I get your point and it‘s good but still I watched the ending several times and I‘m annoyed by the fact that it‘s robin in the end (my opinion pls don‘t hate!!) 1. Robin and Barney just fit they just did. They both had things in common and if you look back robin loved him! Although I like the ending more where barney gets a daughter (that one touched me soo much) still they were supposed to be together after my opinion 2. If Robin was the one, she shouldn‘t have rejected ted so many times. It didn‘t work out for them, but it did with the mother! I loved tracy and ted together because they loved each other very much. Could be possible that after Tracy unfortunately died ted should move on that‘s really good of him to try, but Robin isn‘t the one and was never the one (still my opinion) Tracy was the one and only but when she died well you sometimes have to move on 3. What annoys me the most is the reaction of the kids!! I mean yeah it‘s been six years but it‘s still there mom! I feel like their reaction is just like „yeah I don‘t care I mean it was my mom but whateveeer“ so like as if their mom didn‘t mean anything to them (again my opinion) but whatever everyone thinks different about the ending have a nice day❤️💋💋💋

@@TheZohan907 someone had to say it. Himym is better than friends.. Still I would not call friends a diarrhea soup. Mondler was best thing to happen to it. Joey and rachel arc was wort. Still it was a great show
Yeah like mentioned in the actual video, they are only looking at incidents explained in the show, even if they were included in the deleted scenes, they even mention how it's answered in the deleted scenes when they are talking about it.
In the episode Daisy, it was established that Captain Von Smoot liked to place a pineapple on his doorstep as a tradition. They found the pineapple on his door in the Farhampton home and he says he also had one in front of his house in Manhattan, but it disappeared. In the bumper, it showed Ted, incredibly drunk from The Pineapple Incident episode, taking the pineapple from the Captain's door, but he didn't remember because he was so inebriated.
Because it is wrong. Ted said they did not find out. The deleted scene that everypone thinks about is worthless. 50-year old Ted knows more than 30-year old Ted. The only way to make it work is to retcon it/accepta plothole.
Marshall did save the world - he had that court case against the poisoning of the lake and won, even though the defense only had to pay a tiny sum. That's what inspired him to become a judge, but he'd already done his part. They implied in flashforwards and/or fantasies that the lake represented impending doom. Also, Ted didn't rush to marry Tracy because the whole lesson of HIMYM is that meeting the person you'll marry doesn't happen in any kind of linear fashion - life doesn't work like that and it'll take you through so many detours that he figured out by the end that most of his ideas and preconceptions of what it would look like were useless. So now that he had found the real thing, he could throw away any notions of following a 'plan' and a constructed timeframe.
Jay Richardson, yeah it was planned from then beginning. Which makes sense. It’s called how I “met” your mother, not “how I fell in love with and married her”, so we were never going to spend much time with the mother. In that context, it makes sense that the whole show was really just Ted trying to get approval from his kids to be with Robin. Because the vast majority of the show isn’t at all about the mother.
7:51 Oh, that one's easy. She had Plot Related Disease, where someone is unceremoniously killed off because the plot demanded she died. Another fictional character that famously suffered from this disease was Tara Maclay from Buffy.
holy shit that would have been an..... wait for it................awesome idea......oh right you were expecting me to say "legendary", well there it is lol
The only unanswered question in my mind is what the hell happened in the writers minds and they ruined the series with the stupidest finale in TV history. Killing the mother we all waited to see and know better for all those years like she ment nothing for the story and have Ted run after Robin again after so many years even they had broke up from a relationship that couldn’t work... A real mystery. ....
I started watching the show on Netflix when season 5 was out and seeing it from the beginning helped make it my favorite show. I'm so glad that after all these years, I get to re-live it with Watch Mojo. P.S., I have every season on DVD cuz, extras.
This video could be better, I know some of these #5, They waited so long because she was pregnant and “wanted to fit into her dress” when they got married, and then were too focused on their kids to get married. #4, He was mugged by a person and just changed his story to stop lily getting a gun, but kept changing because they were teasing him for it. #1 The pineapple was taken from the captains house as he leaves one outside his house for hospitality, ted found it funny and took it. There are so many more unanswered questions, this whole video was half-assed
Yeah exactly, 5 and 4 were very obvious as both were explicitly stated especially 5 where it's not even trying to play a trick on the viewer they literaly tell you what it was. And 4 was quite obvious Marshall was mugged by a person but kept changing the story for Lily but I can understand why someone might get confused
#5 Is not really a mystery. They waited so long, because they didn´t need to do it so quickly. Watching that Video, and so many mother scences in it, reminds me what a great show it would have been when the mother got part of the gang...
