It's on a timer, the more vents you hit the longer it stays exposed.

Update apparently there's a federation class Farragut battle cruiser spotted attack attacking a Titan a friend sent me a couple pictures

It’s the standard Titankiller krait build with a medium nanite torp replacing the medium AX multicannon. edsy.org/s/vL7bPvn you can also replace the multis with enhanced or sirius AXMRs for more thermal core damage.
