arguing which one better is totally useless ... this reaction video is definetely not about competition between both singers I like both the same, but in different perspective - Lara sings out her emotion, and Cakra does it too in male version ... Lara sang in front of large audience with orchestra behind, while Cakra sang it in empty room for cover only - thus making the vibe and emotion different I love Lara's skill, power, and control in singing, but Cakra's husky voice also sounds soothing and warm in my ears ... both are great ❤️❤️❤️ thanks JVB for ure reaction, wish u to react more of video like this 😘🙏
Memang ga ada guna. Tp dgn dia nge ri ek 2 penyanyi sekaligus dgn lagu yang sama, itu kan mengundang perdebatan. Ga semua orang bisa bijak melihat ini. 🙏

Cakra's sad but faint howl near the end sums up the meaning of the song... pain is still there 💔but slowly fading away 🙏 Amazing cover 🥲 Thanks for the reaction 💞
The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian, inspired by a classic piece of Rachmaninoff (Piano Concerto N°2 in C Minor). Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that brought Celine Dion to WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics. Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels). One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests: - Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it), - Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US), - Morissette Amon, - Cakra Khan, - Regine Velasquez, - Almira (from 4th Impact), - Katrina Velarde, - Julie Anne San Jose, - Sarah Geronimo, - Petra Berger, - Harrison Craig, - Rimar, - Jackie Evancho (in AGT), - … Regarding Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning.
Exciting reaction to two magnificent renditions. Great analysis of the voices of these artists. I believe that interaction with the audience is influential in interpretation; despite this, I think Cakra did very well and, Lara, wonderful.
I've heard this song countless times sang by different singers but only one person who brought me into tears and it was Lara Fabian. Her voice hits different and she knows how to convey the meaning and emotions of her own songs. However, when it comes to male versions I like Harrison Craig and Chakra Khan
@@nagawahyudi No hate with Josh Groban or any other male and female singers who cover the song. It's about personal preferences. We have diff preferences, that's why people are Diverse
Lara Fabian , the ""WOW""" girl Lara has a very beautiful strong velvety voice in all her 4.1 octave ranges , very consistent voice an incomparable breath controle. ""Broken vouw"" is covered many times ... But in French she has a few more ''strong" songs that are never ""covered"" because of to difficult Lara was that time in the same record company as Celine Dion. Because of the team behind Celine did every effort tot ruin the carrier of Lara in the US she had no breakthrough in the US like other Canadian singers as Celine Dion and Shania Twain. Lara had also that time not the great manager an very big songwriters behind her as Celine Dion. That is why Lara turned her carrier more in French to Canada, Europ , East Europ and Brazil That is also why she has not a world wide ""english"" hit .....A French song gose very exceptional world wide ....... Good comment and good selection of things to watch. Madamoiselle Zhivago is an amazing creative effort. I would add, to the list her Paris concert of Le Secret in 2013 (on UA-cam). That was a real showcase of her personality and popularity as well as some less well-known songs from the Le Secret album.
Ok i am a big fan of Lara and she is just amazing on this song...as always. But i have To admit that for the first time i like a cover of one of Her song. I didn't know this guy before this video but he did à very good job. I prefer Lara but that was very good. Thanks for this reaction. .
Hi Jacqueline.. Why don't u react one of Cakra's cover songs titled FOREVER MORE ? In that clip u'll see all of Cakra's singing tehnique.. along with his soulfoul to that song itself.. I promise u wouldn't disappointed 😇🙏
She is the Top Female vocaliste in the world, major star in Europe, speaks fluently 4 languages, (Italian, French, English, Spanish) also Russian and Portugese. More than 30millions album sold world wide and almost unknown in the USA, i will let others explain her story, she is now 53 yo and just finished a world Tour in 2022. You now have the Lara-virus, no vaccin, no medication, she sings from her soul to yours....
Conjecture: Married Patrick Jean-François Chouchayan (1998-2000); she wrote this song in 1999 - you do the math! Did not remarry until 2006! Love the Josh Groban version but Lara's performance is stupendous!
Interesting. I didn’t know Cakra Khan (I keep hearing Chaka Khan in my mind). He sounds like Jack Savoretti a little. It’s hard to be compared to the one that wrote the song (specially this one) and still he did a good job.
