You need a small diesel heater, the same as they use for van builds, tap into your diesel tank and you have plenty of heating capability that doesn't rely on battery.
that's smart, we have some of those yellow jets at the shop that usually last all day and some on one tank. obviously he shouldn't use that kind of shop heater unless he wants to cook himself alive lol.
I've been watching you for years so when I hear the phrase "I did not prepare well" I just kind of laughed to myself because that's your MO. Much love ❤
My buddy brought electric heated socks camping, and they drained an entire portable battery every night. I don't know how hot his socks got, but I was suprised at how much power they used.
We use heated blankets plugged into our battery, they only use around 100 watts. Lay them on your mattress and sleep on top of them, makes a huge difference. Saves you from running The heater all night
I live in the Bellevue/Seattle area and it's pretty insane the amount of fallen trees and power outages the day after the storm. Like 80% of the Puget sound around had no power and I physically couldn't make it to work since all the roads surrounding me had massive trees blocking the roads. Stay safe!
Just wanted to let you know Chris, Bought that 6000W Anker Solix and it's little brother along with two of the portable solar panels last time you had them for a sponsor. Also bought their 347 Power Bank (40W) for phones etc. Great products. Really happy with them!
Being a Florida native, I could not handle being without 12 hours of light during the day. Even in the winter we have almost a full 12 hours. Even when I go to Los Angeles I can tell the difference in the amount daylight in a day. Had a Puerto Rican buddy from here move to Portland, asked him how he delt with it. He said he didn't like it but he moved to be with his girlfriend.
Driving in the snow could not be more beautiful than ever! My 1st time driving in snow was early this year in Yosemite and was excited but nervous at the same time! Wish California weather was like Portland every winter! W for the truck 💪
Doesn’t matter what you put in the box. That’s your rolling office, when out in nature it’s your home. Put what ever you want in the back that will make you and the other guys or who ever comfortable.
White River snow park??? I’m an Eagle Scout Class of 1986. Spent many a weekend at the BSA lodge at White River. With my family as a kid we cross country skied White River canyon. Even digging snow caves for a weekend stay. Fun Stuff!!!
Bahaha, @ 1:45 "cheat meal, backup cheat donuts, those aren't good, my birthday is coming". LMAO then the bear "that just good financial planning, they didn't have anything smaller". I have heard of all these excuses cause I use to use some of them, but you sir take the win since you used them all in one take haha.
You could attach dish to the roof on a rotating bracket and put in a handle inside to rotate it and/or change the angle to get better coverage. Also good for shaking off the snow.
So you came thru Sandy and didn't stop by? 😁😁😉 Kidding! You were close by. Hope you have some sort of meet and greet in the Portland area at some point. Glad to see you using the camper for the first time. Peace!
Since you did make us wait for the adventure. I decided to help support you. Thanks Anker. for the unpassable deal. Yeah. we were going to switch to Starlink. and found out that we need to remover 4 trees, that wasn't going to happen this year. Starlink was going to start charging to just to have it. not to use it. It got sent back.
You need to get a diesel heater. They make them for RV's and you can buy and install them yourself. They can run off the same fuel tank as your truck. The only power it uses is for the tiny circuit and the fan. Your battery is more than capable of running that all night.
Given your diligent work on the habitat for ventilation and the passage into the cab, I recommend a Mr. Buddy propane heater instead of the electric unit. I was just hunting the coast range near Astoria and it was cold at night but I ran the buddy in my cargo trailer all night with no issues. It also keeps the moisture down inside your space.
I love any video of you driving your cars that you build, Chris! It's amazing watching car builds, but it is more awesome seeing you driving and enjoying it. ❤
I get people saying enjoy nature but if you use it as a gaming/party rig during the night that would be awesome. But I'd say check the sound proofing if you plan on going to popular camping areas
Knew you were heading to Timberline the moment I saw the single lane highway split. 🤪 I run my house WiFi on Starlink and it is partially blocked by trees here in Washington. 1000x better than the junk Internet we get through the cable here in the sticks. Should do everything you need.
I could not make it living like that, I have to be prepared and that level of “my parents went out of town and left me 50$ so I’m going to go to the groceru store and spend it all on candy” whilst in the middle of a snow storm without adequate gear and what not, I can’t lol. But don’t worry he’s got his gaming rig
Two vids in one day! 😱😱 helllll yeah!
Two vids use to be a treat now a it’s infomercial doubleheader makes you wonder if things are headed south
@@lwtc_o2r756 He has a sponsor every video bro, it really doesnt matter imo
You need a small diesel heater, the same as they use for van builds, tap into your diesel tank and you have plenty of heating capability that doesn't rely on battery.
