Magneto most of the time: talking in a poetic manner with a bit of grandiose confidence
Magneto with Charles: "Shut up"
Magneto: I am not in the mood to slam your in poetic dialogue
Xavier: uses his mind to keep going.
It reminds me of what Magneto said to X in dark phoenix, only shorter.

Roberto, you dont just betray a girl, attack her, and then apologize
He didn't betray anyone though
@@mariakos121 He basically betrayed Jubilee by siding with Magneto and attacking her. Roberto’s reasoning for joining Magneto’s side is 100% understandable in my opinion because of what his mother did to him but he gets no pass for attacking Jubilee when she cared about him a lot. He basically threw away the relationship they had during the season by joining Magneto and then attacking Jubilee from behind. Like saying sorry isn’t going to do anything. You broke Jubilee’s heart and then attacked her so she is going to be pissed at you and fight back

Ok, the way Magneto said “Shut up” is actually kinda funny. I feel like that was very unintentional but still.
He's still mad Charles abandoned Earth to hang out with girlfriend. So he feels Charles doesn't have the right to talk about things since he wasn't on Earth.

Brilliant line.
Fassbender really went all out trying to save those X-Men films with his acting.
It's funny how Magneto doesn't just kill Charles. Mainly because he is still a deep friend of his and that they both want to do good for mutants just different ideologies and they acknowledge that.
Also because Magneto wants to prove to Charles that his way is right. They're friends of course but also each other's biggest rivals.

Positive changes doesn't happen over night.
Magneto is not a bad man, but sometimes he's even more optimistic than Xavier.
He thinks powers are the solution, always. Too arrogant ant too hasty. I do not wanna blame Genosha on him, but maybe, MAYBE! The plan was too ambitious and not ready to be done. Same here.
No! Actually worst: even I belived the blackout was a temporaney thing, but look what he did.
Stopped the sentinels, yes! But not only he basically shouted down tecnology all over the planet, he also damaged the planet itself.
His great solution? Let's bring the mutants living on rock in the stratosphere, why not?
It just extremely impractical and deadly.
He's not a man with a plan and Rogue and Sunspot...How can they be so irrational and naive?
@ark1567 _Trauma and emotion can kill any reason and logic._ Rogue and Sunspot cannot be convinced right now, so they need to BE stopped. Needless to say, same with Magneto. *They're all letting the real culprits* (Bastion and Mr Sinister) *to get away with this.*
Magneto needs to be stopped but yeah sometimes it is nice to hear someone make him shut up. I think even Cyclops does that at one point.
@@ark1567 on the subject of the blackout it was the ONLY way to stop the sentinels winning but then going on to try to kill humanity is where he went to far. magnto is always half right and so is Charles one is too extreme while one is to idealistic. charles wants to cause change through peace but that has almost never happend in human history especially with racism when the us desegregated schools in the south they had to send the national guard to stop them from being murdered for change to happen there needs to be a balance between the threat of force and civle discourse

"Shut Up" Magento said calmly.
Magneto had the best line in the whole episode
You mean the best LINES
Magneto always has the best lines. Nobody can out debate him. Every episode he out debates whoever tries him whether it's the United Nations, Cyclops, or Charles Xavier himself. Magneto verbally owns and humbles them all.
😂
This episode was all magneto and if you didn’t like that then maybe your a little metal and magneto can pull that out quickly
This scene actually represents very well an issue with the writing and why more and more people in the audience side with Magneto:
Magneto makes arguments. Xavier preaches.
Generally, Magneto justifies himself depending on the things that have just happened, but Xavier tends to make essentially the same point like a broken record.
This is exactly why “shut up” is so satisfying. You can only say “We have to show them the better way” so many times before people stop being impressed by it.
Should’ve gone Alucard’s way, he has no problem punishing the party responsible but leave the none involved folks out of it. Heck wipe out prime sentinels all of them if Magneto must but wtf is he doing dooming the Earth for lols????
Seriously, Charles sounds like a bootlicker - We should prove our oppressors that we are good boys. Like what? It's the oppressors who should be proving that. Why is he always putting burden of moral responsibility on people who are being exterminated?
It's very clear from the get go in order for the show to continue, it must go back and be what people remember it for. Which in order to do so had to undo the ending of the original show. I'm not a fan of the original show, but it's very annoying that they couldn't stick to this new status quo, and have to back to the original Charles vs Magneto conflict. It's why I'm hoping it never touches Krokoa since it's approach simply doesn't fit something as layered as Krakoa.
Sorry. I don’t side with Magneto. Watch what you say.
I wouldn’t call it an issue with the writing. Both Valerie and Charles justify Magneto’s viewpoint, with the former’s vindication being a focal point of the episode. Charles understands that Magneto is justified in his way of thinking, he just disagrees. That’s why he’s attempting to appeal to him personally, outside of the political dilemma that they’re fighting over. It’s a desperation move because he knows the alternative is hurting Magneto. How do you debate someone who you know, despite your vehement disagreement, is completely justified in their philosophy?
Magneto, and by extension the writing, is quick to shut down Xavier’s platitudes. Xavier, for all his wisdom and tempered points, is running his mouth at the complete wrong time. The writers know that nobody, not the characters or the audience, wants to hear that from him right now. I mean, in this episode alone, Magneto, Cyclops, and Rogue all justifiably criticize Xavier’s line of thinking.
0:39-To quote Peter Griffin, “Shut up Charles.”
Magneto: Where were you, Charles? Where were you when our mutant brothers and sisters needed you? You were hiding on that planet and happy when countless mutants experimented and butchered!!! You abandoned us all!

