- Frank Sinatra: World on a String. Great song by Frank Sinatra. This is a video that was posted a couple of years ago by another user. It was originally removed by youtube. I liked it so much, I remade it from memory. Wasn't too much to remember though. Enjoy.
I was born in 1922...was 31 when Sinatra came out with this song, you couldn't turn on the radio for 5 minutes without hearing this song...those were the days.
Youre dead now😣

I don't understand why people these days don't like great singers like Frank Sinatra&Dean Martin. Those guys knew how to sing.Alot of singers these days, not so much.
People now days don't have the best taste in music
This music is old lmao
@Sub woah...really?
@@Sub-lt5yd good music is good music, old or new, doesn't matter.
I never said it was bad. People don't have the same music tastes today.
”life is a beautiful thing, as long as i hold a string“ my motto
This man is a legend. No-one can ever replace such a brilliant musical talent. RIP Frank Sinatra December 12, 1915 - May 14, 1998.
I've got the world on a string, sittin' on a rainbow
Got the string around my finger
What a world, what a life, I'm in love!
I've got a song that I sing
I can make the rain go, anytime I move my finger
Lucky me, can't you see, I'm in love
Life is a beautiful thing, as long as I hold the string
I'd be a silly so and so, if I should ever let go
I've got the world on a string, sittin' on a rainbow
Got the string around my finger
What a world, what a life, I'm in love
Life is a beautiful thing, as long as I hold the string
I'd be a silly so and so, if I should ever let go
I've got the world on a string, sittin' on a rainbow
Got the string around my finger
What a world
Man this is the life
And now I'm so in love!

Franky était et restera des représentants de la grande Amérique et de sa puissance, par sa voix et sa personnalité "thank you Franky "
Wrong, this song was written by Mr. New Vegas. Just for me, the courier.
I don't understand how people can hate frank sinatra, I mean, he's FRANK SINATRA
+ForeverMonchele who he?
ForeverMonchele Some can say he's overrated.
WHO SHOULD I MURDER?!?!
Mario Ruiz But that's the thing, he's not. Fight me.
Actually please don't fight me
does anybody hate him?
I am not in my 20s yet, and l LOVE Frank Sinatra's songs, make me feel like I am invincible!
Such an iconic pairing: that great voice of Sinatra in his prime, and Nelson Riddle’s superb orchestra behind and out in front. A classic in every way.
Man, his voice sends chills up my spine. One of the greatest voices to have ever sang.
This is why he'll always be the Chairman of the board. Rest easy Francis Albert, we miss you.
the best of all time wow what clarity and excellent diction!
My dad had this great song on a 78; I can still see it *zooming* around our family turntable... 🥰
That voice. Those looks! 😍
Too bad we don't have talent like this anymore!
GAH his voice is just so smooth and perfect!
like silk. no one better
Frank Sinatra, please come back to haunt today's singers and teach them to sing the right way!
Riley Kershaw amen
Listen to Lady Gaga's Cheek to Cheek album with Tony Bennett.
What about smash mouth?!?!?!
unpopular opinion but there is no right way to sing, its all subjective
Yes please
This is a Sinatra Classic. It holds its own for ever.
My favorite Sinatra song. But choosing a "favorite" Sinatra song, is like choosing your favorite child. You just can't do it...
Facts
Uhh easy.. ‘American Beauty Rose’ is obviously the best.
Fly me to the moon
"choosing your favorite child" will always remind me of a flight that I was on (as a passenger, for a change) with Southwest Airlines. When the steward got to the oxygen mask part and traveling with a child, he mentioned, "if you are traveling with more than one child and you're wondering which child to place the oxygen mask on first? Just think of which child it is that *won't* be trying to place you into an assisted living facility. That's the child you should administrator the mask to first!". That had me laughing for half of the flight and I still get a good laugh out of it to this day.
@@captainmorgan757 oh i know that youtube video!
Rest in peace Frank Sinatra, you've made so many wonderful songs that makes us all happy, and I wish he would see this to this day. :)
He truly was a special vocalist and a amazing human being who did more for the acceptance of black musicians and singers than any body that i know.
I've never been in love but every time I hear this song it sure feels like it.
+Irma Silva How could you never have been in love? Love is one of the greatest gifts, feelings, and you're missing out?
John Sheppard yeah. Maybe some day. ^-^
+John Sheppard I love my cats.
+Cade Jepson the feels buddy that's why I'm here to.
Damn, that's a tough deal. I'm sorry, guys. I hope things work out.
Get a load of that orchestration, especially the brass! And the harmony. Wild chords! Brilliant! And with Frank singing. Beam me up now! Fantastic when everything is working: the singer, the band, the arrangement! Nothing like this today. So sad! But fortunately, we have these recordings.
"Life is a beautiful thing as long I hold the string" love this song 🙌
ohhhhhh so this is what really good music sounds like.
People say stuff like "Oh this is real music" and they put up a rap song, but ohh boy they got it all wrong. This is real music.
Jason Irizarry all music is real music. And most music is good music to different people
Jason Irizarry true
Jasmine Robinson except Fergie
Jasmine Robinson nah, real music is that of which emitts true emotion and is expressive, music that is enjoyable to the listener and artist, music that is truly art, this newschool pop and rap ain't art, all it is is milked out genres filled with unoriginal songs
There’s no one better than Frank Sinatra; how do you rate a great singers; longevity, many hit songs, memorable songs period.
HAPPY 100th Birthday to Mr. Frank Sinatra!

