Back in the 80s there was a local brouhaha when a boy wore a skirt to high school. Boys weren't allowed to wear shorts in the dress code but girls could wear skirts, and in the blazing Texas Summers the difference was significant. He didn't start a trend among the other boys (today you'll get different results), but the school got a lot of bad publicity and changed the dress code... for about two years before going back to the more stringent standard for boys.
I'm glad I stuck around for the part-two of this series. I thought the guy in the skirt was going to be some whack-job. It turns out he was the only serious person there.
