Broken Vow. Nobody sing it better than Ms. Lara Fabian. Many singers sang this song worldwide but Ms. Lara Fabian's version, the original version is still the best.

I am one of the lucky ones that has got to be part of his live performance few years ago. I feel so lucky that she came to my small country in Europe, Finland and yet into a small city in Tampere. All in all, she was just as gorgeous and present as in this "from Lara with love" concert in 1999. She performed in a fairly simple concert hall without shoes, legs bare. Tears flowed from my eyes throughout the whole concert, she just manages to hit the soul so hard with her an incredible stage presence. Love her, just love her.
I'm so happy that so many Anglo-Saxons are interested in her and are finally listening to her. She deserves so much that her talent crosses borders and is recognized. Thank you very much for your curiosity :)

Ana Martins Of course not. The way Lara Fabian conveys emotion is even stronger than Celine Dion’s. I can hardly hold my tears every time I hear Lara sings.
@Ana Martins Lara is european born (Belgium) even if she is also a canadian citizen. Celine is canadian born (Québec) The difference in accent is at least equivalent to the difference between, US and GB accent for english
@Ana Martins The difference in celebrity level for Céline is actualy the work of her husband and agent, René Angelil. He "internationalised" Céline's carreer. Lara's carreer was mainly limited to the francophone and european market. Going world was a much later project
Lara fabian is the master of masters! Period. There is no other singer that can reach our soul and dig deep inside of it like Lara does!!! She is from another planet💜💙❤ just mesmerising. Her tone, her expressions, her attitude!!! Ufffff unbeatable🚀🔥
i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
This is my first time ever listening to the soloist, Lara Fabian, on her own. I heard her with Dimash and Aida, and already there I was totally impressed. At last, now I could give ear to only her. I appreciate good music, the rendering thereof and a performer's presence. All of that come as one unit in a performance. I like how you pick up on the important issues like how she places her vowels and consonants, and on some intimate moments referring to her body language. Her facial expressions reminds me of Barbara Streisand and even Dimash...telling the story. Her hand movements and especially the voice tones that subtly and very precisely changing when there's need. Lara's entire presentation of this song is absolutely stunning, a masterclass. Like the true artist, she grabbed my attention from the very beginning. So did you! You have done such a wonderful job with this beautiful and really engaging reaction. I love it. Kristy? Thank you so much. ❤
She is golden and flawless. And how fantastic it is that it seems so easy for her. A pure natural. Singer, a performer and an artist of her craft. There is no one comes close, no one. And you can feel this is what she was born to do. I'm over come with a desire to talk to her.🎤💐💐💐💐💐
Hi Coach! Lara is in her own league for sure. Thanks for getting back to her songs. I really enjoy watching your professional take on Lara's incredible talent both as a singer and a performer. Since you've mentioned Barbra Streisand I think you would immensely enjoy her 8 minutes long absolute masterclass covering "Yentl" from her "Pure" live concert. Her parents were in the audience that night celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. She'd put out a one woman Broadway show singing "Papa Can You Hear Me" and "Piece Of Sky". I have seen it many times and it blows me away every single time. Watching her singing the last line 'Papa watch me fly!' to her dad never fails to bring me to tears.
Lara is what every musician should aspire to be; a unique storyteller whose only mission is to convey emotion, come hell or high water. Her depth and authenticity is the polar opposite to the superficiality of modern day "artists".
Lara wrote this song in her 20s and it has been performed and recorded by so many artists worldwide including Josh Groban and Barbra Streisand. She's such an incredibly talented singer, songwriter and music producer.
I don't understand. How can a man not consider himself the luckiest man in the world to have such a wonderful woman in his life? How can you hurt such a beautiful soul? I can only be comforted of such massive stupidity by the knowledge that the pain Lara suffered enabled her to become the consumate composer, lyricist and artist she is today. As the old saying goes, "you have to pay your dues if you want to sing the blues". I just want to hold her and support her during songs like this and Je Suis Malade.
