Did my first sub through GameStop super easy just have each card in a penny sleeve and card saver. Each person's sub is barcoded on the back of every card saver, they take a pic, and seal each sub in a separate bag with I think another barcode. Pro members get free shipping and if you do 1 sub a month u can get 5 off ur sub.
I’m not sure what you mean to get them paid. However I do agree with the shipping. It was 42 dollars return shipping. And paid about 25 I believe to insure shipping it to them myself. So the free shipping is pretty big if you submit often
@@ChrissyWhispers888 like trade in game, cards, phone anything game stop will take to help pay for it and they will hold them for you like pre order in a way if you get up charge and can’t pay rite a way! Also some people live in bad places and at least game stop can keep them a lil more safe

I don’t know the specifics because I haven’t sent it in myself through GameStop. But I’d imagine they wouldn’t send a card that expensive in or they would have up charge you. I think it might even specify on the site.
I’m confused. You mentioned you missed going to fedex or whatever. Doesn’t on the GameStop app specifically it says they’ll get shipped back to the store and you pick it up there? Plus it just rolled out over 2 weeks ago… how’d you get them back so fast?
Maybe drop off one card to check out the process? By the way, if you are a pro member, shipping is free. The gamestop employee has you prepare your own card and then takes photos of them. Then they are stored behind lock and key until sent out. No form is filled out by you If you try it let us know how it went for you Congrats on the 9s and 10s
@ChrissyWhispers888 it is a net positive for the grading card community. Casual/first time graders don't need to pay $25 a card or drop $150 for a membership just to get a good price. Oh and shipping is free with pro membership and you don't have to pay extra to make sure the package is insured or whatever
@@NegativeBananya I think this is fabulous for the community/first time graders for sure. I have a friend who refused to grade but now he’s interested haha

Yeah that seems to be the process. I plan to drop some cards off just to see myself. However as time passes I feel it does make sense to have the membership. You get to ship when you’re ready. Not when GameStop has built up enough to send a submission, or however they decide their submission schedule. Plus, one less transition from hand to hand plus the potential money to be made from just simply selling the magazines when you get them.
I’m not even kidding, let me know how it goes. I don’t have any yugioh myself. But a good friend of mine collects. And sometimes I wish pokemon was as dark as yugioh because the cards are really just gorgeous

I saw in the comments of another video that PSA broke out a separate grading team for GameStop which is kinda fucked. Since it is in fact cheaper and you don’t have to worry about PSA annual subscription fee and ultimately PSA ends up making less, I would really hope they don’t place a more aggressive but unspoken grading methodology by management. I’d be pissed if I sent a card that in a 10 should be $600 above raw and PSA 9 would be equal to raw price, and then I get a “GameStop” grader and my card comes in less. So I may not really be saving money
@SirSeal007-1 I haven't received my cards yet, but I checked the status of it, and it says my cards are done being graded. There's an option to see your results there too.. I'm very tempted 😆
I might send my first sub this weekend. I’m a bit nervous, but maybe just need to do it and get over it. For the most part I just want them graded and encapsulated, and I have $300 in gift cards to help pay for the sub.
$25 a year for $5 a month and free shipping on graded cards, too. And it seems pretty quality based on everything I've seen. Will edit when i get my cards back if it's shit lol
People are saying that GameStop submissions are bad in general which I don’t understand why people think they wouldn’t purposefully give 9s unless they can up charge the card. I’d imagine GameStop wouldn’t do that considering people would catch on and it’s simply bad for business. I think it’ll be fine. And I think your grades will be appropriate for the grade… assuming the grader lol. But that’s another conversation. I don’t think submitting through GameStop is going to affect the grades in any way
@ChrissyWhispers888 i agree fully! I meant more so the experience along with it - not getting them in reasonable time, gamestop holding onto them, etc. But other than that, I'll be happy to get the first slabs I've ever graded myself! I'm excited about GameStop grading, i already pay for the Pro, and it really took me from wondering if I wanted to grade right to my local GS
I got my cards back from GameStop. They didn’t come in a box like that. They just handed me a stack of slabs. The whole system is a joke. The grading system is a joke. PSA is a joke if you go through GameStop the only way you’ll get a 10 if the cards worth a lot of money that way they can up charge you if it’s a card they can’t charge you on. You’re gonna get a nine or lower.
That’s just not true, we don’t live in a perfect world, never will. But there it’s not always negative or a “joke”, you sound a bit salty, hopefully your submissions work out better in the future.
I sent 5 cards to Gamestop for grading at PSA. Note that PSA won't email you about your cards, I did not get an email from PSA regarding my cards. So if an employee of Gamestop has the same card as yours, they can switch it up and change their grade 9 cards to yours if you have a 10.
This was exactly my thought. Why would a GameStop employee give a fuck about my grading lol they probably throw the boxes around and I don't even blame them.
