  • After the March 2023 timetable revision in Japan, trains arriving and departing one after another at the discharge station (Hanaten Station) on the JR Gakkentoshi Line (Katamachi Line) and Osaka Higashi Line (holidays, evening hours 17:00) until around 19:00). Special limited express "Mahoroba", Gakken Toshi Line rapid, local (stops at every station), Osaka East Line local (stops at every station), and direct rapid trains and freight trains that operate directly between Osaka and Nara on the Osaka East Line and Yamato Line are shown. I'm here.
From this timetable revision, trains on the Osaka Higashi Line started running into Osaka Station. The destination is "Osaka". In addition, the direct rapid train has been changed to 221 series.
The special limited express "Mahoroba" that connects Osaka and Nara is in operation on holidays during this period, and the video shows one bound for Osaka. It will be the first time driving in about two and a half years.
All local and direct rapid trains on the Osaka Higashi Line are operated by the 221 series, and you can see them lined up alongside the 207 series and 321 series on the Gakkentoshi Line at the platform of the release station.
The discharge station is a station where the Gakken Toshi Line and the Osaka Higashi Line, which ran side by side from Shigino Station, diverge, and on the platform with 2 platforms and 4 lines, the first platform is mainly for the Osaka Higashi Line and Kyuhoji, and the second platform is Gakken. You can transfer to a train in the same direction on the same platform, with bus stops for Toshi Line/Kizu, Platform 3 for Osaka Higashi Line/Shin-Osaka, and Platform 4 for Gakkentoshi Line/Kyobashi. (The positions of the Osaka Higashi Line/Upper Line and the Gakken Toshi Line/Kizu area have been switched with Shigino Station.)
The Osaka Higashi Line runs only in the morning and evening, and the video shows a total of three trains, two bound for Nara and one bound for Osaka in the evening on holidays.
On the Gakken Toshi Line, rapid trains bound for Shin-Sanda and Sasayamaguchi also run in the evening on holidays.
The videos are taken alternately from platform 1 and 2 (for Kizu/Kyuhoji) and platform 3 and 4 (for Kyobashi/Shin-Osaka).