I listened to this song when I first got my heart broken in 2013 even though there was so much music at the time but it was the only one that matched my feelings and I don't know how I could know the song.. Now, I feel like I'm back in time 🤧
I will post separately details about Lara’s background, career and the huge influence she has on many vocalists from the new generation. But here are my suggestions : Songs she wrote: • Adagio (english version) : ua-cam.com/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/v-deo.html (covered among others by Dimash, Floor Jansen,Dame Shirley Bassey, Il Divo) • You are not from here (english): ua-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/v-deo.html • I guess I loved you (english): ua-cam.com/video/EwI-HIfSyqU/v-deo.html • Je t'aime (french): ua-cam.com/video/l826rlBOn9w/v-deo.html (covered by Polina Gagarina, Giula Falcone, …) . To love again (english): ua-cam.com/video/en9haGSdEUA/v-deo.html When she covers a song, she often makes it her own. Some amazing covers she made: • Je suis malade (french, song from Serge Lama): ua-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/v-deo.html • Caruso (italian, song from Lucio Dalla): ua-cam.com/video/BP2KnLemT78/v-deo.html • Perdere L'Amore (italian, song from Massimo Ranieri): ua-cam.com/video/mcmhCfH9OfQ/v-deo.html • Yentl Medley (Papa can you hear me + A piece of sky, chained , cover of her idol Barbra Streisand, english): ua-cam.com/video/zW8lalHMwxk/v-deo.html • I will always love you (cover of Dolly Parton / Whitney Houston, english): ua-cam.com/video/4f-wx-ue89U/v-deo.html • Love by grace (cover of Wynona Judd): ua-cam.com/video/8V0pGXZxxzE/v-deo.html . Calling You (cover of Jevetta Steele): ua-cam.com/video/KkfXEb_VyLM/v-deo.html
I vote for: Adagio to see that her technique is on another level. "Je suis malade" to see that her emotion sharing is on another level. After that, you are trapped forever 😄😆😁
She is the real beast live. Her performances from the same concert as this song are insane! "Adagio" --> ua-cam.com/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/v-deo.html "Je Suis Malade" in French --> ua-cam.com/video/uGthVEza97U/v-deo.html "You're not from here" --> ua-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/v-deo.html "Perdere l'Amore" in Italian --> ua-cam.com/video/jJ_k43OOsXU/v-deo.html "Caruso" --> ua-cam.com/video/BP2KnLemT78/v-deo.html "Quédate" in Spanish --> ua-cam.com/video/aCeVK5oApf0/v-deo.html
He's not for everybody. I don't care or him at all. But nice reaction. Lara G Fabian is the greatest female voice on planet Earth!!!! AND SHES GORGEOUS !
Lara Fabian is the top in the world to me. Since you like to do comparisons, I would suggest Lara Fabian singing ‘Adagio’ and then Dimash’s redention. These are the first two song performances that I heard while searching to hear what’s going on in the world of singers these days. Finch I learned of Lara and the next thing I heard was Damash singing his version. Most defiantly worth your time to do this, you won’t be disappointed. After this, you might find a double smash performances of two other separate redemptions of the song S.O.S by Dimash and Piet Arion. This is not to compare the two, just to celebrate two wonderful gifts from two very special voices
An obvious comparison to do would be Lara's "Adagio" (from the same concert) and Dimash's Adagio ( from China I think). It has been done before, but your take on it would be interesting.
Sorry, I got the facts all jumbled up. Revisited and discovered that Lara married for the 1st time in 2013, Broke Vow was written in 1999 with Walter Afanassiev. The names listed as relationship on google were strictly relationships not marriages - Walter was not listed as a relationship! Eric Sicard (who seems to be the resident expert on Lara Fabian) stated that Lara was engaged to Walter Afanassiev, an American/Brazilian of Russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as “All I Want for Christmas is You” and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that elevated Celine Dion to Worldwide fame). He is also now the producer for Dimash in the US. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged (not listed on google), but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she made this decision, she knew things would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny since her collaboration with Afanassiev would end!
How many seconds was it into Lara's performance before you had a tinge of regret that you scheduled a double header? To be fair to Cakra, he performed at home with a store bought microphone, and only a piano accompaniment---and about 20 years less experience in singing, and heatbreak. For all of that, he did an exceptional job.
Lara is without doubt the Supreme performer of this song. No-one else comes close!!!
