Kaunas Buses play an important role, they connect all parts of Lithuania's second-largest city. Together with Kaunas Trolleybuses, they provide a convenient way to get around the city. Rolling stock is mostly new, with lots of "MAN Lion's City" buses, but also some of the legendary buses working, for example, 25m long "Van Hool New AG300"! Buses in Kaunas are operated by "Kauno Autobusai".

Thanks! :) Well, stop announcements are unique in every city, and they are a crucial part of the public transport system. It's interesting to see how they differ.
In my opinion, Kaunas public transport is the best in Lithuania. First of all, Kaunas is the first city in Lithuania to have all low-floor fleet in the city, and in the Kaunas district. Old transport is pretty much gone, it's more comfortable to ride in public transit. Some people think that transport in Kaunas runs infrequently, to me, I don't see that problem. I get to the stop, when bus or trolleybus in stop will arrive in 3-5 minutes. Since the city is small, we don't need buses to run that frequently, it's important to plan your time, and everything will be good. I've seen that people don't like front door entry system. There are 2 validators in all of Kaunas transit, so you can enter via front and middle doors, exit through all doors. On peak hours, drivers open all doors, unlike in Vilnius. Very good thing about Kaunas is the STOP buttons, it gives drivers in peak hours to reduce their lost time due to the traffic, and also better for passengers to travel faster, or make a transfer to another transport. Also from driver perspectyve, in Kaunas you don't have to change destination boards, they are controlled by the board computer, to which you have to login in the morning, or when changing to 2nd shift, and also there are not much documentation like in Vilnius, you come to last stop, and you have to write when you came, why were you late, and that stuff, in Kaunas you don't need to write that, only signatue that you are responsible for the bus.

Nice buses! How old are these buses? Which city and country is it? Which brand(s) and model(s) is it/are they? Which chassis and motor do thes buses have? Are these buses a diesel or an electric ones?
This is Kaunas, Lithuania 🇱🇹 Kaunas has around 250 buses I think. Newest being MAN 12C NL280 and 18C NG320 buses, oldest being VanHool New AG300. Electric bus fleet only consists of 5 Hybrid plug-in Mercedes-Benz Sprinter buses, others being diesel or CNG.

Блин, вспоминаю идентичный примерно по размерам и количеству населения Тамбов, и как-то невесело становится от того, что он куда более усосанный, по сравнению с Каунасом. Не, центр по большей части и районы-новостройки худо-бедно норм, но вот старые спальники ппц какие запущенные, частный сектор получше немного. Про транспорт вообще не говорю, троллейбус почти выпилили, автобусы работают, но в машинах полный зоопарк и техническое состояние оставляет желать лучшего. Маршруток, кстати,минимум, внезапно.
Вологда, которая чуть побольше размерами Каунаса, тоже неприятное впечатление оставила. А вот Псков в последние годы уже более-менее стал приближаться к среднеевропейскому уровню по благоустройству, да и транспортная система там зачётная.
Трехсекционные бусы напомнили о Бразилии, где они популярны на линиях метробуса. Кажется только Каунас эксплуатирует такой вид автобусов на территории бывшего СССР? Ещё в Таллинне есть трёхсекционный троллейбус.
Если не изменяет, то да, только в Каунасе есть трехсекционные автобусы.
В Таллинне трехсекционный троллейбус был только на тестировании, его вернули обратно.
Однако, так как они передумали убирать троллейбус полностью, то посмотрим, может трехсекционники таки появятся.
Если не ныть про Тамбов, а погуглить, то можно узнать, что в 2023 году город закупил 15 новых низкопольных автобусов на метане по федеральной программе обновления общественного транспорта. И их уже доставили в Тамбов.
