Loving your remark at 4:17 "I wanna sing like this when I grow up, that's all I can say, seriously." Yes, Christi, she truly is "incomparable," like you so well described her at the end of your reaction to her fantastic performance here. Thanks for yet another great reaction to Lara Fabian!

i often return to your first time reactions to Lara because i almost always pick up something you said that either i missed or didn't attach the relative importance of your reaction ..................... in this case it is the line you said " i want to sing like this when i grow up " --- maybe the greatest complement i have ever heard ! there is no jealousy, no grudgingly complimentary statement, just a simple and honest sentence that sums up your admiration. This, to me, is the ultimate summation of your love for this level of perfection, this level of talent, and this level of joy you exhibit concerning Lara. Your beauty, your inciteful comments, and your inner peace with who you are makes this single moment of admiration fully restorative of my positive thoughts about the capabilities for one to appreciate a performance as wonderful as this.

I've already watch many people all around the world trying to sing this song live, none of them did at least 50% of Lara is able to do. This song is incredible hard to be performed live. And Lara makes us think that it's easy, she even holds her breathing after that long belting and then smiled. O.o

Hi coach! I'm so happy to see you returning to Lara! I've been waiting for this reaction for months. If I may to be so bold, may I request another masterpiece from her? Her 8 minutes long masterclass singing 'Extrait de Yentl' in her live concert titled 'Concert Pure'. I never thought that anyone could do justice to Babs' 'Papa Can You Hear Me' and 'Piece of Sky' until I saw Lara's performance that night singing to her parents whom were sitting in the audience, celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. As she sang to her dad the words 'Papa watch me fly' I've cried like a baby and still do tear up every single time I watch the video. Please, please, react to this incredible performance soon. Thanks in advance!

EXCELLENT PRESENTATION by "The Voice Love Co." I've been a fan of Lara Fabian for about 25 years now. I'm from the US but found her music while traveling in Canada back in the 1990's. I absolutely adore her voice and enunciation of lyrics. The orchestration of course is fabulous. I have never understood the popularity of Beyonce, Katy Perry, Mariah, etc. They just seem to scream or rely on electronic sounds and beats. Lara is a true artist in my books and her music holds up. As for her breathing power, it is AMAZING! I really loved your analysis. Thank you! Looking forward to the next! :)

@Acting Music Sports RIGHT ON! I agree with you 100%. I like Jeanette MacDonald as well from the 1930s but she couldn't sing the ballads of today. Whitney had her one hit wonder but she wasn't that great. She just screamed like the rest of the lot. Music is so important for the mind and soul. I don't like it when people use it (music) for platforms and propaganda. Good for Lara and Celine!!! :)

You're so praiseful and you're so right Christi. I wish Lara had made it in America too, she's so underrated compared to some other great singers, I have no idea why it didn't happen as she's a diva too (along with Celine, Mariah, Whitney, Tina Arena etc), I guess she didn't me the right person (you may have an incredible voice, be very pretty, you also need much luck too), such a shame, as she would have deserved to be as famous/successful as these female superstars worldwide. Lara is a reference when it comes to singing, her voice is a gift and even at 50 years of age now, she still has one of the most beautiful voices on the planet. Thank you Christi for your reaction, I can't sing but if I was to learn at some point, you'd be the one (I would have loved to have an english teacher like you too lol ;D). Au revoir!

Celine Dion's people purposefully sabotaged her career in the U.S. They didn't want the competition.
Plus Sony music wanted her to be a dance singer, turn bleach blond and lose weight. That's not who Lara is. I think she's better than Celine and deserved to be a megastar in the U.S.

    Hello my dearest Christie :
Congrats on receiving 35,000 subscribers! Wow, I can remember when you had less than 5000.
Love to have watched you return to world class vocalist Lara Fabian. Her “ Lara With Love “ concert my favorite live concert by a female vocalist of all time. You still haven’t responded to her final song from that concert called “ Broken Vow” which she wrote and where she actually explains in the intro how the inspiration came to her. It’s a song about betrayal but also about forgiveness.
Another artist who you reacted to what seems a long time ago ( Diana Ankudinova) but who has vastly improved in the last 2 years-especially her high notes which she is able to sustain and now she has amazing high and low vocal range and remains the most recognizable world class female vocalist on planet earth. She recently turned 17 and a great recent song to react to with Igor at the piano is “tomorrow is a lie” ( you will immediately notice the improvement) or Diva. Dance which she performed on the singer talent show when she was 14 but her latest version will show you how vastly improved in just over 2
years! I know you being my favorite vocal coach will appreciate how hard work pays off!!
She has a vocal coach and trains every day.
Sending my love and blessings to you and your hubby and eagerly await your next reaction!
    Al

Thanks for your reactions. I love to listen you when you emphasize on her hi long notes, she is out of this world!!! Please, do not take me wrong but, I believe the main reason she's not so popular here is because USA bought Celine Dion, she is a different artists, she's not to worry about fame, her deal is artistry... not commercial music. That's why she didn't coupe with the American culture during her performances in US back on late 1990's early 2000's.
Check her new videos and/or concerts!!! She is Amazing...⚘ Thanks again.