As far as I can remember, Lily and Marshall did not go to Rome because Marshall became a judge and Lily thought it was his turn to follow his dreams this is because Lily already tried to follow her dreams that cost her and Marshall to break up. As for the cockamouse I heard that it was somewhat true, it was based on the director's experience.
Actually the pineapple thing was answered in a deleted scene. I believe the captain kept a pineapple outside his house in New York, some sailor tradition and something and when Ted was drunk he just took it.
I remember how in season 3 Barney mentions that Gary Blauman, a former co-worker of his, died. Yet, in season 9 a whole episode is dedicated to him. With the original actor and it plays in the present??
Am I the only one that wonders how Barney couldn't drive a car at the start series but then they show him driving one and even speeding when he accepts the challenge to not get a ticket?
Another one is that Marshall and Lily placed a bet on ted if he would end up with Robin and when he got married Marshall gave Lilly the money for winning the bet but did Lily give the money back to Marshall because Ted actually ended with Robin.
Another deleted scene. There was a scene shot showing Marshal in his 2030 make-up with Lily. Marshal is getting off the phone with Ted, presumably letting him know that he and Robin were together. Lily gave Marshal the money while he sang one of his made up songs about winning the bet.
The point of not showing Barney's daughters mom is that Barney has had a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG string of heartbreak from girls and that his daughter is the only girl who he can love unconditionally who wont hurt him (at least not the same way as all the women in his life). So the mother doesnt matter, its not important to Barney so it's unimportant to the story :3 I like how he just calls her #31. It's a lot better than it seems
The captain told Ted about a tradition for sailors to leave a pineapple out as as a sign of generosity or something. So drunk Ted went to this building and took it off the steps and took it home.
what confused me is that in an episode future robin says “and that’s how i met your father” to her kids in reference to barney, but later it’s after they divorce that barney has his first kid
Sometimes I wonder if people don’t go back and re-watch the show or if they don’t watch the episodes all the way through, a lot of these things can be explained in the episode at self. At the end of this episode Robin explains that she can’t have kids and even out Wright says that they are imaginary.
Ted took the pineapple from "the captain's" door step in one of his houses in the city.. apparently it is an old captain tradition to leave pineapples at the door or something..
What if Disney buys cbs in the future and marvel connects Maria Hills storyline to himym and explain why she didn't want a baby.Just kidding, but marvel can do anything.
Ted and Tracy married after a while as they wanted to get married in a grand manner in a French castle. But after a while, they just didn't care, they just wanted to get married.
I think the reason the writers only showed the bare minimum of Lily in Italy is because of all the positive things she got throughout the series, more often than not stuff she got a win over Marshall, primarily the fact that she got her dream of living in abroad before he could become a judge right after he pulled the “you left me to go to San Francisco” card. Lily got her way a lot in the series, her way wasn’t always good but she still got it. By not detailing Lily in Italy it balances things. Also Ted was busy in New York so he doesn’t know the details of Rome
Finale was actually genius , if you really think about it , People don't like it Beacuse it's very realistic , Life is like that , HIMYM has always been to its core like this , Dark and cruel life events and lessons wraped in a positive fun environment . The creators of HIMYM should really be respected and appreciated for how big of a risk they took for such a risky ending and not just giving a fairy tale ending .
Mugger or monkey? Easy, mug. Marshall told the gang he got mugged as a normal story, but then Lily got scared and wanted to buy a gun ( I think it was a gun). To dissuade Lily of that idea, Marshall said he was mugged by a monkey. He even denied that while Lily was off but as the episode continued he had to alternate between stories. However, the true story is that Marshall was mugged by a mugger.
7:51 It''s coronavirus. The setting is in 2020. They're in the middle of quarantine. That's why Ted has a lot of time to tell the story to the kids. It's all checked out.
I wish there was a season just before final season completely dedicated to the Mother, which shows the journey of the Mother in the last 8 years and how she could have met Ted in those 8 years if the fate wanted it to..
The end of the series was good, for the simple reason that during all seasons they show you that life is not always a fairy tale, it has its ups and downs and also from the first season give clues that the mother is dead... So, the biggest unanswered question should be, why the people who saw the series from the beginning to the end don't accept that fact?