I think she must be on loan from heaven. For she truly sounds out of this world, and looks it as well. Her voice is like a mountain stream that is just starting to melt. You can hear the water starting to flow, pure and crisp. And keeping with pure hearts, I love the way you explain things. I like the way it's from your heart. Thanks. And your a beautiful lady as you probably hear every day. Anyway, thanks again.😇💐💐💐💐
The interruptions are forgiven because Lara is so fantastic that you must do it in a vague stretch of the song ... And it's not just her technique ... it's the incredible sweetness of her voice and her presence
I could listen to Lara for hours, and do. Even when Dimash got all those accolades for singing Adagio, I prefer Lara's version. Dimash is an amazing singer but Lara connects better, IMHO. She seems to give herself, or share, or something that makes her performance a personal thing between her and the audience. It's like she is more focused on giving to the audience rather than receiving applause and validation. That takes honesty, integrity, self-knowledge to a degree rarely achieved by any performer. I think that's why her song, Je Suis Malade, is one that I only rarely listen to. It's just too painful to see her suffering so much, even though I know, in my mind, that it's just a performance. When she performs there exists only the reality that she creates in those moments and I just can't go through that with her very often. Thank you for this wonderful analysis.
->ShanLib. I try hard to explain to myself how all the ingredients that make up Lara’s performances, have led to seeing her perform becoming, for me personally, an essential force in my daily life. I am particularly affected these days by her performance of Running at the VTE Arena in Moscow a few months ago.
Agree. I adore Dimashs' performance - but Lara's has a more subtle nuanced & expressive form of power & connection. You can tell that this came out of 'Lived Experience'. Sublime is the right word, and I know it's Master Class level Performance Art - but... that lip wobble near the end does me in every time!
She is an exquisite story-teller-through-song. Her ability to make a compelling narrative and color it with her masterful voice control and amazing quality, is indelible. I've 'discovered her' through 'reactions' on UA-cam, and have since been to her 50 tour (at the NYC premier, as it happened, which with its rawness and what had to be her masterful handling of jitters and a not-particularly-excitable crowd to boot, in a brand new performance ... was absolute proof of her professional cred and her realness). It was a great show and I was delighted to see her "live" and would again if the opportunity arises. Meanwhile, these UA-cam videos are a treasure! Lara is such a stellar performer and her charisma is delightful. As for that breath control and resonator-handling ... forget-about-it ... it is outta this world! This song is special to her. I think she wrote it for Gosh Groban, or at least he'd sang it first, which is also interesting from the POV of it being a song that's real and true for the devastation of betrayal no matter one's gender. I believe she'd said before (perhaps even in the intro to this performance) how it is one of those 'once in a lifetime' gift when everything aligns to create something special. With regards to her opening her mouth, I'd heard an interview with her where she, in some self-deprecation and her contagious humor, jokes about having a "grande garage" (i.e. her mouth being large) both in regards to her 'ability' eat and her love of food (and being raised on Italian food and culture) and how it helps support her voice. And, yes, "luminescent" is a good word to describe her in this song! So glad you made this reaction. I wonder how you'd love her La Traviatta rendition. :)
She wrote this song and Walter Afanasieff (who wrote for the biggest artists in the industry) composed a part of the melody. They were dating at that time and Lara revealed a few years ago she wrote this song about him. It wasn’t for Josh Groban, he only asked her to cover the song a few years later!
Another fantastic reaction! Thank you for appreciating, recognising and highlighting the wonderful artistry and emotive performances of this beautiful song and the legendary Lara!
I love Lara Fabian! I'm so happy that a vocal coach like you recognize her how the singer that she is. So good, so clear, so beautiful. I don't have words to describe all that this woman make me feel. Congratulations for your fantastic comments. I love that you love her! 😍 Please, keep it up! I'm from Spain. We have here a lot of formidable singers. I would like that you have a react to the singer Diana Navarro with her song Sola or El perdon. I think that you will like her. A formidable voice, full of strong and passion. Spanish had to be! 😉
Lara is, and will always be, my all-time favourite singer, and this unbelievably beautiful song of hers means everything to me. Thank you so much for reacting to this performance ❤️ I would really love to see you react to another song of hers from this same concert (From Lara with Love) - You’re Not from Here. Thank you so much again ❤️
her dad made her listen to Barbra S thats why u can here her in lara ... david foster got barbra to call lara she thought it was a joke lol lara is very humble
I just discovered your channel because of Lara Fabian and your reactions are so touching and interesting ! I'm so glad I found you ! I'd love to see you react to "Requiem pour un fou" sang in 1998 by her (Lara) and a real legend in France: Johnny Hallyday. In fact, Johnny (who's one of the most respected singers of all times in France) invited her to sing this song (one of his) in his concert in the france's stadium while she was only 28. They performed that song in front of 80 thousand people, and it's probably the most powerful duet i've ever seen in my life, really impressive by their strength and power. Lara said it's one of the most memorable moments she's ever had in her whole career! Anyway I'm a huge fan of Lara haha and I love your videos :)
Thank you Christi for a most lovely reaction at this song and Lara's sensibility. Your description of her voice and her way of performing feelings is so acute. She is overwhelming as a singer and as a soul.
