This video really opened my eyes to how much better Arc can be compared to Chrome. Also, I just found out about the Astirna New Tab extension - it looks like a great way to boost productivity!
Arc is awesome but I might not be ditching my old edge browser for that as it seems to be a resource heavy browser and my laptop can't even run chrome smoothly😕 Edit:- damm it's a Mac only browser, therefore miles away from me
My recent favourite is Edge. Its so stable even after opening numerous tabs and most of these features already in it. I was late to explore and it's so cool.
I've BEEN using Brave for SO LONG MAN! It's been 3.5 years now. This one feels the best to me. I'll try Arc in the future and compare for myself which one I like better. Thanks for sharing tho.
yeah. i am using it for 4 years and i don't think any other browsers come close with the combination of seamless privacy and day to day features of brave....unless a new one like brave can come that i can trust...i wont change it.
I've tried it and didn't find that to be true. Vivaldi offers a lot more features and options for customization. And the new features that arc brings seem like gimmicks ( i know some people love them). But what I really despised about arc was that you need to do things the way the developers want you to. For example, there is no option for horizontal tabs, the address bar opens into a spotlight like banner in the center if you want to edit the URL (which unnecessarily adds a few clicks to your operation if you're a mouse heavy user), etc. And from a privacy standpoint, we don't know how they handle our data. You can't use the browser without logging into it, so right off the bat they're not promising any concrete privacy. Switched back to FF.
I was using Opera GX because it has limiters(network cpu & ram), workspace and sidebar for pins and all. After seeing it, I have sign up for the waiting list.
Sorry, but Edge is still the king of all browsers right now, it has a built in screenshot tool, quick dictionary, spell check, translate, can install all of chrome's extensions, has great developer tools, vertical mode, a brilliant pdf reader, handy tools in the sidebar like search, calculator, youtube, etc. and most importantly it is very ram efficient. I switched to Edge from Firefox about one year ago and I don't regret it at all.
I agree with you that more powerful browsers are the future. This is because we increasingly live and work on our browsers rather than desktop apps for most things. The fact that a lot of people can replace their laptops with Chromebooks is a testament to this. Even professionally, a lot of us work on the cloud (for big data or servers) through a browser. This is good on one hand since you won't be restricted by your hardware anymore. But privacy will always be a concern with this approach.
The spotlight-like feature is quite cool. A Windows user like me will have to stick to Edge for now, though. Btw, Edge has a sidebar feature which does many of the latter features you highlighted. You can keep Gmail and WhatsApp open in the sidebar and use them side-by-side with your main window websites. Of course, the sidebar can do much more.
@@sparshgandhi3843 dude you're missing out big time lol. edge is just soooooo much smoother than basically any other browser out there. the animations help too. and features are immaculate. i was a big time chrome user but switching to edge was the best decision ever.
Arc is really amazing, i love the UI and everything about it, and it just works, perfectly aligning with MacOS's "it just works" philosophy. I hope Arc adds more exciting features in the future, but what it already has is perfect. which is the best part! It was well worth spending a few months in the waitlist haha, although I do also with they also release Arc for Windows soon, because in that way they will have greater range of users. Although I do not expect Arc to "shoot up" in the user count if that makes sense, I believe Arc will have a place in being one of the most elegant and user-friendly browsers out there. And thank you so much Beebom for this wonderful review of this browser, hope to see more soon:))
no matter how many videos you make , i doubt anything can compete with chrome. google controls web . no way that other company has more resources better than google. google does many experiments with chromium and those browser uses those and google implent it in chrome after it's done trial . so those are trial browser lol . around 80-85% web controls by google
Features are fine, based on the need people will choose one or other. But what's the performance improvement over Chrome? Is it better when more tabs are open? Consumes less RAM? Page rendering is faster? Can you cover those details too
Firefox top right search bar same thing in New tab. But thing is this is just a new window, unless it is not. I think it would take the same resources as a window, that side tiny thing to look for quickly. So Firefox new tab when you search in that top right is the better I feel kind of copied from FF
Tbh, I like my browser to be browser only, and to not try to replicate functions of my os. Learning a set of quick shortcuts for my os, makes me more productive than again remembering more shortcuts for a browser other than the usual ones every browser ships with.
I am using Mozilla firefox on laptop and phone. Its the last of its kind and uses a different engine. Its fast, stable and does the job for me. Also its unique compared to the generic chromium based browsers out there.
Brave is the best browser for Non Techy people it has the most privacy friendly defaults . But some crypto trackers which of you dont have dont have to bother . I recommend firefox android or if you ise fdroid the "fennec" and librewolf for pc/linux.
Firefox has improved a lot in recent times I have ditched chrome and edge since 1 year. I even replaced chrome to firefox on my android and so far the experience has been really great
That does look good! But I doubt it'll make a dent in Chrome's dominance. Google won't let that happen and they own the web. They can easily make things exclusive in Chrome and sites will use that XD
There are only two major problems with Chrome - one is regarding privacy and the second is that it's memory hogging. If Arc browser is able to improve in these two areas then it's better to switch to Arc else Chrome is fine for now.
Since Edge is having Chromium I can't pass over how lightweight and quick this browser is. I also use Brave but I mostly open Edge most of the time and use Brave only for work purposes.
I've used other browsers like Firefox, Opera, Brave, etc but deleted it within a week, I'm using Arc for more than 2 weeks now and I like it. I guess it'll get even better when the stable version releases
Have been using Arc for the last 3 months. I have uninstalled chrome after 13 years of use. Arc is amazing for UA-cam, Netflix, Prime or any other OTT as well. And the real-estate that it frees up on screen is something I didn't realise while using chrome.
It's interesting to see how Arc is positioning itself as the future of browsers. I wonder how it compares to other new ones out there. Definitely considering a switch!
Safari for mac is still far more optimised for battery and performance, didn’t charge my m2 air for two weeks straight, super light usage for 1 episode each day, still on 20% always on sleep
I use Vivaldi, it's just the beast, handles all the nested tabs, gives me the power on every element I wanna tweat. The sidebar feature is something useful for whatsapp, calender, mail. It even has it's own theme community !!
UA-camrs - I'm ditching my old thing (phone, browser etc) for this new thing. In the next video we see them using the same old thing like the browser etc.
This is just adding to the mono-culture of web rendering engines being Chromium based. Competition and diversity needed in this space. That's why it's good to support other entrants - the most notable of which is Mozilla Firefox.
I am extensive user of Brave.. works fine for most of the things.. but still at times some sites requires chrome only.. I hope something like this Arc can help with those in future.
Are you using any of the New Browsers? Share your experience! 🤔

edge..
Brave

The first thing you should mention that currently it is only avaliable for mac.

I use Edge Chromium strictly because its cool , Literally cool on the processor , easy on Ram,
And with the startup boost it works like a charm.
On windows only
Android too AFAIK
Same here, Edge on my pc and phone🎉
I also use edge on my pc & phone
Edge has Microsoft telemetry and data collection

Have you tried Orion? It is the best browser I ever tried, with the ability of both chrome and Firefox and wrapped the skin of Safari ❤️
Only the tab look has to be adapted to the new safari tab look otherwise it looks crap.
No extensions
I too liked it but the UA-cam videos are playing choppy
SigmaOS does everything that Orion does and supports chrome extensions.
Hey bro can suggest some more such softwares for mac which users normally are unaware of ( tq for Orion suggestion)