I mean to be fair to Xavier it probably took the Shiara a little time to patch up his mortal injuries so it wasn't all getting his interstellar freak on. Plus he kinda figured they had things under control, Bastions cyborg freaks and ubersentinels were kinda outta left field for everyone.
But an angry Magneto and other mutant just had a traumatic experience. Why would they think like Charles? Plus this event reminded Magneto of his painful memories from Nazi POW camp.

Magneto tired it Xaiver's way. He went through the process of non violence and what happened a massacre, I knew when he came back that a lot of the team would join Magneto especially rogue who lost Gambit. Erik and Charles respect each other they are in a way brothers and equals, but Charles wasn't there he has never been through almost being erased, Erik had to go through a massacre once I don't blame him for not wanting to go through that again, he is not a villain what he is a survivor seeing thousands of innocent lives destroyed and then his friend daring to have the high horse of what he is doing is wrong yeah Charles needed to shut up he didn't what the hell he was talking about he doesn't get to be gone and then just come back expecting that everything would be the same as he left it. A lot more mutants are going to join Magneto because unlike Charles he was there on Genosha fighting for their rights and their lives.

Erik went through a massacre more than once. Before he was a mutant, he was a european jew. When he says "never again" in episode 2, he means it.

Beside when you're on the verge of conflict and your opponent is an Omega level threat mutant with the ability to manipulate the magnetic field and he wears an object that nullify your powers leaving you with just a cool wheelchair yapping is pretty much all you have at your disposal.
Seriously Charles has no high ground stance cuz he has achieved nothing
Achieved nothing? My guy charles was the reason mutants were able to find a safe haven when everyone else were busy hunting them down. Charles was literally the reason the image for mutants has gone up and the reason why mutants were more accepted dafuq you mean charles achieved nothing?
No kidding, just a lot of preaching. At least Magneto proves he'll fight and die for his kind. Xavier was about to let Jean and the others get fucking killed by Prime Sentinals in the most gruesome way possible and his response was? "well just hope they're fast enough so it doens't happen!", no wonder they all turn against him.
His "high ground" is that he never directly harm/kill any of the humans/mutants. He's a pacifist to a fault.
But he's not above wiping people's minds and leave them a vegetable, as long as that didn't directly kill them.
He has rescued, helped and gave an actual life and home to more mutants kids than any character in the show, he is the mutant who achieved more things for both mutants and humans in the entire X-Men franchise without even caring about himself, he just don't go for the easy and stupid plan of "lets do mundial a genocide and destroy the entire surface of the planet, or slavery and camps for humans" which he in fact could have done with more success than Magneto If he ever fell from that path. Futhermore, is Magneto the one that has fucked up when he tried to continue what Charles left, and the reason of why in every future he tries this shit always endss in near erasing all mutants, or the creation of weapons that end in mass destruction with him as the main reason.
Not just the fact that the idea of Magneto killing billions of people and affecting the planet is absolutely retarded, but the fact that is absolutely unpractical and impossible for him to pull out his apocalyptic vendetta. Avoiding the obvious, anti-mutant weaponery as those who destroyed Genosha that nearly killed Magneto by itself, or even avoiding mention nuclear bombs, this is an universe where SHIELD, The Hulk, The Avengers, Thor, and every major superpowered superhero from Marvel exists, probably even The Eternals, so Magneto is lucky for the own sake of mutants that they are the the onr stopping him, there is no way that his plan is not putting his people at even worst risk.
Charles is as responsible for the genocide as Bastion is due to his inactxion
Alright Magneto good for you.
Jubilee is PISSED
Unless it's temporary for the time being, we all gonna miss Rogue iconic yellow and green suit especially due to her famous "scene" from the original series (the one with Apocalypse)
Magneto's been waiting so many seasons to finally say "SHUT UP" to Charles, and for good reason. Charles has no justifiable argument here this time. He was away when all the chaos happened. Magneto did try to do things the Charles way but it failed. Imagine if both Charles and Magneto were united in making Genosha a great place.
Say what you want about Magneto, but he genuinely tried to do things Xavier’s way. How many genocides does the man have to live through before it’s understandable?
One thing I really liked about the episode is that Xavier justifies Magneto’s viewpoint to President Kelly. If I were holding a child and saw him vaporized before me after reassuring him not to be afraid, I would be hard-pressed to resort to Magneto’s methods. Even worse is that it isn’t the only driving force for him - just the latest tragedy in a long, long list.
Gotta say at this point I'm with magneto with the massacre at genosha, and now the prime sentinels mutants are quickly becoming an endangered species at some point, even Charles has to ask whose lives matter more not to mention he says the world rules magneto he said so himself the world has done nothing but prove his worst fears true over and over again for no reason other than being born different
Turn the power back on and the X-Men succeed, the Prime Sentinels will slaughter Gold Team, and war will wage. Don't turn on the power, war will remain on the horizon. I don't agree with Magneto's methods, but I still say he was right.
...He's supposed to turn the power on AFTER they defeat Bastion. They reiterated this like fifteen times.
And then all life on earth dies, so yeah so much for him being _"right"_ @anfermo804
@@BleakwoodProductionsBro I understood that, but with the way things are going they are screwed. Charles was ready to flip the switch without some type of OK from Gold Team. If he did that the Prime Sentinels would be hot on their asses and there ain't a damn thing they can do.
On a side note Magneto killed my theory of Leech being alive, as well as him being experimented on for his power nullifying ability.
And the earth dies within the hour because Magneto’s a genocidal dick.
genosha proved he was right the future already proofs he right mutant might makes right

