The whole album is about the best thing Bruce has ever made. Including his Iron Maiden stuff.
It's excellent.
This whole album is great. Almost all songs are worth reacting to, I'd argue! Accident of Birth is another one you guys might consider, some great material on it too.
Bruce Dickinson - Darkside of Aquarius
Masterpiece. Like the whole album, I too, recommend, to listen it as a whole. Chemical Wedding is just so good. If you care, try to watch live performance of this Jerusalem song, from Canterbury Cathedral, 2011, with Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull. It´s quite acoustic version and as you appreciate live performances, this is a very special version where Bruce really shines and showcases what he can do with his voice.
I like your name 😁
The best album of all time
Your not the sort i would argue with 😰
I love Bruce's solo stuff just as much as Iron Maiden.
Praise doesn't come much higher than that!
The title track of his album "A Tyranny of Souls" is an absolute must, as well as his track "Tears of The Dragon".
Glad you're enjoying the AP reading :)
The song is inspired by the poem from William Blake with the same name. As a matter of fact the whole album is from the poem of William Blake. A true masterpiece from the '90.
If there was ever a 10/10 song, I think this is it. I love everything about it. The singing. The lyrics. The scenery the song conjures up in my mind. The mood and feel of the song. The emotion. Totally and utterly amazing!
Chemical Wedding & Accident of Birth are two amazing albums.....
All of Bruce solo albums are great, and he got a lot of awesome songs.
"Tears of the Dragon"
"Man of Sorrows"
"Accident of Birth"
"Born in '58"
"Chemical Wedding"
"Shoot All the Clowns"
"Abduction"
"Darkness Be My Friend"
"Tattooed Millionaire"
"Laughing in the Hiding Bush"
"The Tower"
"Broken"
"Killing Floor"
"Back from the Edge"
"Darkside of Aquarius"
"
etc etc etc
Fire Child as well. And Silver Wings.
lol, wait till they hear Trumpets of Jericho( Sick Riffing, Impossible Vocals), Machine Men( the guitar solos rule!!!), The Tower....., Chemical Wedding......, The Chemical Wedding is One of Metal's Most Underrated Albums...., A Total Masterpiece..., Vocals are some of the Best Ever...., Intoxicating Music......
It's funny, CW wasn't always underrated. Back in 1998 it got rave reviews throughout, even from the UK rock press in midst of a nu-metal outbreak. And that's saying something.
Go to watch bruce sing this song in canterbury cathedral with ian anderson from jethro trull. Chills!
This song was adapted from the hymn 'Jerusalem' which is sung in churches in England, the hymn itself was adapted from a William Blake poem.
Bruce Dickinson has the best voice in metal! And i love Ronnie James Dio.
back in the day, the choice between solo-bruce and blaze-maiden was pretty clear to me.
Iron Maiden - Infinite Dreams
One day bro
This song is based on a poem by William Blake from about 1804. Emerson Lake and Palmer made a version in 1973, Eric Idle did a version in an episode of Monty Pythons Flying Circus. And every year it's performed as a psalm by a choir at The Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
Iron Maiden- 22 Acacia Avenue.
🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
I'm the 22nd like.
The original jerusalem song (bruces version is kinda an improv cover of a poem turned song but he added lyrics and made it heavier)
Is actually considered the unofficial English national anthem by many people
Iron Maiden : Caught Somewhere in Time
My favorite Maiden album.
Bruce Dickinson omega
Bruce Dickinson - Arc of space
Really gotta do this whole album... each song builds on the next. Soooo goood
Thanks for the reaction. I love Bruce's solo work. He has an album you should checkout called Skunkworks which is a complete 180 from metal. It is fun hearing his voice in a different genre. Some might call it metal, definitely the tamest of his solo records.
Bruces voice at his very best.
Bruce Dickinson - Eternal
Awesome song, really enjoyed the breakdown.
bruce dickinson - man of sorrows
Nevermore - Sorrowed Man
Such a breath of fresh air watching your reactions, so well read, and intelligent.
Bruce Dickinson - Arc of Space
Dio - All The Fools Sailed Away (album version)
Black Sabbath - Nightwing
Elf - Carolina County Ball
Please
Darkside of aquarius must be the next \m/
love you both! :D
Finally, you got to this! Masterpiece.