This is my favourite English language Lara Fabian song. It's just perfect! I like Josh Groban singing it as well. That whole walk away, come charging back ... in the moment. Brilliant! Absolutely loved your reaction comments.
What a beautiful vocal. So precise in her delivery. Thank you for pausing when you do because I was about to cry. Don't apologize. She is so passionate. Hits me right in the feelings. She reminds me of Linda Eder, one of my favorites. Thank you for the reaction. Bill Boy
My queen and inspiration for life. Fun fact: Barbra said to her: "You are really, really good and I don't say that very often". She called Lara to ask for charts for this song because she wanted to cover it. Lara hang up on her because she thought someone was pranking her😄.
I remember her telling about that in an interview. HILARIOUS and her ability to tell it and laugh about it and show how mortifying it was and how gracious Barbra was and the whole story was just delightful. :)
@@carlodangelo1 I know, right!? Here's the piece of interview I was referring to. ua-cam.com/video/auc0X3AV8fw/v-deo.html And my understanding is that Barbra confirmed this happened. :D
I just love your reactions to Lara. It has been so wonderful to see the first moment when you discovered her with "Je Suis Malade", and see your journey to where she became one of your favorite artists! There is a gentleness about you that is endearing and that makes one so happy to see you happy. While other voice coaches just over analyze technique and what the artist is doing, you enrich your commentary with how those techniques translate into the enjoyment of the experience for the listener, and also how even beginners could apply those techniques. Keep up the wonderful work!
This is like a scene in a musical comedy. Like usual, she is in caracter. I love her presence, the musical arrangement, her beautiful dress adding to her beauty.
So happy to see you with Lara agin it’s always emotional to watching you react to her so BIG THANKS and waiting for the next time with her You’re not from here another master class and masterpiece that you have to watch❤️❤️❤️
That's such an experience watching Lara and then off course you 🌸 I must second the people's request to react to Lara Fabian's 'You're not from here " live from the same concert. Trust me coach, you gonna be in complete awe of this wonderful artist and off course the song. Waiting for you to react to it. Cheers :)
Maybe you are now ready for Lara communion with her public and fans. Improvisation and mutual love. I’m sure many Lara fans will be happy to see your reaction to her live performance of the song JE T’AIME in Paris 2001. What happens here is really really rare and every artists dream of that once in the life. Tears coming just remember it.
By the way. I like more the interruption you use in her Caruso singing. This way of post production editing and cutting to deal with copyright is great for keeping the essence of your reaction. The magic in your eyes and in your facial expressions when you discover the performance. Of course it’s still cut finally. But not when YOU listen to it.
Thank you for your excellent reaction video to this song. I am glad that you delve into her songs with more than a technical analysis because you know that she is so much more than that (I've seen your other reactions to Lara). She doesn't just sing the song... she doesn't just become the song... her gift to us is that she allows us to become the song with her for a few precious moments. Everything else falls away and we get to touch the ethereal. I've listened to many good singers in my 70 years and nobody else comes close.
I heard this wonderful song from the cover from Josh Groban. But firstly from maestra Lara I can feel the pain beneath every word. She sings and tells us a story. I just tear up listening to her. It shots so deep down to listen to her pouring out her soul....
So nice to hear that you get it, that Lara transcends the song and brings for me, a feeling of "tragedy" in most all her songs, especially this one. I found Lara in 1999 on her self titled record "Lara Fabian" and this song was on it. I have listened to this record over and over, never get tired........always brings deep feelings out......so she is doing her job splendidly..........Josh Groban also did this song, but no one sings it like Lara, no one......