That was freaking hilarious
i've been having this theory about how Magneto been able to levatate/fly, other than generating magnetic fields. his outfit is fitted with lite magnetic metals in his boots, gauntlets gorget collar, and maybe woven into his cape too. any thoughts on this, with respect, would be welcome.
I was always expecting someone to tell "shut up" straight up to wheels.
It's official Magneto will not listen and ended with two words.
Shouldn’t listen. Charles talks a lot, but doesn’t accomplish very much.
What I like about this confrontation is it highlights the flaws in Charles' approach: his argument doesn't really change or evolve that much in response to what happens around him. Sure, it does change a little but at its core its still the same "we have to be the bigger people, take the high road etc." It's nice sentiment that I generally agree with but we've seen time and again that a very large part of humanity doesn't want to listen, which renders Charles' speeches kinda useless (what's the point of a speech if nobody listens?).
Magneto's argument isn't just "they've killed thousands of us so I'm justified in killing thousands of them" it's "I tried your way, I tried to take the high road and it lead to thousands of innocent people dying, people who put their trust in me to protect them. Your way isn't working so wtf am I supposed to do? Keep preaching for peace and begging for tolerance while thousands of people die?" Obviously turning off the magnetosphere is a really bad thing (remember it's what protects us from solar flares), but you can't help but feel bad for him, he probably blames himself for the deaths on Genosha and feels like the only thing he can do is retaliate and fight for the other mutants.
The heart wants to believe in Xavier's dream but the mind, history and reality say that Magneto is right. The truth is that humanity never learns from its mistakes and is never kind to those who are different or think differently. It's true that Bastion is the villain who manipulated everyone but the truth is that he just knows how human nature works. Humans allowed and funded the creation of Sentinels and world leaders turned a blind eye to Bastion's atrocities because they feared mutants. In the same way, it is not as if a Utopia with only mutants would have peace, after all, Mutants are humans, so there would be prejudice and wars even in a mutant society.
The webtoon unOrdinary is effectively what a mutant exclusive world would be. And it's every bit as terrifying as you'd imagine.
House of M already proved you to right. Mutants were the dominant species and humans were a minority treated like second class citizens.
Peter Parked had to pass as a mutant to have better chances at life.
The issue with Xavier's plan as noble as it is, is that it hopes that non mutants would stop being bigoted or try to kill them or experiment on them. That nobody in the government or in power won't try anything to get rid of them. And even if they were manipulated and lied to, it still doesn't excuse that they still enabled monsters.
