0:36 - Except maybe the Grand Inquisitor He was after all formerly a Jedi Temple guard who had grown disillusioned with the Jedi order much like Dooku and Bariss offee.
Not just disillusionment but he felt he was being stifled from researching and exploring into dangerous information, similar to the early Jedi who were curious about the dark side of the force. Let's not make the Grand Inquisitor a victim in all this he had ambitions and desires to become more powerful.
One thing most people miss is that prior to the outbreak of the clone wars; the bulk of the Jedi Order didn't emphasize combat proficiency as much as they would during the war. In some ways Sidious also inadvertently made the Jedi stronger. I also have to critique the style of combat of the Inquisitors; offense is good at wearing down the enemy and preventing them from bringing their full power to bear in a fight, but a pure focus on attacking also leads many of them to overextend themselves. Vader should have corrected this error, his own reliance on pressing the offense to overwhelm Obi-Wan on Mustafar is what ultimately got him maimed. Dare I say, the Inquisitors lightsaber style actually mirrors Anakin's own before being confined to his armor.
To your first point, even if what palpatine did made the jedi stronger, at the same time, some jedi still died during the war, or turned to the dark side, and this ser ed sidious's main goal of getting rid of the jedi. Yes, order 66 was the big plan to wipe the jedi out, but at the same time the more jedi that were lost during the war meant more and more jedi had to leave the temple to wage campaigns. Ultimately, this culminated in the jedi being spread so thin that when order 66 was given it ledt the jedi spread so thin that they were unable to help each other, or the temple when it was attacked. To your second point, that kind of goes into what he was saying in the video about sidious wanting to keep them weak. Inquisitors didn't need to be proficient at lightsaber combat to hunt most of the jedi that were left, padawan's, some knights, maybe a rare master. Since inquisitors hunt them in groups they don't need to be that proficient in lightsaber combat to hunt them, and even if who ever they hunt is strong enough to fight, maybe even defeat them, that's what vader is for. And, as far as Vader or sidious are concerned, whether they succeed or not didn't matter to them in the end. If they succeeded then it was one less jedi in the galaxy, if not then vader got to go out and stretch his legs, which resulted in the same outcome.
@@markfoshee4768. To add to that, many Jedi would’ve left the Order in protest of the war or switched to non combat and command roles in the early days of the Clone Wars. And after the war and Order 66, those that remained were broken individuals. They understood that their taking part in the war had blinded them and led them astray from the Jedi way, and they shared the blame for the state of the galaxy. This left most of the survivors in a vulnerable position, and some likely chose not to put up a much of a fight.
I would argue that this was by design rather than a mistake. The Grand Inquisitor, among others, figured out that reaching into other negative emotions like Hate improved their abilities. This means that, if an Inquisitor lived long enough, they could eventually become a true Dark Side Adept and a threat to Palpatine's regime. Because this also easily breeds arrogance, it means that any Inquisitor that would challenge Vader or Sidious would do so well before they were a match for either. In the instances where an Inquisitor leaves for somewhere and doesn't return, then Vader knows where a Purge Survivor likely is. Obviously, it isn't perfect, but I think the Inquisitorious turned out as well as Sidious could have hoped.
Only if the stated goal of the inquisitor program is the actual goal. If their goal was just to wipe out remaining Jedi who haven't joined the inquisitors you'd be right, but I'd bet the goal is to kill as many force-sensitives as possible. Including the inquisitors themselves.
Vader and the Emperor do not want to give strong force wielders more power. They are terrified of competition so even if a Jedi was dead set on becoming an inquisitor, if they were too powerful in the force they would be exterminated. The Empire’s power cannot be questioned or even approached. Weak force users with hate and fear in their hearts are the perfect servants.
That's what I hate about the Empire even if it is genius writing. The Empire's troops, elites and even force users have basic and medium training, surviving skills and potencial. But they're purposefully too weak and have their potencial unexplored because the Empire doesn't want any potencial threat to their existence, even if it is on their side so everything or everyone that seem to be powerful is just exterminated. The Empire as a whole is weak in minds and power but somehow outnumbers every revolution group in every possible way
Nah, it’s the same as Jedi fallen order. Everyone looks powerful and can do amazing things until you see them try to take someone from the big time Jedi or Sith like when you feel decently powerful and Cere seems like she’s at least on ObiWan’s level, that is until you fight Vader and you’re more like a gnat he swats away and is more annoyed by you and Cere than challenged. It puts the power levels into perspective. Even in the animated series the Grand Inquisitor was never even close to being a threat to Vader. He probably thought he was, but Vader could have squashed him.