Because in end it still have a fairytale ending with the same big romantic gesture 20 yrs later. No 2 people who worked so hard to be together would give up on their marriage in 3 yrs. No 2 thirty something people, if they really truly loved each other and even lived together as friends would be stupid enough to marry different people and after a divorce and death and 20 yrs later get together through same shit gesture. And in real life no people who can't even live together in same house without getting so annoyed with each other's habits would even work 20 yrs later. If someone really want something (specifically a relationship) no one would reject a person as many times as Robin did Ted. No children would react to Ted's story and his subsequent going back to Robin that way in 'real life'. I get it has been 6 yrs but still the way the kids talk it doesn't even seem that they liked their mother. Life is not always good but for it to be real it doesn't need to be bad either.
Alberto Rivera I don’t know man, giving ted an amazing wife who gave him his dream and just casually erase her so ted could also get robin? It doesn’t get more fairy tale than that
One that always bothered me was that Ted makes a reference to Robin becoming a bull fighter then he said "That's a good story kids, I'll get to that." And then he never gets to that.

I get your point and it‘s good but still I watched the ending several times and I‘m annoyed by the fact that it‘s robin in the end (my opinion pls don‘t hate!!)
1. Robin and Barney just fit they just did. They both had things in common and if you look back robin loved him! Although I like the ending more where barney gets a daughter (that one touched me soo much) still they were supposed to be together after my opinion
2. If Robin was the one, she shouldn‘t have rejected ted so many times. It didn‘t work out for them, but it did with the mother!
I loved tracy and ted together because they loved each other very much. Could be possible that after Tracy unfortunately died ted should move on that‘s really good of him to try, but Robin isn‘t the one and was never the one (still my opinion) Tracy was the one and only but when she died well you sometimes have to move on
3. What annoys me the most is the reaction of the kids!! I mean yeah it‘s been six years but it‘s still there mom! I feel like their reaction is just like „yeah I don‘t care I mean it was my mom but whateveeer“ so like as if their mom didn‘t mean anything to them (again my opinion)
but whatever everyone thinks different about the ending have a nice day❤️💋💋💋
@@filiznisaoeztuerk8473 1.They never did, that's why they broke in matte of weeks.
2.She rejected Ted once,Ted rejected her multiple times. And the reason she rejected him was because she can't have kids.
3.This is the second time Ted's telling the story,of course they are going to be annoyed.
Akshai Raj ok but I don‘t get the last point? like what do you mean?
@@filiznisaoeztuerk8473 Future Ted already told his kid how he met their mother and it was shown in season 3(the shorter version). This is the second time he is telling the story.
speaking italian with minimum effort, it cracks me everytime
Best SITCOM ever closely followed by Friends. Why do people hate the ending it's unique, has a deep meaning, sad and it really gets you. I love it.
Aditya Dutta they hated the ending because it ended and they wanted more so they think of other ways how it would end
Yesss thankyou.....
Himym is one of those shows I didn't really watch when it was on CBS cause I didn't think it would be that interesting but after watching it for the past few years I realized it's actually pretty good I've seen almost every episode at least 10 times. The only show that's better is the Big Bang Theory
Aditya Dutta HIMYM was solid from beginning to end, Friends start out solid and turns into a soupy bowl of diarrhea after season 5
@@TheZohan907 someone had to say it. Himym is better than friends..
Still I would not call friends a diarrhea soup. Mondler was best thing to happen to it. Joey and rachel arc was wort. Still it was a great show
I Love How I Met Your Mother it's one of the best shows I've ever watched 😄
Kerron Edwards facts. top 3 for me
The characters, story and how they tell. Nothing can top it, at least for me.
Yess it is
They betrayed me at the end. Barney deserved better. That's a no from me.
The first 5 seasons were great. Then it went downhill very fast..
Did they ever explain what happened to the goat? I can't remember
No, no they didn't.
Was taken to an animal sanctuary
Gotta eat somehow
Didn t it fight Ted?
It was from Lily's kindergarten class
They did answer the Pineapple Incident. Search for it.
That's true, it's explained in a deleted scene on the DVD.
WatchMojo stated that even if those unanswered questions were explained in deleted scenes, they didn't count since they are not canon.
Yeah like mentioned in the actual video, they are only looking at incidents explained in the show, even if they were included in the deleted scenes, they even mention how it's answered in the deleted scenes when they are talking about it.
