Thank you for posting your guides to the Arena challenges. It took a few hours, but I finally did it on Very Hard under 7.5 minutes. Would've taken longer without this video. As of right now, there's only 94 people on the Very Hard leaderboard for Apex Predators. It definitely feels like a hard-fought accomplishment. Thanks again!

@@RKH1234 i did a bit of a mix from various strategies. but not very consistent. the beginning is the major thing with the scorgerer all hell breaks loose. 10h seems quite realistic without guides.
This is the guide that helped me beat the Apex Predators Arena Challenge with a 1:36 to spare! It took more tries than I want to admit to, but I finally did it just now! Thanks for putting this out there, would never have thought of tying down the Apex Thunderjaw without this tutorial. Hitting the Scorcher with bombs and then nailing the glowblast targets is genius. I found myself using that method with Fire Arrows on the belly of the Thunderjaw. It helped my bombs inflict more damage when he was on fire.
Glad it could help! didnt think abt the fire arrows nice tip! i learned few other methods to beat them faster as well but tying down the thunderjaw is the safest method to beat this comfortably

So fun to watch, and learn some other weapons I don't usually use.
Holy hell your video helped. I think I had tried this 50 times on normal difficulty and finally did it. Getting the hang of the ropes and smoke and stamina potions was the key to the tie down. What a weight off my shoulders that's finally over!

I didn't even realize that the "Elite Canister Ropecaster" can be used for tying, just like regular Ropecasters.

I was able to succeed with this technique, though it took many tries. The machines just didn't want to cooperate. The dodge hitboxes seem very arbitrary when it comes to explosions, I noticed. I did find that, instead of using acid traps, it was easier for me to shoot an acid canister at the thunderjaw's face and then set it off. This is mostly because the TJ likes to use a lunge attack that destroys traps without setting them off. In the end, I lucked out: with 25 seconds left and around 5,000 health on the machine, I went for a braced attack and managed to get a crit against the jewel on its head, dealing about 8,000 damage and ending the fight.
Good Job and Congrats yea he sometimes destroys the acid traps but they mostly work on him for extra damage, nice u were able to complete it!

Yo games are suppose to be fun and occasionally challenging. This is some dark souls tier trolling. I can’t use my weapons or armor, I have to navigate that bottom menu to cycle through stamina potions and smoke clouds while I navigate the wheel weapons and try to avoid getting run over or incinerated in one hit. This is some bullshit. I knew the last challenge was gonna be like this SMH

@@RKH1234 Yeah your video is def impressive. I got semi-close on my third attempt. Gave up after 10 attempts though and I'm only playing on normal lol. I guess I'll go back and try it again when I'm in a better mood. Thank you for this btw. Very clear and concise strat sure to be used by many down the road. It def becomes easier the closer you are towards lvl 50 so probably save it for end game.

agree that it's close to Elden Ring level of difficulty, but luckily in this game you can adjust difficulty.
giving up after just 10 attempts is weak tho. I probably played this battle ~200 times. I beat it on Normal difficulty within ~4:30 min, but on Hard difficulty only managed to do it within 7:40 min as my best time.
Dude this is the worst one yet. We literally have nothing to deal high damage with. But thanks to you I was at least able to finish it on normal difficulty

I got it on Very Hard but in 9:30 using a mixture of strategies. Still made the leaderboard though. I think people struggle to even kill them both in whatever time.

I totally suck at using ropecasters and tying down machines. Lol. I can’t get this.
if you suck at it use the smoke first, then it would give you enough time to cast the ropes but make sure it hits the scorcher as well or he will just dash in and kill you
It only works with the Penetrating Rope skill so if you run out of stamina use a smoke then use the Stamina potion
Imagine a slaughterspine in the mix.
Wit the armor they give u it's just more instant death
How to do make that weapon tie machines down? All its doing for me is attaching little canisters to it
u need use the weapon skill it cost that skill energy or stamina i forgot which
I don't know if they patched this or what but when I use the stamina skill on the Thunderjaw 3 times it won't get tied down.

I don't get how you are doing enough damage to the thunderjaw - I can't get the time and I don't have enough ammo to keep the dps going. I literally completed it in 7:31 - after like 20 attempts and since then I couldn't get back to that either. It was oppressively brutal and I am getting ready to give up soon haha. Idk - it's so frustrating because I just don't have enough ammo
they reduced some of the weapons dmg in some later patches, especially the sling, but the traps did alot of dmg to it as well its abt finding the right mix and timing
I don't understand how you're tying down the Thunderjaw? Did they change something cause it only fires useless cannisters
u need use the skill of the rope caster the penetrating ropes it costs weapon stamina to use it

Bring up your weapon wheel and select the rope cannister, on the weapon wheel there should be on the selected weapon right under it the skill options on the weapon i think the active one for the rope cannister if the penetrating ropes so you don't need change it, to use the weapon skill have the rope cannister equipped and while aiming down sights press R1 if you are using a Playstation controller i was using the ps5 so im not sure about the controls for PC if you are playing on PC

How do you manage to make 450+ of damage with the sling? I can only make 260 in critic attacks (yellow numbers)
they made the sling weaker i think im not too sure there were many updates after

the ropecaster, its skill is wat you need to use it hooks into it

I call B.S. I used this method on easy mode and used 4 ropes and it was still moving attacking all the while the scorcher was attacking non stop. You got some mod or something
no mods did this on playstation it might have been updated since then but i haven't checked yet
Did that stuff on easy and i almost broke my TV after the 100th time... guess I'm just bad at the game.
nah it took me a long to make a strategy i failed over 100 times but after some time u get the hang of it!