@@Lakota238 I have no doubt in my mind that Vader most likely wouldn’t have even had to take out his lightsaber to kill him he would died in seconds I was trying to make a joke on how the animated series made the Grand inquisitor look so cool and respected he might of even had the nerve to make a attempt on Vader Witch would of been a cool scene also
@@WillOrWillNotVader like 2 days in the suit diffracted him in less than half a minute later on Vader would inta kill as he has taken on all the inquirers at once and one
They're kind of like force sensitive FBI detectives. They are good at hunting down and locating people, investigating leads and interrogating people, but they aren't masters of martial arts. A typical FBI agent is probably more than the average person could handle, because they have some hand-to-hand combat training and more importantly a firearm. Similarly, the inquisitors are skilled at tracking people down, but they only have serviceable skill in the force and with a lightsaber. Their spinning lightsaber is their firearm, a surprise trump card to catch opponents off guard. Like an FBI agent, alone they are not the most combat effective, but their training allows them to work as a unit with deadly effectiveness. We see this in Rebels when three inquisitors are able to go toe-to-toe with Maul, Ahsoka, and Kannan for a while. Maul and Ahsoka are way out of their league. Perhaps the dark side nexus on Malachor gave them an advantage, but Maul would also be empowered. I think because they are so coordinated, they are able to stand up to their opponents who are burdened by their lack of trust in Maul. Their defeat comes when they split up to hunt their targets. Do I think they Inquisitors could have won that group fight? No. Maul was able to handle all three by himself pretty well, but the fact that they were able to last so long against some of the greatest force users and lightsaber duelists of the era speaks to the force multiplier their pack tactics is, even when the numbers are even. The Inquisitors are trained to unbalance their opponent, to catch them off guard, and to create conflict in their mind to disrupt their connection to the force. We see this when Kannan fights the Grand Inquisitor, yes he is out skilled by the Grand Inquisitor, but he is so afraid of losing his friends and burdened by guilt from order 66 that the Grand Inquisitor plays on that he cannot properly connect to the light side. It's similar to when Maul and Savage dueled Kenobi and Ventress. Maul and Kenobi were fairly even until Maul taunted Obi-wan about Qui Gon's death, then Obi-wan became unbalanced with rage and was weakened to the point Maul could take him down easily. I think the inquisitors are good at what they do, but what they do is unbalance their opponents and overwhelm them. When their primary tactic is useless like it became against Kannan in his final fight with the Grand Inquisitor, they are only unbalanced former Jedi with a basic grasp on the dark side. In a way this is brilliant because these tactics would never work on Vader or Sidious, thus if the Inquisitors ever rebelled the greatest weapon in their arsenal would be useless. I think to the average Jedi Knight who survived Order 66, these black armored hunters who betrayed the order coming in packs to taunt you and jump out of the shadows to kill you would be terrifying. Then they threaten the innocents around you, your friends, they taunt you for all the people you've lost, they criticize the order you cling to. It would be hard not to be afraid, to be angry, to question if their is any hope of resisting the Empire. The light would become distant and hard to connect to, then the red blades start spinning and the Jedi gets flashbacks to watching footage of General Grievous massacre Jedi in the Clone Wars. At that point, serviceable skill in the dark side and with the lightsaber is all the inquisitors need to finish the job.
Agree with most of your points, I would also include that many Jedi survivors, like Kanan, were padawans by the time of Order 66, who had not yet passed the Jedi Trial of Courage. We the results when Kanan finally overcame his fear and was then able to best the Grand Inquisitor, yet was no match for his Jedi counterpart
Remember what I taught you, General. If you are to succeed in combat against the best of the Jedi, you must have fear, surprise, and intimidation on your side. But if any one element is lacking, it would be best for you to retreat. You must break them before you engage them. Only then will you ensure victory and have your trophy. - Lord Tyrannus
It’s not only that, but most of the Jedi and Sith we have seen are exceptional. In contrast, the majority of them are weak. And the Jedi instilled restraint. This was part of the reason why Jedi like Exar Kun and Anakin believed that the Order was holding back, and withholding knowledge from them, and in part why Obi-Wan was able to hold his own against the latter.
It's one of those things that, I feel, if they had the time to train themselves, a few inquisitors may have grown in power. I'm sure that's why their missions kept them as busy as possible. Because fear is just a spark of that darkside potential. Anger brings forth an all-consuming flame. Finally, hatred hones that flame into a point of power that can't propel as well as cut apart anything, usually including those that attempt to wield it
This is the best explanation yet. I always wondered why they disappear in the era of the Rebellion. It makes sense that while helpful in the early years, were ultimately useless.
