Since I started bingeing your channel, you've inspired me to make an excel spreadsheet of everything I've bought in my problem Beautiful Things category this year. Your confessional Sephora Spending series is what specifically spurred this. It was surprising, embarrassing, and painful to create my own list. It also showed me that my spending absolutely aligned with a dip in mental health. It has allowed me to make a projection and apply a budget to the second half of my year, with the goal of approximately halving my spending and alleviating my shopping behaviours. Thank you for continuing to do what you do x
I just wanted to say i absolutely love the new incarnation of your shag cut, its so sleek and chic but still beautifully edgy, really suits you😍Anyone else kinda over bronzer? Except when Hannah says " look at me reviewing bronzer"....then I love it lol
I am a 53 y/o tan girl NC40-41 and yet am obsessed with HLP. You have single handedly made me love what I have. Even your ‘new’ reviews make me love my existing makeup more. I pretend I am HLP and as I touch, swatch and use my existing makeup, words like ‘juicy’, ‘textured’ ‘carefully messy’ coming into my head 😛. The only thing I bought based off your review was the Rephr moisturizer. My no buy July is going well, zero desire to buy anything.
I admire the fact that Rose Inc uses reusable/refillable packaging. I wish more brands would do it. Especially drug store brands that seem to inflate the amount of packaging you get per product. Re: the orange bronzer, I lived in Ireland in the mid 90s for a while and it was the beginning of bronzer boom. A nation full of very fair women wearing orange bronzer...it was not a great look.
I have 3 lipsticks from Rose Inc and now I want them all. I work 12 hour shift, and don't have the time to re-apply lipstick that much, but with these, after they dry down they also leave a beautiful tint on the lips, even after eating greasy food. Love the longevity on these, the colours are beautiful.
Just popping in to say that I love your phrasing of “ Love thinking about make up and have a morbid curiosity,..” that is me to the T. Most likely not gonna buy a bronzer, but always interesting to hear thoughts and reviews of any product.
I’ve seen a few people say the new Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer has a fairly “green” undertone. Especially the lightest one. Might be worth you taking a peak 😉
I can confirm and it’s an amazing formula too. The only one I would recommend more than that is the Makeup by Mario enhancing balm in light medium. Not the light Hannah. Actually I should direct this to Joe. Joe buy her the Enhancing Balm in Light Medium. It’s the best thing I’ve bought all year.
Hannah - check out the nyx wonderstick in fair. I think you will like it. I am fair/cool. Bronzers that lean orange or too warm will automatically pull more orange on me. The nyx stick in fair is decently neutral. It doesn’t pull orange on me at all. It’s also cheap - it comes with a highlighter, but I don’t use it. I think you will like it for sure. They had these sticks before, but not in the fair shade. I have the older one in light medium - which I also really like. But this one is lighter and I think it would work really well for you!
Hannah, I so love your lamp...especially the awesome shade! Just came across your videos as you were preparing to move. I love your chill vibe and your honesty ! Thank you for your hard work for us!
When someone reviews a product, I can never see what they describe. I have to take them at their words. But this time, I really saw. That was some orange bronzer! I could never pull it off. Thank you so much for your review !
Thank you for this calm and wonderful video today, Hannah! I'm currently doing my makeup to get ready to propose my master's thesis over zoom and having your video to keep me company is doing wonders to soothe my pre-presentation jitters.
ahaha, I will let him know! Yes these chapter titles were definitely my utilitarian doing, LOL! I happened to be the one who edited this video so he didn't have the inside scoop. But hopefully he will rise to future occasions :)
Makeup Math ahead! I was curious and the Rose Inc Highlight with case is more expensive than the Salt NY Creme Tint Pro Highlighter *but* if you buy just the refill pan, it’s actually cheaper per oz! Rose Inc (pan + compact): $176/oz Rose Inc (just pan): $90/oz Salt Ny (just pan): $106/oz)
I didn’t even get the bronzers because I knew the lightest shade was too warm for me. I love the cream highlight, it’s one of my new favorites! I do agree that it’s a dryer cream. I think if you apply it with your fingers and allow your fingers to warm up the products a bit, it looks amazing. It still does give that cream highlighter look to the skin without being sticky or tacky. I love that there is no glitter, just a natural pretty pearl.
Have you tried any of the Rituel de Fille cream products? I loveee their cream highlighters - the color selection is so unique they all have a bit of a shift. Their concealer/ethereal veil is also one of my all time fav products I feel like you would love!
So probably totally random thought, but my first thought when the bronzer was a different size was how cool that someone visually impaired could tell the difference
I recently got that highlighter in the shade glancing for my continued search for a replacement for that old holika holika highlighter and I seriously love its rosy bronze shade finally found something that fills that spot for me
I've been looking for a "wet look" cream highlighter for ages and I was very close to buying this highlighter last week with some Space NK points. I'm so happy I didn't do that now 😅 I'm still on the hunt, I might try the Lisa Eldridge one when my budget allows, but I really do prefer products that are in Pan form...
They aren't in pan form but the RMS living luminzer seems very similar to the look and texture of these highlighters. Technically a cream but feels dry and has a wet look shine. But it looks good at all times imo.
Wow, Besotted looks so different on you than it does on me! On me it turns more of your old chewed bubblegum blush color. It's my most nude lipstick because of that, more nude than the actual nude shades I bought.
