- I could just let this fine automobile go to waste... especially since I have a parts Beetle setting in the side yard! And, I needed to help my neighbor out of a jam, since he got over his head with this car and a bunch of costly repairs that he was not anticipating. It's an auction junker, but its my junker... and I'm bringing it back from the dead.

This video was well edited, funny at times, and informative as HECK! Thx tons! Excellent work!
I need more time to make more videos... I have lots of content, but no time to edit. LOL!
Love your attitude and excellent work!
I just love the Beetle. It is a fun little car that just makes life a little more enjoyable. Thanks for watching.
Awesome work Dave. Thanks
Thanks, friend. And thanks for your interaction with my work. I appreciate it!
I dont know if you have one, but I have found a great tool for working on the VW -obdEleven. It is a great obd tool made for VW, Audi, Porsche, etc. Easy to use and helps with making updates, adjustments, clear codes, good stuff.
My nephew has one... he will be "home" for Independence Day, so we are going to hook it up! Clear up that non-sense and hopefully find any more issues that I can fix pretty quick. Thanks, Stacey!
Ok, I will send you mine if you need it. I also have VCDS which I could send too. Its sort of the final work in VW diagnostics and repair.
Hey Dave, that is the DSC light. In combination with the ABS light, it means that there is a faulty ABS sensor on one of the wheels. You will need a code reader to determine which one it is. Best of luck! Best videos on the tube! Love your editing.
I knew someone would tell me! Thanks, Trent! My nephew with the code reader will be home soon!
I grew up in Tacoma! Great work on this beetle!
Very cool! Please don't take this the wrong way, but I try to avoid Tacoma. I am sure there are many great places there, I just prefer the rural lifestyle. :-D
@@HelicoolsHelipad Not at all. It’s not the place it was in the 90’s. I went to WSU and did most of my IT career in Seattle & King County, but Tacoma took a turn and we couldn’t stay. After I couldn’t work any longer we moved to my wife’s hometown in Ohio. It’s quiet, I still poke around the marketplace ads looking for an Old Volvo to wrench on, but I’m not in shape to be turning wrenches at this stage of the game. I like watching your videos though!
@@thomasfx3190 wrenching is not the easiest thing to do, especially when your not feeling in the best of health. I pray that you will have a miraculous healing for His glory, and be able to poke around the workshop a little, too!
Good luck and hang in there Dave VW
Fun build... for the most part. I am so glad that I had a donor car!