sigh, i wish all songs nowadays were this good.... 😍
I know right
They are
@@Sub-lt5yd give some examples... there are a few... but not all songs are good
Recorded April 30 1953 at Capitol's Melrose Avenue studio in Los Angeles. Accompanied by Nelson Riddle's orchestra. The song was written in 1932, music by Harold Arlen and lyrics by Ted Koehler.
I graduated high school too Zep and Alice Cooper and I find much of the cool music of my youth feels empty of soul in my middle age.If it doesn't swing it really doesn't mean a thing,at least when I'm alone with my guitar I get bored silly with isolated rock licks. Jazz rhythms and chords are just amazing things that I was late to appreciate..
How can you miss with Frank & Nelson, and that 4/4 bounce beat they do so well?
Imagine sittng in front of the bandstand listening to this....If any of you have never heard a big band live, treat yourself to a concert someday. It's worth the effort.
Ever since i played fallout 3 i have so much appreciation for truly old-school music, and i have to say,Frank Sinatra is the man.
Yeah man I played fallout 3 and been following the rabbit hole for years vintage TV shows movies books songs I dont think I ever going to find the bottom
I've always been a lover of old big band songs. Thanks for keeping ol' blue eyes alive!
This music... I want to be transported back into the time when it was made. I can see the era and talent, so plentiful. I'd give up some of my favorite current bands to be in a place where music had feeling, it had meaning. To a place where it had heart and soul, and not repetitious lyrics heard 100 times in a 4 minute repeat of trash.
Big bands, big brass, and big heart. I want to swing with the stars!
Then just listen bitch and stop whining
Aloha Frank Sinatra and jazzsingerableful !!! Thanks for posting "I've Got The World On A String." Awesome
song !!! Thank you so very much !!!!! Robert S.J. Hu August 20, 2020.
@MrGoldenTJG It's not just his voice - it's his phrasing, his sense of rhythm and, of course, his interpretation. For example, it sounds like he's grinning through the entire performance of this song. He's acting as he sings.
He was indeed one of a kind - no one can touch him.
He was my 3rd husband
No, way
I don't believe you!! 🤨
YOO GRANDMA WHATCHA DOIN HERE I THOUGHT YOU LEFT
WHAT
He was my 4th husband!...in my dreams
Sinatra totally went for it, which is rare, truly awesome for a performer - when you feel right and upbeat - if you feel it, just live the moment, chill, and - SING it out!
If there's something better than this, I'm sure I don 't know about it. Go, Frank!
We all know it's Frank's World and he is just letting us live in it.....
I'm with the oldies and west coast classics but this right here is good music💯
Sinatra's smile is one that can light up the world in total darkness. It's almost as amazing as his godlike voice. If heaven exists, I expect to hear this playing.
I love singing to Frank Sinatra songs...!
I was looking for a different song, but I stumbled on this by accident. Thank goodness that I came across this.
Man...
I can't help but think of my grandparents when this song plays.
RIP Grandmom, Grandpop. Miss you both. :(
Frank Sinatra has such a Great voice ! Sings this song like a true Boss , has so much talent !
Oh what a voice......
is anyone else about 18 yrs old and simply love his music? I feel as if I'm the only one. Making sure Frank's soul is still with us...
You're not alone! I am 18 and can't stand the music of this generation. I am an old soul!