Yeah, just never canonically. They deleted the scene cause it contradicted what Ted said before.
If you have to search for it then they didn't really answer it I'd say😂
Everybody in the comments be like "they answered pineapple incident" but no one is telling how...
ua-cam.com/video/dqf-tLCPpY4/v-deo.html
It is a marine tradition to leave apple at door. So imagine who left a pineapple at the door.
It was taken from the Captain's beach house.
The ending of the show ruined everything. It should be called how I finally got Robin
She didn't fucking go with Barney tf
I agree and I wish the show went for another season so we could get attatched to Trudy
@@dannyboy132100 *Tracy
I mean, you should've seen that from season one
Jay Richardson, yeah it was planned from then beginning. Which makes sense. It’s called how I “met” your mother, not “how I fell in love with and married her”, so we were never going to spend much time with the mother. In that context, it makes sense that the whole show was really just Ted trying to get approval from his kids to be with Robin. Because the vast majority of the show isn’t at all about the mother.
It was an amazing show but unfortunately they screwed up the end completely. The last season was weak
Not the whole last season c'mon man you gotta give season 9 credit for being the 2nd most emotional season after season 8
7:51 Oh, that one's easy. She had Plot Related Disease, where someone is unceremoniously killed off because the plot demanded she died. Another fictional character that famously suffered from this disease was Tara Maclay from Buffy.
Most people assumed it was the bullet wound that killed her but clearly it was a disease
@@Bobbadelic the bullet was actually coated in a thin layer of disease (a non-specified one), so she died of disease. Truly sad.
I don't miss my ex as much I miss this show
A amazing twist plot of "How I met Your Dad" would've been that the mom who tells the story gets to the finale revealing it was Barney...
I assumed 31 would have been the star of How I Met Your Dad, but it was never made.
They said that it(How I Met Your Father) will be made too, not sure when lol. It's been long time.
Yeah they’ve tried three times. The first time they actually filmed a pilot I think and CBS passed. The second and third time nothing came out of it.
holy shit that would have been an..... wait for it................awesome idea......oh right you were expecting me to say "legendary", well there it is lol
The female version of Barney playing 31 haha, would've been awesome
The only unanswered question in my mind is what the hell happened in the writers minds and they ruined the series with the stupidest finale in TV history. Killing the mother we all waited to see and know better for all those years like she ment nothing for the story and have Ted run after Robin again after so many years even they had broke up from a relationship that couldn’t work...
A real mystery. ....
8:04
It's a hint to her death cause she won't get to see her daughter's wedding
Marshall was mugged by a robber, and Ted did ride the tricycle
How do you know about the Marshall one?
For God's sake, who was the Wang guy?
Me
I started watching the show on Netflix when season 5 was out and seeing it from the beginning helped make it my favorite show. I'm so glad that after all these years, I get to re-live it with Watch Mojo. P.S., I have every season on DVD cuz, extras.
I've accepted the deleted scene of Ted finding out how he got the pineapple as canon.
This video could be better, I know some of these
#5, They waited so long because she was pregnant and “wanted to fit into her dress” when they got married, and then were too focused on their kids to get married.
DID BARNEY SLEEP WITH TED'S MOM?!
no, they just kissed but he got thrown out trying to have sex with her. its explained in unpause
Barney gets “truth serum drunk” and says he “got thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double”
;)
What if Tracy's doppelganger is that bass player that Ted got matched with and said he didn't want to meet and we never got to see the face of
Yeah, I got a question. _Why did that final season waste so much of my time?!_ _Why does it exist if that's all it was going to do?_
I've never thought about Tracy having a doppelganger that is a great question!
Actually the pineapple thing was answered in a deleted scene. I believe the captain kept a pineapple outside his house in New York, some sailor tradition and something and when Ted was drunk he just took it.
Correct!
The pineapple incident was explained by the captain! It was a sign of hospitality. The pineapple that drunk Ted had belonged to the captain.
Did Ted ride the tricicle!?!?!?!?
I remember how in season 3 Barney mentions that Gary Blauman, a former co-worker of his, died. Yet, in season 9 a whole episode is dedicated to him. With the original actor and it plays in the present??
it was obviously irony
He was joking, Bonnie often over exaggerate stories, he was obviously over exaggerating it to prove a point to Ted.
I am never cared about the pineapple the answer was obvious someone either gave it to him or he stole it it was one of the two take your pick
Probably, she had too.