Nobody sings this song like Lara, Tone, diction, riffs, runs, and real heart breaking emotion. This is her story, her song.❤
Of course, nobody sings this song like me as well. Everyone has their own tone, diction, riffs & runs,.😂

arguing which one better is totally useless ... this reaction video is definetely not about competition between both singers
I like both the same, but in different perspective - Lara sings out her emotion, and Cakra does it too in male version ... Lara sang in front of large audience with orchestra behind, while Cakra sang it in empty room for cover only - thus making the vibe and emotion different
I love Lara's skill, power, and control in singing, but Cakra's husky voice also sounds soothing and warm in my ears ... both are great ❤️❤️❤️ thanks JVB for ure reaction, wish u to react more of video like this 😘🙏
Memang ga ada guna. Tp dgn dia nge ri ek 2 penyanyi sekaligus dgn lagu yang sama, itu kan mengundang perdebatan. Ga semua orang bisa bijak melihat ini. 🙏
@@zulkhairuddin5714
Iya sih ... tapi kok rasanya ga fair juga y ?? penonton nya yg g bijak ya itu problem mereka lah 😁🙏 bukan problem yg pny video ... hahaha
btw ... yg aku bingung, ini knp y kok ribet bgt banding²in dua pnyanyi ... y jelas Lara lbh bagus lah, kan dia yg pny lagu ... kalo Lara cover lagunya Cakra, ya sama aja kebalikannya 😂😂😂
Aku nggak setuju. Itu subyektif sifatnya. Buat aku, cakra lebih bagus bawainnya. Aku ga begitu suka lagu broken vow. Buat aku, b aja. Tp begitu dibawain cakra, aku jadi suka. 👍nah kan jadi debat. Udah ga usah dilanjut. Ai lap yu, mba dini😍😍😍
@@zulkhairuddin5714 😂😂😂
eh tapi ini agak penting juga loh ... betapapun cover lebih bagus dari original, "etika" nya si pemilik lagu (original) harus dianggap lbh baik dibanding cover ... inget ga dulu waktu Cakra cover lagu Tennessee Whiskey ... aku sih lbh suka Cakra, tapi fans nya Christ kan jadinya merasa 'insecure' hahaha - aku pernah nonton reaksi nya fans Christ ke Cakra, dijelek²in deh Cakra nya 😂😂😂
Cakra's sad but faint howl near the end sums up the meaning of the song... pain is still there 💔but slowly fading away 🙏 Amazing cover 🥲 Thanks for the reaction 💞
Lara Fabian amazing voice Cakra Khan good voice.
One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests:
- Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it),
- Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US),
- Morissette Amon,
- Cakra Khan,
- Regine Velasquez,
- Almira (from 4th Impact),
- Katrina Velarde,
- Julie Anne San Jose,
- Sarah Geronimo,
- Petra Berger,
- Harrison Craig,
- Rimar,
- Jackie Evancho (in AGT),
- …
Regarding Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning.
Poyok
Exciting reaction to two magnificent renditions. Great analysis of the voices of these artists. I believe that interaction with the audience is influential in interpretation; despite this, I think Cakra did very well and, Lara, wonderful.
The incredible Diction.
Absolutely Amazing Voices! 👍👍
ILOve you
For react Cakra Khan and lara fibian
Please again
I like this song sung by two different singers. It is very beautiful song I think.
Cakra khan..the king of soul and raspy voice..very emotional,i feel it..😓...OMG,cakra🖒
Lara Fabian is just a top notch top tier of a heavenly singer.
Chakra Khan is about to get there too :)
Stunning.
👍👍👍
Cakra Khan from my country Indonesia...love u...🥺👍🇮🇩
What a great reaction!! Yes pls, more Lara!!
Lara is the best. No doubt about that but this guy makes me tears in my eyes.
indeed
Iam agree with you
Lara Febian amazing.Absolutely Cakra Khan The Best singer
I've heard this song countless times sang by different singers but only one person who brought me into tears and it was Lara Fabian. Her voice hits different and she knows how to convey the meaning and emotions of her own songs. However, when it comes to male versions I like Harrison Craig and Chakra Khan
josh groban mean nothing to you?? he cover it too
@@nagawahyudi No hate with Josh Groban or any other male and female singers who cover the song. It's about personal preferences. We have diff preferences, that's why people are Diverse
Beautiful wowww
If there is the best male version of the song, it's must be Chakra.❤
Lara Fabian , the ""WOW""" girl
Lara has a very beautiful strong velvety voice in all her 4.1 octave ranges , very consistent voice an incomparable breath controle.
""Broken vouw"" is covered many times ... But in French she has a few more ''strong" songs that are never ""covered"" because of to difficult
Lara was that time in the same record company as Celine Dion. Because of the team behind Celine did every effort tot ruin the carrier of Lara in the US she had no breakthrough in the US like other Canadian singers as Celine Dion and Shania Twain. Lara had also that time not the great manager an very big songwriters behind her as Celine Dion.
That is why Lara turned her carrier more in French to Canada, Europ , East Europ and Brazil
That is also why she has not a world wide ""english"" hit .....A French song gose very exceptional world wide .......