OMG I RECOMENDED YOU THIS, THANKS FOR REACT. I ALSO LOVE HOW YOU CALLED HER PERFORMANCES AS A PIECE OF ART AND HOW SHE MOVED YOU WITH THIS TIPES OF SONGS. I FEEL CONNECTED WITH YOU ON HOW SHE MAKES ME FEEL. SHE IS AWESOME.
Lara sings with such feeling, emotion, actually tragedy......thats what she does......she can portray feeling better than any other singer I have seen......
First. Great reaction and analyze. Thank you for that 😍 Second. Lara is Lara with her own personality and way to express the emotion in a song. In that sentence she is for me just amazing. Some people compare her to Celine Dion and rank her by the best and so on. I don't really see the point with it because music is so personal and not a competition. I think it's degrading to say to anyone that you sound like someone else, like they are just copycats without their own personality. Of course you can hear and see similarities with other artists but to focus on that instead of just taking in what everyone has to offer is pointless Imo. You don't do that but I see that often and that's pity. Everyone has their own journey and no one suits everyone so to compare artists is just what it is. Meaningless. You did a great "job" to express your opinions about her performance and technique and I think it's spot on. She is a very emotional performer and she communicates the emotions in a way that not many are capable of. Thanks and have a great day ❤
Christi, I also want you to know there is no better reviewer out there. You're classy, intellectual, human ... and you eloquently state perfectly what I feel when I am moved and get those same chills with a song. Incidentally, you are very pleasing to the eye as well. I really enjoy your reviews.
I love your reaction. To hear a professional talk about another master is so interesting... I'm a woodwind player myself, and I definitely hear the perfect phrasing and intonation... wow.
Lara’s a gem. To each its own obviously. But THAT concert is the epitome of Lara in my book! Great songs, beautiful Lara in her paramount years AND a symphonic orchestra to top it all.
You're not the first person to comment not just on her physical beauty but on the way she is so present and connected to her physical self. I think that is very apparent here, too. And then the American Music Machine decided it could "improve" on it: "go blonder, be skinnier, wear this style, behave this way...". It messed her up. She's talked about her very natural relationship with food and eating and talking around the table with family and friends and it was suddenly disrupted. She's talked about developing an eating disorder, not taking proper care of her body as a unit resulting in some very serious injuries. Now, she wouldn't be who she is today without those experiences, but why do people with over inflated egos think the have the key to improving on nature? It's one thing to encourage an artist who has unhealthy habits to develop heathy habits with the aid and knowledge of a health expert (physical /mental/emotional) and another to take a healthy and well balanced individual and try to stuff them into their predetermined mould of their own creation. It's sad and sick and predatory
This song is about her love story with Walter Afanasieff- they co-wrote this song. She really is brokenhearted here. She didn't had an easy ride: on USA it was hard because she was in the same time with Celine and she wanted to make her music and to be herself, in France some were moking her-despite her success- that she is "to much" and that she is "shouting". Even so- she has a lots of fans everywhere and maybe because she didn't compromised with american musical industry she didn't had the success- that she clearly deserved - but she remained true to her artistry.
Hi Coach, love all your reactions but I love more your reaction to Lara and Diamsh both are my favorite artists. Keep up the good work coach. You're not from here is definitely hardest among the Lara's songs Her breathe control is amazing in this song by holding the notes in 20s . By with love
I had never heard of Lara until I ran into this song. She and her voice are beautiful. I keep playing it over and over. Jackie Evancho did this number on her "Imagine" special with David Foster. They changed the name to "Imaginer". Jackie sang it in French (probably because of the more mature lyrics (she was 11 years old). Both Jackie and Lara have voices like a Stradivarius. Love your voice and reactions. v/r Jim Hester

Questa un artista molto sensible con una bellissima voce e grazie mille per aver questo bellissimo video
Lara is Master Class. Captivating. Mesmerizing.
The breath support, control and the way in which she stayed present in the moment ❤❤. She's so much more that just a woman who sounds like Celine Dion

She wrote this song and Walter Afanasieff (who wrote for the biggest artists in the industry) composed a part of the melody. They were dating at that time and Lara revealed a few years ago she wrote this song about him. It wasn’t for Josh Groban, he only asked her to cover the song a few years later!
