That very early joke by Joscho with 'La vie en rose' was so cute. I love this version as much as the other longer piece with Tommy Emmanuel. Bravo to both guitarists!
@@petitcoquinou7180 when you start playing part of one song while soloing on another song, you call that a "quote". Joscho is always doing those things when playing solos. Sometimes he plays melodies like "The Flintstones", or "Popeye" while soloing over some other song, it's really fun.
Quelle maestria, ça scotche ! Évitez tout de même les accélérations, ça nuit à la beauté absolue de votre interprétation (et démasque votre virtuosité)
It may be just me but Joscho has that "special" tone few players develop. You know, the tone that is instantly recognizable. Sort of like hearing Joe Pass on the radio and knowing it's him from the first couple bars.
I know the Richard Smith is a great professional jazz guitarist but compared to you, he is a beginner. Joscho you are one in a million. Wonderful performance, so well done!
Richard's guitar tone always sounds so cool and his natural tone is divine.

absolutely love the "la vie en rose" passage at 00:28! Such a creative snippet!
So freaking good!
Both world class musicians! Thank you for this Joscho!
Thank you, both. It is such a "smile event" watching you play.
I love listening to these two musicians. They obviously enjoy their craft, and playing together. Such a joy to watch.
This is one of the best versions I've heard of this song! Great!
Tommy and Richard willl always be my number 1
Joscho Stephan artist of the purest class !!!!!!!
Those two dudes. Amazing again, can't tear my ears off the train of their sweeping melody...
Awesome rendition, wvery one of it is one step better!
Amazing performance
Made my day, mountains of feeeeel and rivers of subtlety. Thanks Rich and Stephan.
0:29 sounds like a nod to La Vie en Rose. Like his guitar sings "Hold me close and hold me fast..." then he goes back into If I Had You.
indeed it is, it's called a "quote"
@@bmacmoran2783 what do you mean my friend?

@@bmacmoran2783 thank you! You learned me something

I like when JS smiles when RS plays hot lick 🌺
¡¡¡¡ IMPRESIONATE...¡¡¡¡
Have you heard Richard sing this tune? He has a wonderful voice
Nunca lo escuche, pero ahora que tengo la oportunidad, me parece muy bueno. Gracias por la música, muchachos?
Einfach super!
einfach nur fantastisch👍🙂
This is like a soundtrack for a Toy Story movie that was never made. Thumbs up.
Cool guys!...
Great playing :D … like Tommy's Version a bit more
Tommy’s version is much smoother and flowing and as a result more beautiful
It's not a competition. Lame comment.
Tommy and Joscho. Better. More emotional
Wonderfull,
What is the song they start at the end ?
Its the „Rattlesnake Shuffle“ - you can watch the full video on my channel as well ✌️
Now a version with tommy with y’all all together in one video of If I had you
What’s not to love?!
Yeah. Schönes Lied
I know this is off topic but how does Joscho keep his hair so shiny it's amazing.
Product. And good diet. And good genes.
And probably “sniz on the reg”.
Name of a song from 3:26 to 3:46 ? 😊

Why does youtube pause asking to continue? I asked to play a mix; so it can continue?
Just great!!! Thank you! 👍🙂 What guitar is Richard playing? Beautiful instrument.
It's his signature model made by Kirk Sand in Laguna Beach, CA.
waiting for stochelo rosenberg version, nice
What microphones were used to record these beautiful musicians?
Off the hook!
Damn, that’s so pretty!
👍👍👍👍
How much fun was that?
I can imagine Django had a massive smile in his grave at that moment!
Sorry Tommy. I have a new favorite now. I won't forget you.
Tommy is another thing...
Richard Smith is an English guitarist. He only LIVES in Nashville.

I shouldn't play this video with my guitar around, she will be jealous
Fingers=100 tone=20
Not a fan of nylon string sound. Joshco's sounds 100% nicer.