The next big diva

On top of this all is has Lara Fabian a very beautiful personality
Good comment and good selection of things to watch. Madamoiselle Zhivago is an amazing creative effort. I would add, to the list her Paris concert of Le Secret in 2013 (on UA-cam). That was a real showcase of her personality and popularity as well as some less well-known songs from the Le Secret album.
💜 this isnt about analizing technique only ...this is just to feel our true 💜 .........................
Amazing good song good voice ❤👍👌❤🙏🌹
Thank u again for this heartbreaking episode,JVB💙💘💙Cakra Khan's rendetion of this song is heartwrenching💔💔💔
Cakra very full soul, emotion and technic . 👍🇮🇩
👍👍👍👍👍
Ok i am a big fan of Lara and she is just amazing on this song...as always.
But i have To admit that for the first time i like a cover of one of Her song. I didn't know this guy before this video but he did à very good job. I prefer Lara but that was very good. Thanks for this reaction. .
Cakra is pronounced as Chakra and not Shakra Khan. Lara's voice is magical indeed. Cakra did a fantastic cover in his own way and style!
Hi Jacqueline..
Why don't u react one of Cakra's cover songs titled FOREVER MORE ?
In that clip u'll see all of Cakra's singing tehnique.. along with his soulfoul to that song itself..
I promise u wouldn't disappointed 😇🙏
I love Cakra version , he’s make me cry , lara beautiful too
She is the Top Female vocaliste in the world, major star in Europe, speaks fluently 4 languages, (Italian, French, English, Spanish) also Russian and Portugese. More than 30millions album sold world wide and almost unknown in the USA, i will let others explain her story, she is now 53 yo and just finished a world Tour in 2022. You now have the Lara-virus, no vaccin, no medication, she sings from her soul to yours....
Bec, she is France. 😅
Cakra Khan 💛
Cakra Khan 🤩😍😘
Your next Lara, should be Adagio and Je suis malade . The last as to absolutely be with the subtitles. Live from the same concert of Broken Vow.
next ....Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow - Roberta Flack Version (Cover) by cakra khan
Conjecture: Married Patrick Jean-François Chouchayan (1998-2000); she wrote this song in 1999 - you do the math! Did not remarry until 2006! Love the Josh Groban version but Lara's performance is stupendous!
Cakra Khan is the best singers number one from Indonesia gendre pop.... becouse i'm from Indonesia you know
lo ngemeng apa siih🙈
Hahahhah ngakak
in the original version i feel the pain. in cakra khan's version i feel pain and 1001 night vibes
I agree, for me, simplicity is the only way of life. Always has been...
Uuuuuh waw...nice dress..u look beauty ❤...!!?👍👍🥤🇮🇩
I love Cakra Khan...❤
Cakra khan and Lara fabian the best 👍👍❤❤
Cakra 'Whistle voice' for the last song (22:29) .... It's magical💕
Interesting. I didn’t know Cakra Khan (I keep hearing Chaka Khan in my mind). He sounds like Jack Savoretti a little. It’s hard to be compared to the one that wrote the song (specially this one) and still he did a good job.
My first time heard this beautiful song was in Jackie Evancho and David Foster's concert. Little Jackie sang it beautifully as "imaginer".
next Cakra Khan all i ask Adele cover.
Cakra knows make we lost control
I listened to this song when I first got my heart broken in 2013 even though there was so much music at the time but it was the only one that matched my feelings and I don't know how I could know the song..
Now, I feel like I'm back in time 🤧
His vocals are powerful and have a step vocal type character
I will post separately details about Lara’s background, career and the huge influence she has on many vocalists from the new generation.
But here are my suggestions :
Songs she wrote:
• Adagio (english version) : ua-cam.com/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/v-deo.html (covered among others by Dimash, Floor Jansen,Dame Shirley Bassey, Il Divo)
• You are not from here (english): ua-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/v-deo.html
• I guess I loved you (english): ua-cam.com/video/EwI-HIfSyqU/v-deo.html
• Je t'aime (french): ua-cam.com/video/l826rlBOn9w/v-deo.html (covered by Polina Gagarina, Giula Falcone, …)
. To love again (english): ua-cam.com/video/en9haGSdEUA/v-deo.html
When she covers a song, she often makes it her own.