1.) grand inquisitor 2.) Marrok 3.) 2nd sister 4.) Lyn 5.) 9th sister 6.) 7th sister 7.) 5th Brother 8.) 6th brother 9.) 8th brother 10) 10th brother 11) 3rd sister 12) the black twi Lek Just my estimation though 5th brother is described as clumsy in battle scars and struggled with an exhausted and fearful Cal Kestis who was buying time for his friends to get away.
The rule of two is really dumb for ruling a galaxy from a practical view point, yes Vader is powerful, they can send him if the iquisitor fails but he can't be in every place at the same time, the galaxy has like over a million planets and Vader may be needed somewhere else, realistically all the jedi has too do is keep moving from planet to planet and not use the force in front of anyone and most of them should escape from Vader and a handful of Inquisitors just by luck.
That and a planet is a pretty goddamned big deal to 'search' for one individual who is already intimately familiar with your entire organization's capabilities and does not want to be found and is more likely than not easily capable of simply massacring even the most skilled squad of conventional soldiers should they be caught by a smaller element. It would be ludicrously expensive by every metric to try to hunt down every last Jedi rather than just destroying their institution, ensuring they have no place in public life or the people's sentiments, and carrying on with more productive dominations
@Omniseed Problem is the Empire is run by fascists, and fascists don't think that way. They tend to genuinely believe that, once all their enemies are gone, all of reality will magically become paradise for the survivors. Of course, this means ALL their enemies need to go. Even a single survivor will inevitably pull off some fiendish imagined plot to destroy everything. Rational people understand that a few Jedi here and there can't meaningfully threaten the Empire, but fascism isn't rational. And, just like real-world fascists, the "enemies" they are hunting down will never stop being born. New force-sensitive kids will always be born, just like new trans and gay kids. So they have an enemy they can pursue forever, which they can always blame all their problems on to deflect from their corruption and incompetence, because no matter how horrific their purges against them there will always be more.
I think it's due to 2 reasons: 1. The Sith rule of two makes it so that there's no incentive to make them stronger than the two that were in place: Sidious and Vader, already 2 of the strongest sith ever. The were meant to get subpar training. 2. Inquisitors were trained to capture the Jedi of the fallen republic, but Jedi during the reign of the empire had evolved. They were much more wily and clever, not the type to play it by the old ways. They did what they needed to survive, and connected to the force in ways the Jedi of the republic never had. Yoda noted this during his battle with Sidious: the Jedi hadn't evolved in thousands of years, the Sith had. When the republic fell, it was the Jedi's turn to evolve.
The part that falls flat for me for the Inquisitors is Kanan and Ezra, who are a former Padawan and a kid from a dusty planet. The fact they can hold their own against two Inquisitors just feels wrong. They are strong when they need to be, weak when they are not. They never feel consistently strong
I mean it’s kind the design they are meant to be effective at hunting padawan and some knights but if they come across anyone who actually knows how to properly fight they get destroyed But palpatine doesn’t want to train up potential threats so they’re training is kept to a minimum skill wise Cals a good example as soon as he is no longer scared he destroyed the inquisitors
I think that the main difference between a truly powerful sith lord and an inquisitor, dark jedi or lower level sith acolyte is fear, but in a different way. Sith mostly leave behind their fear, they channel dark emotions, but they don't have doubts about their powers or choices. Trilla hated Cere, but she was afraid of many things, like the day they met again- and she could let her hatred go before her death. Lyn had doubts about what she was doing, and the moment she hit Barris, her anger evaporated. They used numbers to replace their names, but they were not transformed into different persons, they were transformed into a mutilated version of a jedi knight they used to be. Vader had absolutely zero doubts about hating everything, including himself, and there were not many things he was really afraid of (he did not have anything else to lose). A sith is not the person they used to be, they are truly something else. Even Dooku, who literally kept using his name for everything, is a different person.
You should make a video on the comparison on the Inquisitors of the Galactic Empire and the Lessor Sith of the Old Republic Sith Empire, both there strengths/ weaknesses and which was more effective or worse.
Wow this video put some things into perspective. The inquisitors were just another cog in Sidious’s machine. Quantity over quality is the empire’s trademark. The whole thing is sad, but fascinating
Theory: If Palpatine knew he would be going thru apprentice, could Maul have been a protype design for the Inquisitors? He played a similar role before being beaten by Quigon, the fact he survived and became a threat to his plans, could've led to the idea to not fully train the Inquisitors...🤷 and of course by not making them SIth it essentially was a loophole to the Rule of 2 And could be why Maul was referred to as the Shadow, he was essentially a better trained version of them and could always stay ahead of them.