I don't know why people feel the need to compare Celine and Lara! They're COMPLETLY different artist. They have their own unique vocal characteristics. I feel that it's a disservice to them both to compare them!!! You don't have to chose either or they are both EXCEPTIONAL!!! Singers & performers.
One thing that they both share is the innate ability to convey every emotion they feel no matter what language their singing in!

I'm just hooked, plain and simple. Always a lover of good music of all kinds. As far as singular voice performances go, I ditto your reaction "What do you say?" It is a shame that she was "ignored" in the US when she was in her prime. Thankfully due to the freedom of the internet, she is getting the appreciation she deserves. I also must mention what you do in recognizing and analyzing her talent. You critique her performances in such a way that nails exactly what's going on with Lara. I love it. I have to mention a comment you made of what a beautiful woman she was and totally in her own skin, well "it takes one to know one" is my compliment to you. So happy to see you come back to Lara!! I love your breakdown of her talent and the way you repeat parts of the video. This isn't even good audio quality and she still sounds incredible. I also appreciate your mention of her melodies, it's one of the things about her music that I love so much. She writes the most complex, intriguing melodies without ever showing off. Every note has a purpose. I'm not a fan of the crazy runs just for the sake of acrobatics, in fact they annoy me. But Lara's melodies wrap around my heart and soul like a warm blanket. There are lots of other great song suggestions for what to do next, I echo the request for Tango. As a voice coach you have to see what she does from a seated position! Besides being a fantastic song and performance, from a technical standpoint it's mind blowing.

All my life my folks have always said that Barbara Streisand is their favorite. 2yrs ago, I sent this video to them. They both instantly agreed that finally, they found a new favorite. She's done an English album for America but we were accepting what the record labels were cramming down our throats. Her song, I Will Love Again, made it big here but everyone thought it was Celine. I tried to get people to realize there's more to music than pop or rock. She writes her own music. she composes and helps orchestrate it. She sings in 12 languages. There's a compilation video for proof and she speaks 7 languages, 4 fluently.

      @vervideosgiros1156 2 роки тому +1

She doesn't speak 7 languages; she speaks 4 languages fluently: French and Italian (as mother languages), English and Spanish. She speaks Portuguese and Dutch, but not fluently. She sang already in 12 languages: French, Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Greek, Turkish, Hebrew, Russian, Azerbeijani, Latin.

@@estellewinters8502 I didn't understand your emoji... I'm not badmouthing Lara, I love her! I just said that she isn't fluent in that amount of languages! I don't know why so many people consider that speaking foreign languages is strange or that people who speak foreign languages are genious... it's perfectly normal for europeans to speak 2, 3 or even 4 foreign languages! Added to her own 2 languages, she's fluent in 2 and pretty good in 2 more and that's great, but saying that a person is fluent in a language because they know 10 words, doesn't make sense!

PLEASE either react to or simply listen in your personal time to the STUNNING, beautiful album that is ‘Le Secret’. This is one of her best albums and apart from 1 song, all in her ( well, one of )native french language. It is stunning. Some songs have videos but to listen to this album in one go it is an amazing experience

She never sings without completely living it. You said exactly what I couldnt find words for: she seems to have "so much room in her mix voice register" it is endless and it's not fair, is it?!!
(at the end visualise yellow solar plexus breathing, and imagine you only get to ring the bell tree at the end yourself if you hold the note long enough!)

@Ana Martins "it's not fair" is an affectionate turn of phrase, not meant literally.

Hi Christi. Jessie J was on the same show as Dimash in 2018. Her performances were beautiful. Despite her heart condition. If you like Floor you might like Anneke van Giersbergen. The band called the Gathering with Anneke is what got Floor into metal. The song was Strange Machines and Anneke does acoustic tours. Jessie J sings My Heart will go on and Purple Rain . You won't be disappointed.

I have been listening to her for more than 20 years.
A lot of my friends find her boring and get tired when they hear her song. I on the other hand get this power rush through my body and mind. I don't think that People understands what a powerhouse she is.
She has the classical, conservative grace about her. No dancing and not a big light show. Just Simple, clean performance.
I have it the same way with Jewel.

Very cool deconstruction. Maybe you could react and do this to Perdere L'amore. It would be interesting to hear your comments on what happens to her technique applied to a very different language.

I am somewhat shocked. On everyone's lips, the name Dimash, pops up like crazy, and yet, after a more than 30 years singing career of Lara's, people still don't know who she is. Many found out through Dimash. Crazy...
