I seems each new version of Cuisinart Coffee Maker needs a different button sequence. IF YOUR CLEAN BUTTON DOES NOT START THE PROCESS, PRESS THE BREW BUTTON DOWN FOR SEVERAL SECONDS AND THEN THE CLEAN BUTTON. THIS SHOULD START THE CLEANING CYCLE. THE MACHINE WILL THEN TURN IRSELF TO 'ON' TO GET STARTED.
This is best video I’ve found for cleaning my Cuisnart coffee system. My single cup pods kept exploding, someone suggested to try cleaning it. I found this video & now everything works perfectly once again! Thank you
You should mention that you need to press the "brew" button before you press the "clean" button. I couldn't figure out why my "clean" button wasn't flashing.
If you followed along and left your charcoal filters in, just pull them out and rinse for a few minutes under hot water. I did and there isn't even the slightest trace of vinegar smell.
Thank you so much for this! I got this coffee maker as a hand-me-down and I don't have instructions or the small home barista part. I didn't even know it existed! You saved my coffee! 😊

I didn't catch it if she mentioned that • to rinse off the single serve, when she said 3 complete times, did she mean 3 full reservoirs or 3 cups? It seemed like she meant 3 reservoirs but just to make sure
I believe she means to fill up the reservoir fully 3 times and run it through. Presumably just to flush out any residual vinegar, so that none of the coffee brewed mixes with it! Yuck!
Great video! I was confused on the part around 6:40, where she begins to run in the cleaning mode, telling us to do this 3 complete times. Does she mean to run three cupfuls or completely drain the reservoir 3 times?

Cuisinart is a great coffee machine I have the older model from this version that's on this video I recommend to anyone that this is the best coffee maker machine on the internet to purchase and plus you can make hot tea and hot chocolate on the other Reservoir side of this machine that's awesome ☺️👍.
I know that if you are using Tap water descaling is a must, but if you want to save time and not do this cleaning! Use Distilled water every time, we never have to clean except for the K cup side. I take that side apart and clean all the parts. put it all back together, and put the distilled water and have a great cup of coffee. Also I never change the filters, because only clean distilled water is used.
So I’m not forced to used the filter?? And can I used purified water or does it have to be distilled??
@@lissethernandez50 Look I said Distilled water, this doesn't have any minerals in it that causes scaling. Distilled water doesn't have any and no filter is needed. I just bought my wife a $3500. Espresso machine and it uses distilled also.
Distilled water has no minerals it that cause scaling. Purified water also has Minerals in it. This is the third time I have told you to use Distilled. Forget the time wasting video, and the cleaning. I wash the water tank every month with baking soda. Wash it out several times and throw away the filter fill the tank, and enjoy a great cup of coffee.
@@georgemacgillis8523 I was using bottled water and the cleaning light came on about a month ago, after using it for a year. I never thought about distilled water. Thanks!!
After cleaning, the coffee maker doesnt brew and not heating. What to do?
My pod doesn't work I cleaned but still don't work ,what can do to fix and work again
Should my single cup reservoir be completely empty when the "Add Water" light comes on? Mines does not do this. The light comes on whenever the water level falls below the "Min Fill" line.
No, it does not need to be empty
Great tutorial. Thanks for the info.
The right side of k-cup water drips while brewing, how to solve?
Beneficial video and obvious intrusions, thank you!
Thank you very much :)
Instead of dumping the vinegar, use it to kill weeds if they're growing. Great for weeds on your patio or any interlocking pavers.
We have cleaned ours several times, but it is stuck on the clean cycle. The red light won't go off. Any suggestions?
Hi Steve, Please email MarketingCommunications@cuisinart.com so we can better assist you.
i did the clean cycle with just the water after the vinegar water mixture but ii'll do the brew water only just in case
thanks! Parents just gave me their old one. I don’t think they ever cleaned it! 😂 lol not that it mattered to them really. Anyways I am cleaning it now hopefully it will be “restored” so that I can use it another few years.
Great instructions