Definitely a good idea
that's smart, we have some of those yellow jets at the shop that usually last all day and some on one tank. obviously he shouldn't use that kind of shop heater unless he wants to cook himself alive lol.
You can put the starlink dish on the ground, the signal is coming from outer space, the extra 10ft doesn't matter
:)😄
As long as no one steals it.
The camper is cool, but please tell me you're going to do the inside next because it looks like your squatting currently 😂
I mean it's kinda obvious
I mean,,, he addressed on the video.. So another person commented without having it watched entirely...
22:56
Ppl love to hate on this channel damn, don’t even watch the video, just start yappin right away
I've been watching you for years so when I hear the phrase "I did not prepare well" I just kind of laughed to myself because that's your MO. Much love ❤
2 B is for Build episodes in one day? What a treat.
Chris, the time lapse of the sunrise, clouds, and mountains at 19:00 is absolutely beautiful
Lol yeah electric heaters use a TON of energy. And yes, a diesel heater will do you wonders in that camper.
My buddy brought electric heated socks camping, and they drained an entire portable battery every night. I don't know how hot his socks got, but I was suprised at how much power they used.

Bruh, you drove right past my house! That's my Freddies!!
Sandy for the win! I live in town as well
I'm in BORING! lol. But I go to White River to take photos of my 1966 Mustang... in the summer of course! haha
Can't believe how awesome this is!
old BisforBuild is back!!!
Wow, this is epic! Do more like this!
I live in the Bellevue/Seattle area and it's pretty insane the amount of fallen trees and power outages the day after the storm. Like 80% of the Puget sound around had no power and I physically couldn't make it to work since all the roads surrounding me had massive trees blocking the roads. Stay safe!
You gotta install an espar diesel heater in this unit
Now I own a cheap hotel, got a decent chuckle out of me
Theres a reason why RV's etc is light colors often. Your truck in the summer time is gonna become a sauna
The ring girl news story😂
I saw that too was laughing my @$$ off 😂
0:15 😂 #wheeze laugh

You may want a diesel heater
Being a Florida native, I could not handle being without 12 hours of light during the day. Even in the winter we have almost a full 12 hours. 2 in 1 day!!!! Lets gooo
As a Canadian, what sorcery did you use to get snow before us?
Also, here before the bots.
Its almost December and still no snow here in Fredericton nb
Where the hell in Canada do you live lmao. I'm in Alberta and we've already gotten a ton of snow. Been -10 to -20 the last 2 weeks.😂😂😂😂
We got 59 degrees here in Sweden, something ain't right. New record here.
lol its been snowing in california
Driving in the snow could not be more beautiful than ever! My 1st time driving in snow was early this year in Yosemite and was excited but nervous at the same time! Wish California weather was like Portland every winter! W for the truck 💪
Heated blankets don't draw a lot of power. And they have water proof ones.
You need spike tires for the winter 😂
Not for the snow, but the ice
That's some awesome timelapse!
Doesn’t matter what you put in the box.
That’s your rolling office, when out in nature it’s your home. Put what ever you want in the back that will make you and the other guys or who ever comfortable.
From a truck driver coming to you get a diesel heater man those things work better than that contraption you have there
bro you need snow chain !!! and a proper sleeping bag
I just realized I've been following your channel for over 6 years. I love how far you've come and how epic the builds have gotten.
This is awesome to watch as someone who wants an RV and has no experience being in a mobile home
White River snow park???
I’m an Eagle Scout Class of 1986.
Spent many a weekend at the BSA lodge at White River. With my family as a kid we cross country skied White River canyon. Even digging snow caves for a weekend stay. Fun Stuff!!!
Get espar diesel heater it’s small and can heat the truck easily I have on my truck
been living in a solar powered RV a couple years now. space heaters draw too much power, but heated blankets don't. you'll sleep snugly.
I had a major heart attack two weeks ago so you putting out two video’s sure helped my day. Being stuck at home bites the big one.
We use one of those small under desk heaters in our trailer, it's quieter than the gas furnace and provides plenty of heat
Bahaha, @ 1:45 "cheat meal, backup cheat donuts, those aren't good, my birthday is coming". LMAO then the bear "that just good financial planning, they didn't have anything smaller". What do you mean you were afraid of freezing... you were drinking Guinness, you could have slept outside after a few tins ffs. ❤ from N.Ireland.
