I have never witnessed such an EPIC day of Land based Shark Fishing as we did last week. We made history with a record catch of 11 Great Hammerheads and 2 Tiger Sharks Caught and released from the beach within 12 hours. This was an extremely rare, once in a lifetime event for us fishermen. Part 2 of this video will be released soon. Stay Tuned! **All Sharks were SAFELY and LEGALLY Released, with all hooks removed **

Reading through all the comments, especially the eco-warriors, and i can't believe some of what people are actually saying. I won't go into individual remarks, suffice it to say Hammerhead Sharks predate regularly on Stingrays and have been found with numerous Ray's barbs embedded in their mouths, heads and even internally. To claim a fish hook is causing a shark pain is simply rubbish and shows a large degree of ignorance in both fish biology and scientific research on the subject. If you have a complaint about the activity of fishing for sharks that's one thing and is simply your opinion, but don't claim "the poor sharks" are being made too endure unnecessary pain because it simply isn't true. "Sharks do not feel pain as humans do and they do not possess the neuro-physiological capacity for a conscious awareness of pain" As cited in a scientific report by Science Daily 8th Aug 2013.
Sadly many egos freaks out, not seen the value of us fishing and fighting fore clean living habitats fore the wild.
If you are leaving the hook in then you better be using the required hook type. As of 1/1/2018 shark fishing hooks must be non-offset, corrosive, circle hooks. Because they increase the shark's survivability (FYI: www.nefsc.noaa.gov/nefsc/Narragansett/sharks/survive.html) . Hammerheads prey on skates and rays, yes.. a ray barb can get stuck, but it will not stay stuck. Its a natural food for hammerheads so their bodies can deal with it. Hooks dont cause pain like people say, I know that, but a stainless steel J hook can cause long term damage to a sharks mouth, interfere with eating, and more - thats why its now a requirement to use corrosive circle hooks, so they disintegrate. I am glad to see you being careful with them, and gently walking them back into the water..and NOT sitting on it! (That drives me nuts as sharks have no bones to support the weight!) - I get its fun, and exciting.. just do your best to be as gentle as possible. We need these bad boys alive! ;)
They feel pain or not, still they endure the treatment you FORCE upon them. That s more than enough to say YOU ARE ABUSIVE!
I don't fish for sharks, or any other fish that i don't eat, so i don't force anything on them. I simply stated facts and scientific data showing these animals do not feel pain like humans do. I respect and love animals and that includes the sharks, rays and other aquatic wildlife. I don't agree with hurting or abusing any animal. All i am stating is that these guys catch and release, as far as i can tell, their fish in a non abusive way. They don't appear to drag the sharks up onto dry land, rather they try and keep them in the water and they release the animals as quickly and as humanely as possible. My main concern is that people who are against this type of fishing will eventually push for all forms of fishing to be banned and they will do so based not on scientific research, but on pure emotional and feelings based beliefs. I love to fish and i enjoy the harvest the seas and rivers provides, i for one will for fight for my right to go enjoying these things.
I certainly agree with your comments and i haven't used stainless steel anything in my type of fishing for many, many years. I love and respect the oceans and their inhabitants. As for the sharks ability to feel pain i think it's a fairly moot point, unless or until we are able to feel the things these creatures do. I would suggest that the modern trend of anthropomorphizing every creature, great and small, has gone way too far, we attribute feelings, emotions and man made ideas to creatures which simply do not possess them and it has become so wide spread and accepted the lines of reality appear to bebecoming a little muddled.
Sharks in Australia are so aggressive that they're walking on land out there and trying to get jobs
Shark Lives Matter and we saw a group of sharks marching to Twisted Sister, we’re not going to take it anymore!

As a boy, I asked an old man if there were sharks in the water at a particular beach, he told me to dip my finger in the water, taste it. If it was salty than there are sharks.

The sea is the interconnected system of all the Earth's oceanic waters, including the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Southern and Arctic Oceans. However, the word "sea" can also be used for many specific, much smaller bodies of seawater, such as the North Sea or the Red Sea. There is no sharp distinction between seas and oceans, though generally seas are smaller, and are often partly (as marginal seas) or wholly (as inland seas) bordered by land. However, the Sargasso Sea has no coastline and lies within a circular current, the North Atlantic Gyre. Seas are generally larger than lakes and contain salt water, but the Sea of Galilee is a freshwater lake. The United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea states that all of the ocean is "sea".
Fox Lover
It seems that you are mistaken about the way that i used the word sea. Although sea can be used in a particular context that reflects a ultra salty, nearly lifeless body of water, like I believe you are referring to, you should know that sea can also refer to what can also be called ocean.
Cheers.
Lol
It means that some type of shark live in every saltwater
When you go to A new beatch and there is no one in the water like here in South Africa.Theres A good reason why.Haha
Amen my friend!!!!
*goes shark fishing*
*almost gets bit*
THEY SHOULD CLOSE THIS BEACH
They should of closed the beach because it wasn't safe because all the sharks they caught.
@@callieraeee Exactly! The lifeguards are supposed to call people in if there is a shark sighting.
ToXic SmOke ... and, they are teaching the sharks that easy food can be found at the shoreline. Very dangerous.
@@delilahrainelle7158 I absolutely do not mean any disrespect at all. I have fished saltwater and been near the ocean majority of my life. Even of there was no fisherman fishing for sharks off the shoreline, the sharks would still be there. They are patrolling the shoreline for schools of fish and other animals to eat etc. They will always be there.
Brian Eckhardt ... I agree that they feed near the shore. I completely get that, but I have read several studies that attribute a “ rise” in the number of sharks being drawn in due to fishermen baiting sharks for the purpose of drawing sharks to the boat for their paying customers. Does that make sense. I hope that I explained it right.
Anyway, I don’t mean any disrespect either. I was only quoting what I read.
I live on the east coast and personally don’t swim in the ocean that much and especially not early morning or late evening. However, I love the ocean.
And this is why I don't swin in the ocean. I try and stay off the menu.
sharks dont eat people. they would rather eat a car tire. sharks are like babies they are curious and know what thinks are if they put it in their mouth if you get bit stay calm. they will tear apart things that thrash around panic
That water is absolutely beautiful
Have you ever thought of teaming up with a university/oceanographic group for a tagging program?
That's a great idea. Especially for you dudes that jump in the water with the sharks! U are incredibly brave crazy stupid or all 3 lol I don't mean anything negative about that comment plz know that.
Yes please do.
Yes , please

