Its to debate whether mark kills himself or jack kills him because he's high off drugs. I believe mark kills himself because he seemed depressed for a while and even gave jack his vest before heading out to the woods I guess as a memory of him

If you remember, Mark was all beaten and bruised shortly after his father saw him and Jack, and he has been shown to be abusive, wouldn't be surprised if he was homophobic too. That's why Mark was sorta pushing Jack away at the end, after what his father did he decided that he should leave, as he was being punished for the one thing in his life he loved and felt was right. Jack was enough for him to stay, until he was presumably beaten by his father BECAUSE of that, that unfortunately changed his mindset, that even what he thought was a small good thing in his life ended up just causing more damage
