I just took delivery of the 2022 Suburban RST with the luxury package, 4WD and sunroof. It was 70k. It has electric seats to fold down both the second and third rows. It also has cameras all around the exterior of the car. I have this car in the mountains and it is perfect for a large family. Quiet and well made. The car you tested has fewer options. Great review, as always. I don’t know about putting candy and twinkies all over the car in the Florida heat. Keep up the great work.
@@smrtguy77777 I have noticed that my gas mileage is poor. I had a 2020 with the same engine displacement and got a little less than 18 mpg. This one is showing 14. I only have 450 miles on the vehicle and dropped it off to have the dealer computer check the engine this afternoon. The engine is very quiet and seems to be operating properly. Just picked up a 2022 Suburban RST with the 6.2 in Cherry Red and let me say, it is awesome. Hands down RST is the way to go. Awesome work your doing Joe.
I have a 2007 Suburban LT, my dad bought it for us like 2/3 of a year. We have made changes to it. Now when people look at us going out, they always ask "Is that your luxury car? It's awesome". The changes are: put new Chrome-trimed head lights, shiny silver rims, and the radio glows in many colors. ITS DAMN COOL. That's why I would either prefer to have the 2022 Suburban or have both our 2007 Suburban and the 2022 Suburban.
I love the new suburban! They should’ve add buttons to power fold the rear seats down…would’ve been better to add it for convenience but, overall nice full size suv!
Suburbans are nice but I’m going Yukon. I was waiting for the rear wiper being tucked under the spoiler part but ?? Thanks Joe and Lori. Great job!! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
I want the 2022 Yukon XL SLT, trying to find the right dealership to order it. You missed one thing the Yukon has over the suburban: laminated front windows on the yukon, put any yukon window halfway down and look at the windows edge, you can see its 3 layers, same as the Escalade, makes a difference with noise reduction.
I have 2021 Suburban RST Black on Black already for 5 month and i love it ! Drives so well no issues ! I Only option i have is panoramic roof which i love and brings much needed light inside a truck . I live in Brooklyn NY and biggest problem for me is mirrors are not powered and i have to fold them manually also i would like to have front facing camera and camera on the mirrrors but that option is "signature package" and costs over 5k and now coz chip shortage u will need to wait over 6 month to get yr car . As always great review !
i have ordered a suburban premier. only one problem; i have to wait a long time for it! i know i will love it! i just wish i could have it now! this will be my second suburban and i'm keeping the first. this is an awesome product!

Great review as always! Love the attention to detail and passion you have for presenting a vehicle. I miss the Tampa/Clearwater area, I am a Univ. of Tampa grad. Love south Tampa! Keep up the excellent work and stay safe!
The Yukon is ever ever slightly more premium and the price differences are usually in line with the quality difference. The Yukon is usually about 1-1.5% more expensive than the chevy counterparts. The only time it differentiates is the denali vs high country, where gmc runs away. Edit the steering wheel is fine. It needs to be function over form, it's a steering wheel. Let the gauge cluster be a fancy screen.
I remember when the Suburban looked like a "Station wagon" version of the Silverado. It seemed so much longer compared with today's version, but this looks so much sportier, especially when it comes with the V8s. Not exactly a "muscle SUV," like the Grand Cherokee SRT,but perfectly adequate for the environment to which it will be in.
As always, Joe's energy is just amazing, I don't know how he does it every time. This review was for an LT model but, it would have been nicer if the High Country would get an exclusive dashboard like the Denali gets in GMC. SLE SLT AT4 have one type of interior dash but the Denali's is totally different. But in Chevy LS, LT, Z71, RST, Premier and even High Country have a same dash which I hope Chevy changes for the 2023 model atleast. Silverado's new interior would be nice for the High Country. I hope Chevy reads this like Joe says
What about the front and side cameras just like Tesla, which can be added to the camera view ? This car is nice and big. Add the side sensors and cameras for the best options to make it easy to drive around.

