      Kiera listen, I heard someone else pronouncing it like that so I thought that I would be wrong pronouncing it how I thought which is the correct way, lol. We gone move past this as a unit and be supportive and continue our hot girl summer! 😂😂😂😂

    The natural hair is basically new hair so its nt damaged by external factors therefore it will have lower porosity. Your relaxed hair is damaged af by the chemical relaxing process therefore it will sink as it is very high porosity hair.

    I'm glad you're a recent transitioner! I'm almost 5 months in with using box braids and wigs. I hope i can make it a year!

    • @Shaaanelle
      @Shaaanelle  5 років тому +6

      pink-cherry-005 you can do it!! Just take it steps at a time with small goals like, wearing one braided style for 4-6 weeks, then on to another style goal

      Use Aphoge Products. The leave in and the green tea leave in. Will leave it soft and protect the line of demarcation. It really helps! Or keratin silk presses

      I'm with you; I have been resisting putting a relaxer in because I just don't know what to do with this hair of mine. I haven't had a relaxer since....since....some time last year and it's so hard when I'm use to getting a relaxer every 6 weeks...HELLLLLLP!

    Yay! You have so much growth and it looks healthy! My 1 year will be Dec 9th. This will be my 4th time going natural lol. I just could never deal with the textures, but it’s healthier than using chemicals. One thing I’ve noticed is that sectioning the hair and washing it in twists minimizes detangling

    • @Shaaanelle
      @Shaaanelle  5 років тому +1

      Aaliyah Bowling going natural can be so challenging when you’re goals don’t come to light or you have a setback, lol. I hope you make it through this time 🤞🏾! I tried to section my hair while washing it, but girl I got a peanut head, lmaooo. And it’s easier to just split my hair in half and wash and detangle that way. Also because I still have a lot of relaxed hair so the twists slip out. I will probably have to wash my hair in twists as it gets longer tho.

    • @aaliyahbowling9458
      @aaliyahbowling9458 5 років тому

      Shaaanelle so true! And lol peanut head, girl 😂 not everything works for everyone. Maybe you’re right, once your natural hair gets longer it may work better. I just know mine is thick and tangled so easily 😩

    • @Shaaanelle
      @Shaaanelle  5 років тому +1

      Aaliyah Bowling I read somewhere that if you hair is tangling too easily to add more moisture to your routine. If you need a good moisturizing deep conditioner, I would suggest the as I am hydration elation one and using the Aussie 3 minute moist “deep conditioner” as a rinse out.

    Yessss, I’m 1 year post relaxer too❤️I keep my hair in sew ins and braids but make sure to moisturize and in between styles LET YOUR HAIR BREATH LADIES🗣 and the time I allow my hair to breath it stays in a bun. A big chop was a no no for me but this is what helped me.

    Awesome, I am so proud of you. Recently I decided also to go natural. With research and also I want to be an example for my daughters too, telling them their hair is beautiful, but I am relaxing and altering my hair. When asked why do you relax your hair, by my daughter I had no answer. Thank you for helping me with my transitioning phase God bless you.

    • @Shaaanelle
      @Shaaanelle  4 роки тому +1

      Londiwe Ndlovu idk, babe... you may have to keep it stretched like I did for the duration of your transitioning phase. I blow dried my hair on low/no heat every time I washed it because it was just more manageable and I didn’t have to worry about two textures. Also, make sure you’re deep conditioning regularly. ♥️

    Did she just de tangle her hair with shampoo 😰😰😰😰😰 girllllllllllll that hair is strong 💪 does the shampoo that u use have a type of moisturizer to it cuzzz whew Chile
    I mean beautiful ma’am

    • @Shaaanelle
      @Shaaanelle  5 років тому

      Little purple Heartubts it does. It’s the KeraCare moisturizing shampoo. It helps a lot with detangling and hydration. I wouldn’t do it if i felt like it was damaging. I showed the comb afterword and there was barely any hair in the comb. I do it because I notice that some conditioners don’t have the right kind of slip and it still tags at the hair while detangling and this aids to make sure that my hair is detangled throughout the whole process because I get a LOT of shrinkage and I have to stretch it to style it so detangling is important for me, lol.

I did low heat/no heat blow outs after wash day and then LCO’d and put it in a bun. That’s how I got this far lol. But I think my hair is long enough now and I’ll be able to slick it back into a bun.
