Maybe the compatibility is better with the flip because it has newer firmware on it. Have you updated to your 3+ lately. Could be the issue. The new update gives a huge performance boost to the 3+ so maybe it also makes more apps compatible too? Worth a shot.
I do like how on the flip the screen is above the controls, Although I don't like hinges on handhelds, Both have Mini HDMI so I like that, I like how the 3+ has clickable joysticks, but I like how the flip has analogue triggers.
I like the layout of the yellow one better. I would play mostly on the couch or in bed and then it's better to rest the elbows on the ground and hold it from the sides. I wish they had put more thought into the ergonomics of the black one rather then overengineering the packaging. Maybe by moving the pivot of the hinge a bit inward so the screen doesn't swing over the back. Are the triggers on the back also sideactivated? Maybe thats why they go around the corner.

Selling your Switch for an emulation device isn't very smart. Convince her to buy one of the other, cheaper devices if it's really a library issue. There are plenty of other starter devices you can buy for less than $100, that will play everything up to PS1.
Most ps2, gamecube games were in 4:3 ratio so a gameboy advanced SP flip design would be perfect and the ultimate emulator machine. Put an oled in one and itll sell like crazy.
Decent comparison, your opinion on tbe co!our is just that and reaching the thumbsticks at the back I am not convinced there is an issue, more like the way you were holding it.