So you came thru Sandy and didn't stop by? 😁😁😉 Kidding! You were close by. Hope you have some sort of meet and greet in the Portland area at some point. Glad to see you using the camper for the first time. Peace!
Look at Webasto heaters, that should do the trick instead of the power hungry electric heater. Good job Chris
I watch a LOT of UA-cam and that time-lapse sunrise was THE coolest thing I've seen in a very VERY long time. Great video sir!
If it was my project, I would paint the ceiling and some of the sides white.... The rest.... lots of work, friendship and dedication
Looks like a stealth fighter with all the angular panels.
I'm in SF Bay. This damn storm is wreaking havoc on my job. Rain=no work. 🤬🤬🤬 Love the camper build
You need to get a diesel heater. They make them for RV's and you can buy and install them yourself. They can run off the same fuel tank as your truck. The only power it uses is for the tiny circuit and the fan. Your battery is more than capable of running that all night.
Sunshine and blue skies down south. And probably tornadoes at some point lol
That's a dam good night out in my books...middle of nowhere in ya camper gaming while having a beer...couldn't ask for much more
Given your diligent work on the habitat for ventilation and the passage into the cab, I recommend a Mr. Buddy propane heater instead of the electric unit. Empty parking lot plus snow = snownuts.
Trucknuts?
Trucksnownuts.
I have a 4x4 Yukon and we get snow all the time in the Salt Lake valley... but not seeing pavement and heavy snow fall still stresses me out :D
This episode had a real OG B is for Build feel.
Diesel heater. There cheap and they work
I just LOVE this truck!! Great job on this build and can’t wait to see it finished.
Your 2pm in Portland reminds me of what it was like here in Nebraska
14:30 Doesn't look bad. Stitched playmat. Love living in Oregon. Appreciate the feedback on Starlink too before my son gets one. Thank you.
This is very much what we'd expect from a BIFB test run. Un-prepared and flying by the seat of your pants!!! lol
1:53 What can’t we comprehend?
Jokes evidently 😂
This is probably my favorite build
I love any video of you driving your cars that you build, Chris! It's amazing watching car builds, but it is more awesome seeing you driving and enjoying it. ❤
Guinness yes my man
Been waiting for the camper to hit the road!!! It sounds like lightbar vibration whistle.
I've definitely gotten through a lot of vanlife nights by eating from a tub of potato and egg salad.
So funny watching a UA-camr from your home town. I drive 26 all the time and get diesel at the same Fred Meyer in Sandy lol.
19:44 If you want a 100W heater, just let your PC run all the time :D
I get people saying enjoy nature but if you use it as a gaming/party rig during the night that would be awesome. But I'd say check the sound proofing if you plan on going to popular camping areas
Knew you were heading to Timberline the moment I saw the single lane highway split. 🤪

OMG, those tires look SO SMALL on that truck seeing it out in the open.
Get yourself a diesel heater it be a huge plus with that rig
Get a Mr buddy heater with carbon monoxide sensor. Cheap effective, propane bottles can be refilled or you can use a big tank.
That brand of Deviled Egg Potato salad is the bomb!
Amazing scenery, makes the camper truck build so worth it. Enjoy it. And F1 was really cool too, was a great race in Vegas.
Would love to see you do more videos like this!
I would just use a magnet for the fuel door... 😁 2 vids today👍
ive been WAITING FOR THIS SERIES TO COME BACK FOR SOOO LONGGG
You need a high tech state of the art fuel door stick
This is an AWESOME video and a great change of scenery!
The whistle is likely the light bar on the roof. They’re notorious for that.
Either diesel heater or replace AC with a window heat pump unit. That way heat and ac in one efficient package.
Sick you went to the White River Sno-Park! We go there almost every winter to go sledding. Such a good spot especially when it is clear...
Gotta paint the chrome trims black and put some rugged wheels and tires
white river west sno-park is awesome the last time i was there it was crammed with cars and people.
love the vid dump, keep 'em coming!!
It's been a fun few nights with these videos..
ayeeee thats a fractal terra pc case itx build!!!
Loving the truck content… keep them coming 🙌🏽
Good to see you having fun!
Love the build!
Amazing sunrise, have a great Thanksgiving
Consider a heat pump and a generator instead of a diesel heater. With a heat pump you will get heat and A/C.
A little like Mav! This episode 👍🏼
Love your videos great and amazing content always
obviously, you need espar diesel heater, that used in rv's otr trucks and busses. use fraction of energy over night and sips diesel.
Just get a heating blanket that should keep ya super toasty
i love this channel even more with the Summit1G shoutout !
Think I saw this truck at red Rock casino in Las Vegas 😂
