Something slightly different. One of my top UA-cam searched terms is "Volca Bass", so what did I do in all my UA-cam content creation wisdom? Ignored it 🤣
But I was thinking of something to do to take a break from lo-fi beats and thought "live Volca Bass jam, why not?" Why not indeed, so here we are.
It's a rough jam, some ok bits here and there, it was nice just jamming out with no real goal or direction.
I was thinking about doing a narrated version, could be funny, let me know if you like this format 🤙

Okay being a beat boi, my expectations were admittedly tame for this beat-less jam. But hearing this evolve from krautrock, to post rock and then dip into modular eurorack territory, you're going to have to do this again sometime! Very very cool sesh!

      @Warmsynths  Рік тому +3

Haha you me and me both about the tame expectations, I was pleasantly surprised it didn't devolve into angry fart territory, admittedly I did lean towards playing safe with the cutoff etc
I reckon i'll have another go soon and narrate my thinking as I go about it, might be interesting.
      Thanks mate! 🤙

Your impromptu performance video using three VCOs from VolcaBass, like a groovebox, is truly intriguing.
The occasional appearance of the male dancer and emojis adds a delightful accent, making it a lot of fun.
I'm quite fascinated by your improvisational skills and beat-making.
I'd love to see more of your music-making with various synths.

It's really cool being able to have the separate voices on the vbass, really makes it fun to use solo.
Haha I thought it'd be funny to add DJ Khaled dancing, might add more little easter eggs in the future 😉
Thanks mate I really do appreciate you watching and commenting, and yeh lets get some more of these live jams with different synths going!

Very nice sound! I’ve never played a volca bass but I like the tone a lot. It’s good to hear it again. I was thinking recently that you do so well with the sampler tracks, and I enjoy those so much, but I do miss hearing synth jams like this.

I always feel like i'm barely in control of the vbass, as if it's always a touch away from growling out of control haha
Thanks mate thats really nice to say, I felt the same, i've been journeying deep into sample beats territory 😀

man's going back to the basics! ya i dig the idea, and there's some neat sounds in there for sure: around 2:00 is giving me mad mr. robot vibes, for example, or that bit around 3:30 is like some kinda sickkkk romhack of sid meier's civ 1 intro. and the way you're making it so percussive at times is, not gonna lie, giving me IDEAS

The input to the filter on the td-3 is worth the price of admission. I play other synths with the td-3's CV and gate, and feed them into the td-3 filter and get CRAZY results! The TD-3 is my favorite utility box.