do some good, contribute to conserving and saving sharks from extinction and stop fishing for fun
This is exactly what happened to my brother. When the waves came it was up to his waist but when it came at him he still got bit by a bull shark three times on his ankle he’s lucky that he didn’t get lose his foot! Always always keep a look out around your surroundings! It doesn’t matter how shallow the water is sharks can still go very very shallow
This is beast sharking here, great job guys love the video, this is one heck of a sportsmanship the work done in catching one of these beasts and the fact that all these guys help each other in the catch and release part of this sport. Awesome work!
Bruh which beach are you at so I can never go lmao
That's crazy same spot when I was in Florida I used to go out early in the morning and there was like 50 sharks in the shallow
Thats crazy!
You couldn't do this in Florida ....it's 100% illegal....All the species of sharks are protected you're not even allowed to catch them

It’s always a pleasure to watch fellow responsible shark fisherman show how it’s done. Good team. Well played.
Been waiting for this vid since seeing your Instagram story. That's a lot of sharks dude
Only half of them ! So stoked I got it on film 😬

I applaud these guys... having fun outdoors and heeding the game laws.
Good to see young men like you taking such good care of the sharks that you catch! Have you checked to see if there are any tagging programs in your area? You could be a big help.if there is. Great video guys. Keep it up!
Thank you guys for understanding how important it is to get them back into the water in a timely manner. To many times people are more concerned about pictures than the safety of the sharks.
Mr. Worthington if they were concerned at all about the safety of the sharks they wouldn't do this.
Kami Wilson you're just mad cuz they're using kittens for bait.

Kudos for dehooking and releasing 👍
Sharks are not endangered. Shark steaks are delicious. Why aren’t they eating them?
@@morganfalkdesigns some people just like fishing and don’t intend to eat anything that they catch so they just put the animals back in the water.
Great video about an exemplary day of fishing! End of story!

The first real fishing video, and the first video I actually thumbed up, this is great stuff.
I’d love to see some of these sharks in person. So beautiful, deadly of course but still gorgeous

These guys are freaking crazy! Lol 😂!
Who is crazy enough to swim in this beach!?
From what ive heard most shark attacks are accidental, shark mistakes something moving in water as a fish, or there drawn to the scent of blood
Me
I would love to be able to see sharks in their natural habitats so hopefully myself in the future.
Fish are
You do know that you’re like a thousand times more likely to die in a traffic accident on the way to the beach, than you are likely to be attacked by a shark, right?
Thank you for taking the hooks out most people don’t do that an the shark suffers I tip my hat to you gentlemen
Next on the News,, shark attacked swimmers do to fishing off the beach 🤦🏻♀️
News flash sugar tits the sharks were already there. Also they stay way out past where any normal beach goer swims....

Whatever man.... I don't think getting your gums pierced with a hook and being pulled out of your home is something for entertainment. If you're not going to fish for food, why bother them? Or is this not bothersome and painful? No? What fun!
This should be illegal to stop people without brains hurting animals.
It's not a secret that sharks, especially hammerheads are sensitive to catch and release. Alot of them die within minutes of them swimming away. Biologist have evidence of this. Look it up. So what these guys are doing really isnt cool.
nena200able, you should’ve stopped after you first five words! (“Whatever man... I don’t think”)
John Koepke - you piqued my curiosity, so I did some quick research on mortality for catch-and-released hammerheads. The studies showing high rates were problematic for a number of reasons: first, they looked at fish caught via commercial, long-lining techniques, not sport-fishing. There are huge differences in how the fish are treated by the differing methods. Second, the tags used in those studies have recently been found to be unreliable, potentially resulting in misreporting of surviving sharks as deceased. Few studies have been published that were not problematic, but at least one reported a 100% survival rate. The logical conclusion is that there is no evidence supporting the idea that sport-fishing and practicing “catch-&-release” harms the animal.
You guys rock!
Where can I come and watch you? This looks amazing!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
they do have signs saying "don't feed the sharks"
the ocean is just a gate way to another world. but to think that giant sharks like those would come so close
So it's fun but it leads to harder drugs?
Outcast Outdoors lol my thoughts exactly :)
You'd never swim in the ocean if you knew what giant's are close by. It's said that any time you get in the ocean you're fifty feet from a shark. I'm more scared of squid than sharks! A feisty crab is more to worry about than a shark!
Basic_Fishing country cause all of us live in a world
Those sharks are all over the ocean. The only reason you know they are close was because you saw it. Think about the ones you haven't seen lol
