A Chiffon Cake is a type of Foam Cake and it belongs in the same category as Sponge Cakes and Angel Food Cakes. It's a little different than other foam cakes as it contains baking powder, uses both egg yolks and egg whites, and contains a liquid fat. This produces a moist and tender cake that is wonderfully light and spongy. It is excellent plain, but for this recipe we are covering it with a delicious billowy sweet Marshmallow Frosting and toasted coconut. It is sure to become a favorite.

That’s exactly the recipe my mom left me. The hardest part is taking it out. I don’t know how anyone can give you thumbs down. If anyone can do better I would like to see. Your little tricks help with making the cake especially turning it upside down. I have a problem of peeking and opening the oven before done. You are a great teacher and baker. ❤️🙏
This cake turned out perfect and so delicious! I frosted it with a fluffy lemon, light buttercream and ground walnuts. It truly came out amazing. I did use cake flour also.

Sponge cakes are my favorite to make. I love their mild not too sweet taste and also not too many ingredients. This looks delicious. Beautiful cake.
I halved the recipe bc I was scared to fail and waste too many ingredients. Unfortunately, I also forgot to half the cooking time and my cake started to drop in the oven which was a red flag. I took it out and sure enough, the top was completely crispy. I figured that it was ruined but I still turned it upside down. A couple of minutes of cooling and I just decided to scrap some out with a spoon while it was upside down.
It's freaking great. Your recipe is so perfect that even when I practically turn the top of the cake into bacon, the inside was soft, tender, delicate and very tasty. You're amazing! I can't believe it still worked out.
I have already tried this one when I made the strawberry chiffon shortcake and it was excellent! I find chiffon cakes better than angel food cakes because angel food cakes are a bit "sticky" and chiffoncakes aren't. Chiffoncakes also use way less eggs than angel food cakes. I made your angel food cake and I needed 13 Large egg whites (1 1/2 cups), omg! I haven't tried this chiffon cake with a swiss meringue yet, so i'll be making it tomorrow as I always bake on friday :-) thanks for the video and the recipe Stephanie and Rick!

Thank you so much for taking time to share your talent in baking. I tried your the orange chiffon cake and I am so happy to the outcome. It is so soft and fluffy and delicious. I want to make my bday cake and I want to frost it but I don't like to use whipping cream with carrageenan so I will try Swiss Meringue. I always enjoy watching your videos because you explain it very well while demonstrating it.

She, like you, was a fabulous cook and baker. Thank you so much for teaching all of us how to be both, successfully. You are the one I always come to, to make a new recipe. I KNOW everything you make will always turn out beautifully! Nothing is worse than wasting time and money, only to have what you have spent your time on, than a flopped meal/dessert! You're amazing!
Made it for a colleague's birthday today and it's amazing! A big hit. I didn't have a tube pan so I used a bundt tin and that worked just as well. I think toasted almonds would also work well instead of coconut

Can u answer me...y my cake didn't baked from inside ...even tho it puffed up...very well ....but as I removed the lid it got shrinked in a minute.....n was having eggy smell n taste....😖😖 That was the wrost experience n I throwed it..... please tell me ...how to stop it to get shrink...n wat is that upside down method of letting it cool down.... because I don't have mould like her...... because mine got shrinked in jst few minutes.....

I’ve always baked this cake at the wrong temperature, that is, 180 degree Celsius .😅 I just realised that today but it still always turns out to be amazing. Making it again for Mother’s Day.

I baked this cake today and its amazing! Even if you don't like coconut, make the cake. Imagine the flavor of a pound cake with a moist and spongy texture. Great!