@@gabys4953 Thank you for clarifying! :)
I've read about mouth joke lol also she said her husband jokes that she is so emotional that rising of garage door makes her cry😄
Annie NYC ofc!
Feel like laughing yeeees! Lara is one sensitive lady hahaha and bc of that shes been making that garage door joke for years 😂
You can only love this artist and woman. ❤️ Thank you for your amazing reaction. You are good! 😃
This is when she flowered. She has emotion in her voice and expressions.
Very heart breaking, imagine what Lara has gone through to sing like this.
Another fantastic reaction! Thank you for appreciating, recognising and highlighting the wonderful artistry and emotive performances of this beautiful song and the legendary Lara!
Hi. Lara is amazing! wow...wow...wow. Thank you for these minutes......Love from Pt.

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤝🫶❤️🥰
She wrote this song. She writes more of her songs. The best!!
OMG you said Barbara and it clicked, you are so right!!
Authentic performer. She sings covers and her own writing also what a talented women.
This is my favourite English language Lara Fabian song. It's just perfect! I like Josh Groban singing it as well. That whole walk away, come charging back ... in the moment. Brilliant! Absolutely loved your reaction comments.
Lara is absolutely incredible. Her voice and passion for her talent moves me greatly.
@@AnnieNYC1 interesting to hear that, esp when it comes to Barbra because in interviews she repeatedly says she really doesnt listen to much music.
@@carlodangelo1 I know, right!? Here's the piece of interview I was referring to. ua-cam.com/video/auc0X3AV8fw/v-deo.html And my understanding is that Barbra confirmed this happened. :D
@@AnnieNYC1 thank you so much. But Barbra never covered it, I wonder why ?
@@carlodangelo1 True! I don't know why she hadn't but if it was ever shared, I'm sure there are some fans who's know! Take care and Happy Holidays!
Yesssss! This was my suggestion to you! Thanks for the reaction! 👍🏻👍🏻
That's what I call a reaction at the level of the performance.
And this is one of the songs she portrays such a tragic feeling......so touching.....and I'm a dude and love this stuff!!!!!!
This is like a scene in a musical comedy. Like usual, she is in caracter. I love her presence, the musical arrangement, her beautiful dress adding to her beauty.
Thank you for your reaction. You definitely noted everything that I have ever observed about that performance.
So happy to see you with Lara agin it’s always emotional to watching you react to her so BIG THANKS and waiting for the next time with her You’re not from here another master class and masterpiece that you have to watch❤️❤️❤️
That's such an experience watching Lara and then off course you 🌸
I must second the people's request to react to Lara Fabian's 'You're not from here " live from the same concert.
I second the recommendation from Mona for You're Not From Here, very few people bring that one up, but it is one of my favorite of hers.
Beautifully stated. I Absolutely agree with you. Lara Fabian is a gift. Thank you
I heard this wonderful song from the cover from Josh Groban.
Lara❤️❤️❤️ finally❤️❤️❤️ She more authentic than Babs. It’s like listening to my sister.
First. Great reaction and analyze. Thank you for that 😍
Second.
I'm a woodwind player myself, and I definitely hear the perfect phrasing and intonation... wow.
Now wasn't that like a cold glass of water on a hot day? Amazing!
She didn't have an affair with Afanasieff. She was dating Rick Allison, her long time boyfriend from the late 80s until 2004.
@@matiascontrera9125 Yes she had an affair with Afanasieff, she said it herself in the Dokumentary „Lara“.She also said it was a big mistake.

I'm so glad you finally did this one. I don't know people have been asking you to do it for about a year now.
ive been waiting for this oneeeee
Je t'aime live in Paris in 2000 is incredible.
Croud starts singing to her on t'aime "We love you" and she ends crying more than what she can sing
I love her. My favorite singer :)
Always loved that song 💜...thank You 💦👑
You are lovely, I admire you. The best in reactions is you 💖
I cant believe this is the first time you heard this masterpiece! How cool would it be if she reacted your reaction
My favorite singer of all time by far.
That song is as beautiful as she. Marvelous rendition, very moving.
She is the greatest. She makes me a believer.
Lara: the voice of an angel...
Dimash has exceptional taste in Mentors...so glad that Lara reached out to him after his Singer performance of Adagio...
