that at part 153
Something messed up the giant crossbows in the remastered
How did Jon know about Auflipbupblip?!
"You see kids, you want to pick things up that are valuable for their weight."
*sees an ebony axe worth over 800 septims."
"I don't need one of these."
Make Cicero your companion. People would LOVE that!
A sane person isn't going to oil and clean and speak to a corpse.
lmao, i could watch this series for years.
If you were looking for a dual weilder whos just as homicidal as you cisero is your man!!
I hear Flipleblip is lovely this time of year.
i have seen someone play this and find Cicero before the dark brotherhood with a cart that broke that you can help get it fix and in the back is the mother in the coffin
46:05 Benor: Do you miss me yet?
Jon u should take the necromage perk in the restoration tree. It basically improves attacks against the undead. That isnt why it is so good though. The reason it is so good is because you are a vampire which is technically undead. I believe it gives you 25% improvements to enchantments as well as other stuff. The list is to long to fit in the comments. Just look up necromage perk on youtube and u should be able to find what else it does
He vaguely knows about that, he mentioned it in another video
Y'know there's a perk in the speech tree that makes EVERY store a general store. I thought you had it but maybe not.
Nothing regens if youre a vampire (vampirism give you -100% regen for all 3 stats), you need to enchant stuff with magika regen to counter it but you need a lot of it to make it noticable (basically take away 100% from your total magika regen on your gear to see how much you actually have as a bonus)
Hey Jon, you havent spoken to the Darkelf in the Dark Brotherhood. She has a really nice backstory.
cavecenam Gabriella “What a curious question. Well, I enjoy moonlit nights, taking long walks on the beach, knitting and unicorns...”
Anyone else think that Skyrim’s Cicero is a reference to the Roman Cicero?
Yes, she was coming onto you, and yes, you can marry her. Amulet of Mara and all that required, though.
I think the bug happened because you’ve started, but not advanced, the murder mystery quest in Windhelm. The Shatter-Shields are part of that quest too.
Fun fact; you can sometimes find Cicero out in the world with the night mother in a broken cart
Only before starting the dark brotherhood questline. In the special edition I think they made the quest easier to get. Uthgerd is out the front of Whiterun talking to someone about it. In the original you just had to stumble across it.
Jon, I want to keep this as spoiler free as possible, so here's all I will say
Do NOT add the root
Keep the root
You can do very fun things with a certain Root and alchemy.
Well certain viewers will have a different view of Cicero.. one of pure, bright nakedness.
Kind of a spoiler but if giving the chance don't kill Cicero
loved that ep jon .. if u complete a full skyrim play through im pretty sure the world will implode ..
