      @@MusicCityGames i have deleted my crazy comments and am interested in a productive conversation I know from sending over 1000 cards to PSA it’s a simple process but it can be messed up easily GameStop employees aren’t experts and frankly don’t care about anyone’s cards they will not handle the cards with care and the smallest thing is the difference in a 10/9/8 I think this is the worst possible
      Idea possible you put yourself at risk in 1800 different ways but if you simply take 5 minutes to send the cards yourself you know exactly how things were done and can rest easy knowing the cards will get to PSA safely

      @@MusicCityGames and I don’t mean to be rude but if packaging it up and logging it on the website feels like to much to do then you probably shouldn’t be sending cards to PSA in the first place I’ve also had several people tell me they go on website to check PSA card values GameStop will give em a decent price online and then when they go in store it’s a lot less I think GameStop is as usual trying to take advantage of customers and the current state of the hobby i don’t have anything against GameStop I just know how corporations are and it feels like your only looking at the hypothetical positives of this when in reality the negatives are abundant and only gonna get worse I bet this doesn’t even last a year because remember GameStop doesn’t care about the customer the cards or the grades they care about generating more money

      It is pretty interesting and makes a lot of sense for them. Gaming has heavily shifted to almost a strict online experience. People have less and less reason to come into a store to buy their games. Shifting into TCG and other hobby industries makes sense for them to cast a wider net.

    Amazing deal and I honestly think GameStop is focusing a lot of a transformation. A lot going on behind the scenes under the new management. We have just three GameStop stores, here in Tallahassee and currently, the only store submitting to PSA is our Governor's Square Mall location, who admitting stated that they have only submitted around three times total. But the manager there is a sports cards and Pokemon collector and literally knows more about GameStop's PSA submission process than anyone I, including online. It helps to have a couple of collectors working at GameStop, who have used their very own process for their personal collection. Again, both the manager and a couple employees have submitted cards to PSA via GameStop, so they are telling me what they've done through experience, compared to some employee, who was forced to stay awake through an employee training session.

    Thank you so much for making this video. Have never created cards before but definitely interested in only question is if I grade them through GameStop will I be able to know the grade before they're even shipped back from PSA??? My only worry about doing it through GameStop are any card shop is it wouldn't be that hard for them to switch your card for another one with a lesser grade. That's my only worry about not doing it myself. So just wondering if you can know the grade before like I said before they even send it back from PSA to GameStop?? So that worries me a little . My local card shop sadly does not mess with graded cards whatsoever.

      Of course, Sky! So glad you enjoyed it! • @MusicCityGames
      @MusicCityGames  Місяць тому +1

      @@forgeline5212 Yeah, a couple things. Gamestop employees have little to no access to the actual order beyond doing the initial submission. • @sourcingsailor4987

    The reason I don't submit with local card shops, as much as I would like is because of their business practices. If you charge a flat rate of $25.00 per card okay, but if you are firm on that $25.00 submission price and I have 30 Topps Chrome cards and PSA is running a $14.99 Topps Chrome Submission Special of which they had a few weeks back, then adjust your pricing structure if you know people are submitting cards that satisfy PSA Special promotions, especially if you have 50 to 70 people repeatedly submitting with you.
    I wouldn't care with GameStop because it's only $1.00 more than the club membership rate per card of $15.99. So, I will give GameStop a try, using raw cards valued between $30 to 450, so if something goes awry, my investment isn't that bad, compared to sending in cards valued much, much higher raw.

    • @MusicCityGames
      @MusicCityGames  Місяць тому

      The Gamestop employees have minimal exposure to the cards and the process as a whole. They do not handle your cards outside of taking a picture of them, applying the sticker to the back of each one, and sealing them into a bag for their lock box. That's it.
      It is a valid concern though. It will be hard for anyone to tamper with the package, and Gamestop corporate tracks the package every step of the way, so they can identify if and when the package was tampered with in that rare case.