Another deleted scene. There was a scene shot showing Marshal in his 2030 make-up with Lily. Marshal is getting off the phone with Ted, presumably letting him know that he and Robin were together. Lily gave Marshal the money while he sang one of his made up songs about winning the bet.
ua-cam.com/video/8F5U9XNBZ4M/v-deo.html
they didnt know it just happened
The point of not showing Barney's daughters mom is that Barney has had a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG string of heartbreak from girls and that his daughter is the only girl who he can love unconditionally who wont hurt him (at least not the same way as all the women in his life). So the mother doesnt matter, its not important to Barney so it's unimportant to the story :3 I like how he just calls her #31. It's a lot better than it seems
It's been 4 years and I'm still mad.
Hey @WatchMojo You forgot two really important one
What is Carls surname?
Who was Mark?
Still waiting for season 10 or a spinoff :p
The captain told Ted about a tradition for sailors to leave a pineapple out as as a sign of generosity or something. So drunk Ted went to this building and took it off the steps and took it home.
I think number 3 answer is that ted poison her when he found out barney and robin are divorced
That's dark
Well, considering everything he had to go through for nothing ...
what confused me is that in an episode future robin says “and that’s how i met your father” to her kids in reference to barney, but later it’s after they divorce that barney has his first kid
Robin never had kids it was just her imagination
I swear to God they made a video just like this already
Football Is Life yeah, they are braindead at that office
The pineapple was solved in a deleted scene. Ted took it from outside of the captain's apartment.
8:10
So that's why Ted was crying. I never understood that at all until now.
What about the episode when Robin is talking to her kids? Where did they come from
Sometimes I wonder if people don’t go back and re-watch the show or if they don’t watch the episodes all the way through, a lot of these things can be explained in the episode at self.
8:08 me being the young, innocent fool when I first watched it thought Ted was crying because they had run out of stories =(
do we deserve another season? yes. 100% yes.
Man... Im still pissed that they didnt show if ted had the the tricycle or not!! Could anyone shed some light on d topic.
Nilesh Dungdung he rode tricycle, you can tell by his face when he opens the door
Here's a question. How did I convince myself that the ONLY reason I ever watched this show was Neil Patrick Harris?
Halfway through this, I realize I don’t care about any of this.
Barney and robin should've ended up at the end
And ted should've ended up with Victoria after mother dies
But why was the pineapple?
That is so true
Mugger or monkey? Easy, mug.
Marshall told the gang he got mugged as a normal story, but then Lily got scared and wanted to buy a gun ( I think it was a gun). To dissuade Lily of that idea, Marshall said he was mugged by a monkey. He even denied that while Lily was off but as the episode continued he had to alternate between stories. However, the true story is that Marshall was mugged by a mugger.
Love the show but the last episode is awful
Striker92 it made sense but it wasn’t handled well
The pineapple was revealed in a deleted scene from season 9. This scene is in the Netflix version of the show therefore it is cannon
How I Met Your Mother was great I wish it never ended.. I've learned so many life lessons from this..
More of these, and more how i met your mother
What was the name of the third Marshall and Lilly’s baby?
*Lily
Who is the woman Ted was supposed to meet thanks to love solutions in season 1 ?
Tracy maybe
DID SENIOR JUSTICA FORSHADOW MARSHALL BECOMING A JUDGE
You forgot one.. what word did ted call lily that made her so upset? It clearly wasnt "grinch".
I think that we should appreciate the journey and forget the ending
Probably Tracy died of cervical cancer, because worldwide the symbol of the fight against this type of cancer is the yellow ombrella
Top 1 Question: HOW COULD THEY DO THAT TO US!? WHY? I SINCERELY LOVED TRACY MCCONNELL.
7:51 It''s coronavirus. The setting is in 2020. They're in the middle of quarantine. That's why Ted has a lot of time to tell the story to the kids. It's all checked out.
Nah, thought of that, too, but she'd be intubated.
Pure genius!
When I first saw the title of this video I got really confused and worried for a second
Kids, meanwhile in an alternate universe this top 10 list was season 10
I watched this series like 100 times
It doesn’t get more fairy tale than that
The pineapple incident was explained in the show, he stole it from The Captain. Deleted scene or not, it is canon enough for me.
THE PINEAPPLE?!?!!??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
about the Pineapple later when ted meets trudy again you see a flash back where the have a pineapple.
