Appreciate the follow-up review. I just got my click and grow 9 and have had it for about a month with one pod (tomato) not sprouting. I also agree with you on the click and grow app; I haven't seen much benefit from it and there isn't anything "smart" about it. I do like that I don't have to fuss around with plant food to maintain the plants. I remember having to do that with my Aerogarden and had to keep buying plant food which can get costly. Although I enjoy using both my Aerogarden and my Click and grow, I like the sleek design and minimalist look of the Click and Grow. It looks less bulky than the Aerogarden and requires less fuss.
Thanks - helpful! I have used the product for one grow season with good results. I appreciated your comment about trying “other” mediums! I think I will stick with click-n-grow based on your comment and the initial bitmof research I have done!👍🏼
Supposedly, the "smart" part is in the soil and straw because it doesn't require constant maintenance and tests to add nutrients. There shouldn't be anything that needs to be monitored- so it wouldn't need more connectivity. I was surprised they have an app at all. The claim is that its just a bucket of water and lights- and the pods do all the work. But I'm curious if its worth it, if the cost of the pods is worth the yield you get... it sounds like a hobby at best.
Ive wondered this too, because my outdoor plants take enough water to also be in the hobbiest territory. I received the click and grow as a gift, and so far it is significantly more water-efficient, although id want more detail over what differentiates this soil
The only problem I found was that almost all of the basil seeds were stuck to the sticky cover seal to the cup. I picked each seed off with tweezers and still had lots of plants sprout.
Hi, do you ever wash your systems in the dishwasher? I really hate handwashing mine and wondering if these are dishwasher safe. It says yes on their website but wanted to see if someone has actually done it a few times successfully with no warping!
I have had bad experiences with growing mini tomatoes and spearmint. After months of taking care of the pods and following instructions , I got 3 mini tomatoes and the mint was no mint at all. It did not look like mint, did not smell like mint and definitely, did not taste like mint. I contacted ‘click and grow ‘ and received a prompt answer. That was the good part. The bad part was that they basically blamed me for not following instruction . I did have ok results growing basil, however you cannot compare growing basil outdoors (in the summer) with the product you get indoors. So don’t expect too much. I think I am going to try selling my planter. Anyone interested?
Thanks for the follow-up! It's always great to see long-term reviews to find out which products stand the test of time!
That was the most informative review I have ever watched, about any product, ever.
Wow, thank you SO MUCH!
"As you can see, we have rain the forecast, back to you, Jon?"

Good job my new friend. I just bought one and will start using it. Fully support! Have a great weekend.

Do these grow in perpetuity provided you give it due care or are the pods a one time use?

I’m sure you need a 9 or surely more like a 27 if you’re really growing for a lot of food.
Love your reviews always.
On sale now at Nordstrom's anniversary so I'm biting... thank you for your 2 year update.
Thank you 😊

I had that happen too.
Do you know if this can double as a plant cloner?
Oh. Good question. I don’t know but maybe someone else here does.
Thank you.
@ErinLawrenceTV Do any of them (specifically the Basil and the lettuces) regenerate at all? And if so, for how long?
Not really. I’ve tried. 😃
Does the plant keep growing after you trim your plans
How did you make your own soil refills?
Once you get aphids it's so difficult to get rid of them , 🤯😢
It sure is, ugghh.
When you cut lettuce for example, does it grow back?
Lettuce doesn’t really grow back. Sometimes New leaves keep sprouting from the base, but it doesn’t regenerate.
@@ErinLawrenceTV Thanks for the reply! Do any of them regenerate at all? Just seeing if this can actually be an alternative to buying salad.

Oh, good question! No I have not, but I really should. I want to give them a scrub before my next crop.
I put mine in the dishwasher and no warping!
you can always do cold cycle...
thank you Erin !
You're so welcome!
Thanks Erin.
I wanted to know how, if possible can I plant my own seeds?
You can
Where the website for the pods

Have you checked out Aerogarden?

That's too bad. Thanks for sharing your experience Rachel.
Do you have the 3 or 9 pod? I'm interested in the 9 if you want to sell it.