Some amazing covers she made:
• Je suis malade (french, song from Serge Lama): ua-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/v-deo.html
• Caruso (italian, song from Lucio Dalla): ua-cam.com/video/BP2KnLemT78/v-deo.html
• Perdere L'Amore (italian, song from Massimo Ranieri): ua-cam.com/video/mcmhCfH9OfQ/v-deo.html
• Yentl Medley (Papa can you hear me + A piece of sky, chained , cover of her idol Barbra Streisand, english): ua-cam.com/video/zW8lalHMwxk/v-deo.html
• I will always love you (cover of Dolly Parton / Whitney Houston, english): ua-cam.com/video/4f-wx-ue89U/v-deo.html
• Love by grace (cover of Wynona Judd):
ua-cam.com/video/8V0pGXZxxzE/v-deo.html
. Calling You (cover of Jevetta Steele): ua-cam.com/video/KkfXEb_VyLM/v-deo.html
I vote for:
Adagio to see that her technique is on another level.
"Je suis malade" to see that her emotion sharing is on another level.
After that, you are trapped forever 😄😆😁
@@Mickael_ you sum it up all 😀
Next react to song "i'd rather go blind" Etha James. Covered by Cakra Khan. Please
She is the real beast live. Her performances from the same concert as this song are insane!
"Adagio" --> ua-cam.com/video/bqoS-KOLV_4/v-deo.html
"Je Suis Malade" in French --> ua-cam.com/video/uGthVEza97U/v-deo.html
"You're not from here" --> ua-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/v-deo.html
"Perdere l'Amore" in Italian --> ua-cam.com/video/jJ_k43OOsXU/v-deo.html
"Caruso" --> ua-cam.com/video/BP2KnLemT78/v-deo.html
"Quédate" in Spanish --> ua-cam.com/video/aCeVK5oApf0/v-deo.html
After Lara , trying to listen to someone else singing the same song is very difficult.
Agreed
Don't be dramatic... I still can enjoy other musician after hear her singing 🙄
❤❤
I can't imagine anyone breaking Lara Fabian's heart. Such a beautiful woman with that beautiful voice.
congrats.. so great song and singer .. good job
Good and nice reaction my dear friend ❤️👍
Mantap guys thank you for react
Welcome back JVB sweety.
Cakra khan 😍😍
Wooww lara Fabian
He's not for everybody. I don't care or him at all. But nice reaction. Lara G
Fabian is the greatest female voice on planet Earth!!!! AND SHES GORGEOUS !
No comparison. Lara is the Queen of Emotions.
I love Cakra version , make me cry , Lara version I’m not cry only feel sad , anyway both great
Lara Fabian is the top in the world to me.
Forever more chakra khan next
Lara best female live performer.❤
Wow Keren
Both exceptional but Cakra's rendition gave me goose bumps
⭐NEXT REACTION CAKRA KHAN COVER👍
-A SONG FOR YOU
-A SONG FOR MAMA
Hi Jacq.....you're one of my fav reactor....I see the love the feeling n the emotion while your reaction this....
It was Dimash, Lara, and Aida Garifulina. Ti Amo Cosi was the piece. Epic!
An obvious comparison to do would be Lara's "Adagio" (from the same concert) and Dimash's Adagio ( from China I think). It has been done before, but your take on it would be interesting.
Dimash is from Kazakhstan. But he performed it in one of China singing shows.
Mantaaab...❤
Cakra....Lebih terasa di hati... 😢
I like cakra, his voice is more dynamic.
He shoot our hwart with his whistle for the end
Nobody can match Lara. NOBODY.
She is amazing!
Lara is the compositor BROKEN VOW
Please react Cakra Live Perform with the song "JEALOUS"
You will love it....
💔💔💔💔💔💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏
Oops...waooow!!
Should have reacted to C. Khan, J Goban and Harrison Craig renditions of the song.
Also Amira, Katrina Velarde and Regine Velasquez
@@ericsicard910 right sir
That also what I was about to say
Yes
Cakra khan❤
I enjoyed both versions, But Lara, owened it . Try playing Adagio, by Lara..Paul farina, Florida
This song is more suited for a woman and Lara simply ride the song. Cakra did justice to the song but not as strong as his goo goo dolls cover.
She sings her painful own story, words she wrote when betrayed, so there is much more substance in her interpretation
Nice cover but it's definitely Lara's song.
🎉, 💐💐💖💖
How many seconds was it into Lara's performance before you had a tinge of regret that you scheduled a double header? To be fair to Cakra, he performed at home with a store bought microphone, and only a piano accompaniment---and about 20 years less experience in singing, and heatbreak. For all of that, he did an exceptional job.
Why dont try Mans made world cover by Cakra Khan please?
He sound just like a michael bolton
next reaction, dimas sinopati(i don't want to talk about it) thanks