Tell them to add small refrigerator in between middle of front diver and passenger side, so that can help to drink cold water and soda . I think you got it what I mean
I wish GM would bring back the 2 door Tahoe/Blazer. If a 2 door version came out. Instead of the old bench seat that the 2 door Blazer/Tahoe had. Give it 2 single captain seats. It would make ingress & egress a bit easier to navigate. Plus make the seats roomovable. Make a 5.3 , 6.2 V8 available. Then maybe an "entry level" with the 3.6 V6...and call it the RS Tahoe.
I bought the 2021 and it really hurts me that they didn't give the 21 the new speedometer screen! Bastards! But I was able to get mine early 2021 without any chips missing. and I have the Signature Package which includes a ton of stuff like Panoramic Roof and 3rd and 2nd row electronic seat buttons
No Fog light but it does have a knock out door you can place a after market to be added! Still a starving on fuel either gas or diesel and maybe hybri or all electr model in the future?
If you buy a $65,000 vehicle and allow your teen to drive it, you're already doing it wrong. My pops pulled my first vehicle out of the woods with a tractor and said good luck.

You nailed it with the history of this Suburban model name, Joe. I believe Chevy started using this name in 1936, give or take a year. And, no, I wasn't present during its launch year. LOL! Anyway, I believe the Suburban is actually a more reliable large SUV than what GMC produces, especially given the overblown nature of the Yukon Denali trim option. Bought already a second (without Auto Start ... Thank God) 2021 Tahoe Z71 in July and love it. Would buy the Suburban but the length just doesn't fit comfortably into my garage. The Tahoe has plenty of room and works perfectly for me. Wife loves the Tahoe too, but if we have a bigger garage would possibly opt for the Suburban (but with the buttons to fold/raise the third row, without the buttons it's already a challenge in the Tahoe). On the trim in our Tahoe Z71 we got the panoroof and rear entertainment system as creature comforts. Second row in the Tahoe seems to be pretty much the same like the Suburban with sliding seats, etc. So it seems regarding space it's just the additional room in the cargo area for the Suburban.

I have six kids too. The suburban is the only one that comes with the option to seat nine people. A bench seat in the front and two benches in the back. I just don’t know if the higher end trims come with those seating options. I know you can get seating for eight with two bench seats in the second and third row in most trims, but I’ve only seen the 9 seater in the LS. I have a Yukon Dinali currently and looking to trade it in so I can seat eight or nine. It will be hard to take a step down in trim level if I go for the nine seater though. And a mini van is just not an option. Not enough cargo space or power. Decisions decisions.

Would love to get a Tahoe or Silverado but them not addressing constant lifter failure and bent pushrods just makes me not even wanna look at them. And it's sad because I love the styling of them
It’s not really an issue on the newer L87 motors. The system is revised and the biggest insurance policy you can have is to change your oil every 5k miles. Don’t bother with that 10k-15k mile stuff.
@@IKhanNot nice to know. I've seen alot of engine failures but the only recent news I've heard is some of the motors are coming with cylinder deactivation turned off from factory. I wish some of the guys posting about engine failure gave updates.
@@Aerodynamicz1 I am a Service Advisor at a GM dealership. We don't see much AFM failures on the L86 or L87 motors. We saw more with the previous generation Vortec motors with the DOD system. If you buy a used Tahoe or Yukon and don't hear any ticking then get a Diablo tune done on it. You void any remaining warranty but it disables the AFM system plus optimizes shift points. The 8 and 10 speed units force the highest gear as fast as possible to get better fuel economy but the tune will make it more driveable.
@@RaitisRides do these come with an option to add a middle seat on the second row like the older models, I think I can convince my wife for us to get one of these if I can get that extra seat this way only the older one stays home lol

We just ordered a new one and hopefully it gets here before next year 😂
Which one is more dependable? Tahoe or Yukon Denali???????
Would love to get a Tahoe or Silverado but them not addressing constant lifter failure and bent pushrods just makes me not even wanna look at them. And it's sad because I love the styling of them
I hope Chevy fixes that!
@@IKhanNot what about bent pushrods? I thought that was a design flaw?
What motor option do you recommend and why?
V8! Tried and true!
@@RaitisRides do these come with an option to add a middle seat on the second row like the older models, I think I can convince my wife for us to get one of these if I can get that extra seat this way only the older one stays home lol
I watch from Poland, thank you for your great videos!:-)
Another nice video so far! Thanks
Thanks man for saying that.
Just remember, the more features you have, the more you will need to fix. I like my 09 suburban :-)
That color really pops 😍
You better believe it!
Can’t wait for the review on the High Country trim
I can not wait to bring it to you Paul!
That 'Burb is a big girl! lol
Thanks for bringing it to me, Lori and Joe!
I see what you did there!