Best rendition of this song ever done. Never been topped never will.
his voice is just unbelievable. I get shivers whenever i hear him singing.
Frank, simply the best: a true legend ❤
What a song!
The new bio on Frank Sinatra by James Kaplan states that when Frank heard the playback of this song, he knew his life and career and been altered irrevocably. This was the first time in a while that Sinatra had worked with a new arranger/conductor, Nelson Riddle. Riddle challenged Sinatra to sing outside of his 1940's and early 1950's comfort zone and adapt his voice to more daring arrangements that Riddle could provide.
Brilliant move
Volume one right
Agreed. Riddle was a magnificent arranger.
This is my little "happy" song that i listen to every morning!
I have GOT to sing this to my girl. Im in love with her
Good idea, that's really sweet!
Okay, it's four years later...Are y'all married now??

listening to this makes me realize how much music today sucks
Love Frank Sinatra. He has a great voice and knows how to put over a song. His songs make me happy.
Sinatra's singing was the picture. Nelson Riddle's swingin' arrangements were the frame.
i have no clue where i heard this song but i have listened to it for some time now
God amongst gods when it comes to music. Frank was a boss :)
FRANK SINATRA was the BEST! His phrazing, clarity, enunciation and the music pops! I love this song and it puts me in a happy mood all day!
l adored this man`s singing,.
We need more music like this today. Wouldn't solve problems but it wouldn't hurt
This song makes me smile.... what a great record! Good ole Frankie just one of a kind!
Normally I am a metal fan, but this music is so classy! Gosh I love it! Old music is just the best
you do a great job yourself Pete, people need to check you out.
i wished i lived in the 50s and 60s, life was so much better and the songs were soooo amazing
Alexander Bellini this music isn’t from the 60’s. Have you seen Austin Powers. Mike Myers is my cousin.. he loves Led Zeppelin Janis Joplin Metallica Elvis Costello, I don’t care for Elvis Costello but all of the 60’s was mainly hard rock heavy metal. Alice In Chains things like that all about Peace loving freaks. It wasn’t all good or magical either! If anything the 80’s was way amazing
I’m an 80’s kid!!!
This is what true music sounds like im such an old soul
I really feel sorry for people that didn't live in a time with real music. Great dancing songs, both fast and slow. Music you could understand the words to, that you could feel the song with happiness or in some cases sadness, but which ever ... they made you feel something. I sang and danced, played in a Big Band and enjoyed every minute, month and year. I now have a Frank Sinatra (Frank Sinatra Sings Again) site on Face Book and a site with better old music (Music For Time) ... not much singing, unless it is by the groups of the 40s, 50s, and 60s.
This is when music was actually music! Love it!
I am a rock and metal guy.... yet i LOVE THIS!!!!
Looking for this song for so long!!!! I FOUND IT!!!
Chairman of the Board, he owned it for so long... a good era that we will never get back!
Frank Is The Man!!!

Those trumpets are so powerful and loud!

I played this tune once on a workshop jazz band (first trumpet)
