Glad I watched your video. I would never have thought to mix my dollar store glitter with ibd gel to make glitter gel that is easier to apply. Thank you yours are beautiful!
I am a newbie and I have learned soooo much from you. During quarantine, nails became my new hobby. I am catching up on all your videos. I thought polygel was gonna be my thing but watching you, i know hard gels are my thing especially with you showing us how to make our own!!!! Love you and bless your hands and artistry
The set came out beautiful I be looking exactly like you when trying to do my right hand with my left lol. Sometimes i wish we could detached our hand and put it back on.
I love them. This was so helpful. I need ideas for my bday this month and I ordered everything I need to start, except my nail starter kit. I'm excited to start finally doing my own nails.
I know this is an older video, so I hope y’all see this. If you have not tried Vettsy’s foil glue, you need to. I love foils and have tried SO many foil glues. I have never gotten a clean foil transfer on the first try until I got the Vettsy one. That stuff is magic. 100% recommend!
hey hun. no I actually have t tried there’s before but right now I’m loving Sets Nail Co. foil glue and it’s been working extremely well for me. haven’t had the urge to try anything else lol.
Hi. I enjoy your videos, i love that you do all your designs with gel only. . I was wondering if you ever tried using nail foils with the sticky layer of gel thats left. I haven't tried it yet but i want to soon. 😊 i love your work, my #1 nail UA-cam channel.
New sub here. My interests is all gels. Poly gel, builder gel etc..so I'm loving your videos. Hopefully one day I'll be brave enough to start my own yt channel lol,🤔😍..beautiful design, love it.
so I add a thin layer first which would be my slick layer and then I add a larger amount and float/guide it down the nail then cure. some time I would have to go back to add a little more if i need to build up the apex.
I'm honestly not sure. I never had a problem with nail splitting before. Builder gel and hard gel are to strengthen nails so if you add a thin layer to your natural nail im pretty sure it could help with them splitting or breaking
I've been experimenting with foil on top of fake nails, but when I applied it and topped it with a clear gel coat, the foil wrinkled and chipped. It only looked nice for one day. I was wondering if anyone has tried IBD builder gel on top. Did the foil stay nice for a couple of weeks when you topped it with the clear IBD builder gel? I was afraid that if I tried it, I would wind up with a thick nail. I was also afraid that the nail would be so thick, that it would fall off. The last time that I decorated fake nails, it's like they were too heavy and started popping off but I like your technique. I guess it really depends on the glue. My natural nails are brittle thin, so I was going to apply a full set of press on nails and follow your technique. I can't wait to try it!!
I definitely think it could have been the glue you was using. Use a thin layer of gel and it won’t be bulky. but you can also apply 2 coats of top coat as well if you don’t want to use the builder gel. let me know how it turns out❤️
@@LissetteCruz girl I'm loving your videos I'm obsessed with gel nail videos! Yours are great new sub💞 do you get chipping with chrome powders? Also, would this look have had the same effect if you just patted the loose glitter onto the nail into the uncured gel rather than mix it with the ibd gel??
@@raya74 yea thats another technique but i wanted to have more movement when laying the glitter down and being able to move it around where i wanted. When patting it down your not able to move it around as much or play with it.
Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question but, when you are using a carbide bit and say to "seal the cuticle area", what do you mean by sealing it? I absolutely love this so much and its inspired me to try it for my next set!
I find alcohol ruins my brushes, just wipe the gel off well with a clean wipe and don’t touch it too much with your fingers. If your getting glitter in your brush, use clear gel to clean your brush out. I keep different brushes for different uses, ie: glitter gel, white, black, reds.
Love your easy and beautiful tutorials!!!
Thank you so much ♡♡♡😊

I’m learning how to do builder gel how many layers do you normally do?
so I add a thin layer first which would be my slick layer and then I add a larger amount and float/guide it down the nail then cure. some time I would have to go back to add a little more if i need to build up the apex.
Lissette Cruz thank you hun 🥰
Do the Candy Pink builder gel stop nail splitting????
I'm honestly not sure. I never had a problem with nail splitting before. Builder gel and hard gel are to strengthen nails so if you add a thin layer to your natural nail im pretty sure it could help with them splitting or breaking

I’m not sure as to using it as an adhesive for a full nail but to strengthen the top yes definitely.

🤗🤗💅
So pretty chica! Do u use primer before apply top coat to prevent it from chipping?
No hun. I don’t prime before top coating. Haven’t had any problems with it chipping or pealing

Hi, sorry if this is a stupid question but, when you are using a carbide bit and say to "seal the cuticle area", what do you mean by sealing it? I absolutely love this so much and its inspired me to try it for my next set!
meaning im filing it to I’m make it flush of blend it in with the natural nail. so there won’t be lifting.
@@LissetteCruz thank you for answering!!! it's not the first time I've seen that phrase used in a video so I appreciate you responding! 😊
Hi! Question for you. It seems that some people use a gel base coat in between the bond and builder gel. Is this needed?
depending on the products your using it may require it. I use clear rubber base in my sets.
Yes you should use a base gel.
How long does your nail last when using builder gel before you experience any lifting??
they last long over 4 week
Beautiful! How long did it take you to do this in real time?
This is going on a year now that I’ve done these nail already but I think it was less the 1hour , like 45 minutes or something like that.
Thank you ❤️
🤩🤩🤩
How do you clean your brush after doing this? Just rinse it all out with water?
No hun. You don't have to completely clean off the gel. You could just wipe it alittle with some alcohol.
As long as the LED or UV light dont hit it, it can stay with a little gel on it. Just cover it so you don't get dust on it.
I find alcohol ruins my brushes, just wipe the gel off well with a clean wipe and don’t touch it too much with your fingers. If your getting glitter in your brush, use clear gel to clean your brush out. I keep different brushes for different uses, ie: glitter gel, white, black, reds.
Can't you do several thin layers to build instead of a larger amount the 2nd time?
Of course you can if thats your preference and if its easier for you then yea.
Music is atrocious... I had I mute
Agreed the music isn't for everyone.
Great video , could’ve done without the music & a bit more commentary