Omg just as I was aimlessly scrolling, hoping for something to watch - I see this! Always *love* your reviews, they feel like more than just noise (if that makes sense)
I actually returned the bronzer. It was orange on my light neutral slightly yellow undertone. I quickly resembled an oompah loompah. Not becoming. I had great hopes. For whatever reason I found the lipstick to feel quite drying. That and the fact it feels heavy on my lips means I rarely reach for it. It was very disappointing.
Nothing worse than when a bronzer leaves us looking like we left the chocolate factory. I’m fair/cool and most bronzers pull orange on me. It’s so frustrating. I will suggest - the nyx wonderstick in fair might be right up your alley. Or nars laguna 01. That one is more warm than the nyx. But that nyx stick - I’m REALLY enjoying. I don’t draw it on my face, worried about lifting, I just run my brush over the tip of it. I don’t use the highlighter end, but for the price, I don’t mind using half the product.
I love the very natural but enhanced lip colors by Rose Inc, but I've found that they pill up badly after about 4-5 hours. I prefer lipsticks that naturally fade with our clumping up, but they are difficult to find. My favorite lip product right now is the Ilia lip balm in the shade Runaway. It fades so naturally but leaves a nice stain behind.
That explains why a lot of bronzers look so orange on me with my olive skin. I really have to go for a veryyyy neutral bronzer, or something that is supposed to be a contour as bronzer
The flower beauty heatwave luminous bronzer comes in two shades, and one of them is pretty cool toned and rosy. I don’t recall the shade name off the top of my head. It works almost as a dual blush and bronzer product for me. Granted, my skin isn’t quite as fair as yours (I’m light rather than fair) but I think the tone would work for you if you use a light hand 🥰
First off, your hair is perfection! Second, and totally random to this video, I bought Gone Griege on your recommendation and LOVE! Also bought Wet n Wild Casmere (brown), very similar and only $1(Breeze is that milky peachy coral you've mentioned too)🖤
Orange bronzers are my personal makeup nightmare.😬. But recently I’ve become obsessed with bronzer and bough the CT cream bronzer, Huda Tantour and Nars cream bronzers. Just one reason I did a No Buy July with you this month. But I love their cool neutral or rosy undertones. Luckily I could tell from pictures that the Rose Inc bronzer would pull orange and steered clear.
I have Pearl from Salt NY, and have been eyeing this new concealer from Rose Inc. Thanks so much for letting me know they're basically the same. I'll reach for my Salt NY instead of picking up this new product. Thanks so much!
The bronzer doesn’t seem to be refillable, is that true? It’s so annoying because Salt New York doesn’t deliver to the UK anymore and I’ve nearly finished my bronzer. I want another magnetic pan of bronzer and am struggling to find one!
As a fellow pale person who has struggled for decades finding what works in terms of color complexion cosmetics ( I pretty much didn't wear foundation of any kind for 20 years & tried a kazillion blushes that were too orange/brown or too cool/light pink etc) It's not always the depth of color--how dark or light, but the saturation. Many fair/light people need desaturated shades, not super pale cool shades or light golden ones. So our bronzers shouldn't be bright golden tan, they should be slightly taupey, especially if they are supposed to double as contour. Or lean terracotta rosy-brownish. That works too. I followed a couple content creators who specifically gave Pale Girl Advice & recommendations for makeup & often they recommended using taupe brow powder as a contour & tinted face powder a shade or 2 darker as a bronzer for people who were having problems finding good shade matches. Mixers were often discussed too for foundations or using different shades of concealer as liquid contour/bronzer/highlight. With cream products, Idk. Maybe a Kett palette or the Salt NY would be the best way to go since you could theoretically mix your own shades. I'm still researching cream blushes/bronzers. The prices, formulas, finishes, ingredients, etc. There's a lot to consider.
The bronzer is literally the colour orange on your skin and that’s a shame cause it will look the same on me. So hard to find a well formulated bronzer that is the right colour! Also - PLEASE tell me Phytosurgence have sent you the new toasted blushes?! 😍
I actually like the bronzer on you. At least in this video you looked very nice. Then again if it was me I wouldn't want an orange bronze every day. But it is a look for sure.
Listening to you talk about the cream highlighter made me wonder how you apply the Auric liquid highlighter? Usung a brush makes it streaky for me. I use my fingers instead. Do you use a brush, sponge or finger with it?
@@HannahLouisePoston I don't wear foundation so it's always the show. It's blingy but subtle enough that putting a powder blush over top seems to kill the shine.

Hi Hannah! That's a shame about the colour of the bronzer because it otherwise looks like a lovely product. I'm pale like you so this colour wouldn't work on me either. Thanks so much for the review!! Love you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️

I was so excited to try Rose Inc., so i started with a blush. I loved it immensely, so when the highlighters and bronzers were released, i ordered one of each tout de suite. I can not explain the disappointment i felt when i saw that the bronzer was quite a bit larger than the blush and highlighter; this was further exacerbated when i spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to open it. I assumed that it would open in the same way that the other airplane-toilet shaped products opened. (Where is the continuity, Rose Inc.? If i want to be jarred so harshly, i'll watch a cheesy horror movie...) Once i finally got it open, and saw that it was a shade that would only be appropriate for a member of the supporting cast of Willy Wonka, i was done. I gave it to my daughter having only swatched it. I told her she was welcomed to keep it, throw it away, give it to a friend, donate it to science...i didn't care as long as i never saw the thing again.
I have such bad luck with contour and bronzer.... why is it so hard for brands to make shades for fair skin tones without making them so orange or yellow
