    The yellow contrast looks really good, especially with the raptor lights too.

    This is a good install if you cut the plastic and crash bar out. If you are doing it from a stock setup, probably check out Cali raised fog light install for easier go at it to remove the lower portion of the front bumper

    Great video 👍😎 Step by step, easy to follow, product looks well suited for this vehicle and application. I like the plug and play adapter. Kudos Baja👍

    Look great! I must've missed the part where you installed the two bolts loose (where the lamp is attached to metal bracket) for adjustment...how do you aim the lamp after install?

    Does this mount the same way into the ARB Summit bumper?

    I bought this kit, no black spacers were included. And the bracket is different, making it difficult to aim them down.

    Does not having that splash guard for the fog lights on cause any issues?

    Do these fog lights stay on with the hight beams on?? I know the stock ones turn off when you activate high beams

    • @doughaner2709

      Since you're using the factory wiring and switch they will turn off when brights are activated.
      You can make a change via ForScan to enable "Bambi mode" which keeps driving lights/fogs on with brights.

      @@doughaner2709 I've heard about "bambi mode" on some forums but some guys said that you'll fail inspection if you leave bambi mode on. I figure I'll be fine as long as I remember to turn it off before I go to get inspected right? Thank you for the info buddy!

    • @doughaner2709
      @doughaner2709 2 роки тому +1

      @@suds9853 We don't have an inspection process here in Colorado. But if we did, and that was something they checked I would certainly switch it back to factory for the inspection. ForScan is pretty useful and you can find a lot of help with it online.

      @@suds9853 I've used it to correct the tire size, disable the horn honk when taking keys out of the running truck, disable "enhanced engine noise," enable "turning lights," and maybe a couple of other minor things. For those alone it was worth the $150 I spent on a refurbed Windows laptop to run it.
      It can be intimidating at first but go slow, and save your "as builts," and you'll be fine.
      The ForScan forum is helpful for general info but for our trucks specifically check out the ranger5g forum. Specifically the "electronics" subforum.

    Could I just buy the bracket and spacers? I already have the bajas and harness from a previous vehicle

    This video should be removed from youtube. It presents false and misleading information. There is no bolt on the top of the triangular splash guard, it is a push pin. There is no way to remove the push pin through the rubber seal. The only way to remove that splash guard is to remove the bumper. There is no way to remove the bracket behind the fog lamp with out removing the triangular splash guard. There is no way to remove the fog lamp without removing the bracket. Bumper removal can be found here; ua-cam.com/video/_ncMjydMbWQ/v-deo.html

    What nobody tells you is that the one screw or small bolt is behind the crash bar and it is virtually impossible to loosen enough to get to it. Most likely have to pull off or greatly loosen the bumper to take out the crash bar to remove the splash guard, to remove the unit. Totally dumb engineering.

      It's frustrating as hell. I tried putting my new fog lights in yesterday and when I saw that I was pissed.

      @kmn842 2 роки тому +3

      I was able to get the splash guard out without removing the bumper or crash bars. I did have to remove the bolts for the crash bars, and then use a small 10mm open ended box wrench. You have to come at it from below, and make sure you get a good grip on the bolt or you will strip it. Then you have to take that stupid bolt out 1/8th of a turn at a time. It takes forever and made me angry, but it came out.