Ist great albums of bruce maybe the best
The Tower!!!
Compare this song to the hymn called Jerusalem, William Blake's poem set to music. Every school child in England knows the lyrics. This isn't strictly a religious theme, it's also long been considered a metaphor of building a new, better, more just, England as opposed to the brutal 19th century capitalism. Of course Dickinson picks up on the religious underpinnings in Blake's work.
Love this music.
Amazing song! The entire album is a hidden gem!
Not sure if you realise, but Jerusalem began as a poem by Blake that was later set to music as a hymn and became second only to God Save The King/Queen in England (not Britain or the UK, but England) in the sense that it is for all purposes a second national anthem here (and I think it should be the national anthem). Given its inherent symbolism and inspiring nature to the English I doubt Bruce is using it in any ironic way like you suggested doubting that the metaphors (it's all a metaphor) of the notion existed here, although I may be wrong of course, it seems more to me like it is a song about returning to the path that we have strayed from and once again metaphorically building Jerusalem here. That the things Jerusalem represent were indeed built here during and after the industrial revolution ("among those dark satanic mills" - that's in the original lyrics) but have since been lost "in this trivial time, in this land of fear", "Jerusalem bound in chains" etc. Yet the nation can regain her manifest destiny ("let me see again", "the king will rise again", ) by utilizing the same spirit and resolve she had ( "Bring me my bow... bring me my arrows.... I shall not sleep till the clouds unfold"). Really enjoy your videos btw I have binge watched so many over the last few weeks. Much love from England. (Sori's musical hiccup in the intro was perfectly timed - Vin's cool but Sori's my favourite) Original here if you or anyone else is unfamiliar (can't imagine anyone is though) and wants to compare: ua-cam.com/video/MKRHWT6xdEU/v-deo.html
I think Chemical Wedding and Tyranny of Souls are where the dude really came into his own... They're like poetry...
Skunkworks was halfway there, but not quite...
So glad u 2 got to hear that... Hope you hear live version on his BEST OF BRUCE DICKENSON Album... Even better... Much MUCH Better...
Que gran cancion. Que magnífico disco. De la primera a la última canción. Por arriba de muchos discos de Iron Maiden post 2005.
Cheers from Argentina
Used to sing this every morning assembly at primary school .
he does this with ian anderson of jethro tull on flute at canterbury cathedral/ they also do revelations. this is a william blake poem
Give a piece of chance to AYREON - Into the Black Hole (ft. Bruce Dickinson)
Agree it's a must listen, his vocals are out of this world......even a black hole couldn't consume the power of his voice.
Manson's new album! 😍 😍 😍 hoping you get to it soon lol kept an eye out for your reaction since it dropped lol.
Based on William Blake’s poem Jerusalem
Tears of the dragon
Mandrake project
Bruce Dickinson
Tears of the dragon, please!
Love his version live with tribuzi. Jf you havent heard it its worth listen.
Jerusalem was one of the Hyms we chose for our wedding.
When the Beatles first arrived in New York City one of them said we are in Babylon.
Also listen to the album by Bruce ACCIDENT OF BIRTH. TOP ALBUM OF ALL TIME
You got to do gates of urizen.
I would rather do the gates of Uranus!
This is based on a traditional Church of England hym by the same name.
End narration by Arthur Brown - he of "I am the God of Hellfire and I bring you ...... FIRE" fame.
Jerusalem. England's unofficial National Anthem.
Bruce Dickinson - tears of the dragon
Iron maiden - caught somewhere in time
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease
Second this
For the record, 'Chemical Wedding' means we're all molding in the same hole at the end of the day.
Great analysis from Vin here
Bruce Dickinson August 7,1958
Vin, he is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's time to take to the streets.
Iron Maiden - For The greater good of god 🔥🔥
React to Iron Maiden - Infinite Dreams
And no, chemical wedding is about magic, particularly the magic of Aleister Crowley. You should definitely check this song.
She thinks chemical wedding means drugs. Its Rosicrucianism, an alchemical term. They should do a cursory search of terms before they start judging things or they just sould like the lady that thinks Monster energy drinks are the devil.
