- Rollaerator on compacted soil! This soil does not get aerated and only gets mowed by the city! Let's see if we can revive it with aeration and some weed and feed!!!

Thanks for the honest review. For now, I will keeping using my manual two-tine aerator that pushes out cores.

Glad you found a good native seed blend for your area. Even xeric grasses do need water when planting, just like germinating seed in your yard. After its established itll be good on rain water tho. Might want to plan your planting for before a rain.
When somone says they have clay soil, it has to do with soil mineral texture. About 50% of ground soil are minerals(rocks) that are finely broke down. They get classified by size between clay, silt, and sand. If someone has a clay soil that means there soil texture is atleast 30% clay or more.

Did you read the back of fert where it says don't use weed killer fert within 6-8 weeks of seeding?

Nice vid...Clay soil sucks. Its predominate here in the Southeast. It's rock hard when it doesn't rain and soft and mushy when it does. It drains terribly so If you're in a wet area it will stay mushy. Whatever you do do not apply sand as a topdressing with clay soil. The mixture basically creates cement. Top-dress clay with some sort of organic material (peat) or topsoil.
I'm commenting on your final words about dealing with clay soil.

Pretty ingenious, but isn't that just a car rotor with some tines bolted on? Pretty expensive for what it is imo.

I got the double disk for more weight and figure I’ll never need another. I got the fiskars and want something that will do 1/2 inch or less as well.
Would it work on places where there is lots of soil ?
I mean if it's too soft... probably not... if it's too hard probably not lol it has to be pretty decent conditions for this guy to work well!