Would love to see your reaction to Liliac we are the children
I always thought this song was more about trying to make England better, rather than saying that it was already brilliant. Ancient Jerusalem was seen as pure and England wanted to be like that. There is also the idea that this was written ironically. But Bruce is a church goer so I think he covered the song out of love.
Sepultura - Inner Self
I have always loved iron maiden. Vin, I know you are a big fade to black fan. Look up Metallica fade to Black live at nimes 2009. I'm telling you, it is equivalent to pink floyd comfortably numb pulse live. Best live fade to Black hands down.
The whole lyric of this song is a poem by Willian Blake
Sad when people dont know about the chemical weeding of Christian Rosencreutz
Dude I just wrote this and scrolled down to see your comment. You get an upvote from me. Sad that they're bridging a gap between metalheads and hardcore Christianity but they don't explore outside of the box.
O.N.A - Kiedy powiem sobie dość
Moonspell - Full Moon Madness

Very true
Crusades🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Iron maiden infinite dreams
reign of darkness
Kreator - Enemy of god
Death zombie ritual
You need to fix the quality if you want your channel to grow. 480p is barely watchable these days, 1080p minimum. Content is fine, but quality kills it for me.
Don't think about drugs when talking about Bruce Dickinson. He wouldn't approve.
yeah, the chemical wedding to me it's the two bodies "laying in the same grave" decomposing and merging together...
Always loved this song. Bruce's Solo Albums (Accident of Birth and Chemical Wedding) are better than any Iron Maiden album since the reunion in my opinion.
Better then the final frontier for sure...that's it
I agree with Lord. Not my favourite album. And for some reason,i hate the 1st song...just the drums, eeeewwww!
I think those 2 albums are better than all Maiden albums period. The Chemical Wedding got me into Maiden and i love all Maiden including the Blaze Bayley albums.
Been a lurker for a while, keep up the solid work, it's really awesome! - how about discovering some "White Lion", take a look at "When The Children Cry" -> the official video is hard to find, but try this one -> ua-cam.com/video/peoAFmzAHdo/v-deo.html
React to Angra - Carolina IV
You like conspiracies Sori?
Then you are going to love this guy!

Mind you, this is NO -- theory!
First
Metallica Eye of the Beholder
thy are is murder eign of darkness
react to TALLAH!! ;)
Great song...but perfected murder? Um, ok.
I love Bruce Dickinson, but who keeps picking stuff off chemical wedding? I'm sure most people would rather see your reaction to: tears of the Dragon, son of a gun. Or abduction
This comment seems strange to me, as CW has been widely regarded as the best Bruce album since, oh, about 1998. I'm an Accident of Birth man myself, though.
Its the best album out of all Maiden and his solo albums. I love everything from his solo career. Tears of The Dragon, Son of a Gun, and Abduction are great songs. But so is Ballad of Mutt, Darkside of Aquarius, Zulu Lulu, Broken, Silver Wings, Kill Devil Hill, Navigate The Seas Of The Sun, The Tower, Solar Confinement, Americans are Behind, Gates Of Urizen, Hell No, etc etc etc etc.
@@deadliestassassin3092 I agree! I'd also like to mention Fire, Innerspace, Arc of Space, The Alchemist, Darkness Be My Friend, No Way Out... Continued and every other track.
@@fillerbunny I largely disagree with that comment. I would argue that most people prefer accident of birth as his best solo achievement. Personally chemical is my least favorite solo album good lyrics but the music itself just goes nowhere for me .
@@andrewsmokler7173 yeah Accident of Birth was probably the biggest at the time due to Bruce returning to more heavy metal and Adrian Smith reuniting with Bruce. But over the years more people have started listening to Chemical Wedding more. In the end though its really silly to argue about it because its all a matter of our own tastes. Thats what makes all his albums special. They all sound different. For me he's never put out anything bad.
Try Jerusalem by Alpha Blondy....... far better! ;-))
He has much better songs than this.
All the lyrics from this album is sucked from all of the words/poems and thoughts of William Blake and just a bit of Bruce's contribution when it comes to the lyrics. The conception of the songs has got to do to with the occult stuffs and all that typical bla bla bla... that we find in many heavy rock songs. Musically, artistically speaking I do love Bruce's music, I do like this album, but the messages that he delivered through this album I just don't take them.
May Lord Jesus Christ blesses you all!
Bruce Dickinson - The Alchemist