The inquisitors were basically all Jedi padawans captured and turned to dark side. When they actually came up against someone decent then you could tell they were actually weak. The problem is most Jedi hadn’t used there skills in a long time and / or became disconnected with the force to not be discovered so were easy pickings.
This makes sense. Inquisitors are former Jedi. They are just servants, tool. They are not worthy. But yes, they are big shame for the Sith and Empire. This was not good idea I think. Maybe there was other option. May the Force be with you too😊
I always wondered, how powerful can a force user get? Because you have Jedi and Sith being able to screw with Black Holes, planets and I think the entire Galaxy in Legends while in canon you have the Dark Dimension Vader stuff. Is there any limit on what force users can possibly do?
That has to do with a users connection to the force. Anakin/Vader had the highest midichlorian count ever, which is why his potential is so insanely high. Both Luke and Leia being his children had very high levels as well, which is exactly why Luke became so powerful. Yoda and Sidious also have very high counts, not as high as any of the Skywalkers, but significantly more than the average Jedi/Sith, they had the highest known counts until Anakin showed up… of course that’s wasted potential unless one trains. Yoda and Sidious were so proficient because of their dedication and connections to their perspective sides…
Jedi and Sith can become as powerful as they allow themselves to be. It's just that some may need to train more than others to reach their potential. Obi-Wan had to work considerably harder than Anakin, for example, due to having less of a connection to the Force, but his dedication to his training meant that he was able to defeat Anakin in combat, despite Anakin being more powerful.
I kind of liken it to running. Some people are just not destined to run very fast or for long, but they can try reaching their potential. Some people just naturally excell at running. Same thing with Force users.
They were only taught the bare minimum for using the Dark Side of the Force. Fear only works on so many people, eventually there will be someone who realizes they are all bark and no bite which will lead to people fighting back. Unfortunately Fear tactics are a bit of a 2 way street, it won’t work on people who are either more effective at using those tactics or are aware that you aren’t as powerful as you present yourself to be. Ahsoka already experienced the fear of being falsely accused of a crime and being hunted down because of the accusations. It’s a “Been there and done that before” mentality for her.
It was an absolute waste. The more Sith they could have had, the more they could have been spread throughout the galaxy to ensure their reign never ended, but short-sighted are the Sith.
Well not really because it's been proven when there are many sith they have a tendency to fight and kill each other that's why Darth Bane created the rule of two
The reason was explained repeatedly. Forthe sith, the rule of two was the result of sith looking at the weakness of the sith, namely revan and bane. What you say would make sense under normal circumstances but not when dealing with sith where they constantly hinder their own progress.
The first wave of jedi eliminations were executed by clones troopers. Inquisitors arent 1v1 against jedi and more they are hunting arent master jedi. Then they are backed up by Vader. Like using a dog to find the prey. Sometimes the dog will mess up a rabbit and the rest if the time the real hunter gets the prey.
The inquisitors were flawed from the start, both in the concept and the execution (no pun intended). The fact they were former Jedi made them fundamentally flawed and ultimately a failed product at the end of the day. When Cal Kestis faced the Ninth Sister on Kashyyyk, her words to him disturbed me, revealing her experiences from how she was turned from Jedi to Inquisitor: She was isolated, tortured, and mutilated, turning her from a keeper of the peace into a broken and hateful creature driven by her fear, anger, and pain to make others, especially the Jedi, suffer. In other words, the Inquisitors were unbalanced. They were taught fear, by Sidious, by Vader, and by the other members of the Inquisitorius, and so used fear, their own and those around them, to fuel their power in the Dark Side, but it was rudimentary and inferior compared to the likes of Asajj Ventress when she was (unofficially) Dooku's Sith apprentice. While it's understandable that Sidious and Vader would not want the inquisitors to grow too powerful, their methods were honestly sloppy, and so the inquisitors were sloppy, unable to fully and truly grasp the full powers of the Dark Side by learning Anger and Hate along with Fear. Thus, the Inquisitors made up for their shortcomings with other methods, such as utilizing resources, soldiers, equipment, and dirty strategies and tactics that enabled them to track down and flush Jedi survivors out of hiding for them to kill. As the GI said, the Jedi hunt themselves by their inability to stand by and do nothing when people are suffering, and these good deeds do not go unpunished by the Inquisitors, the Empire, bounty hunters, or Vader himself. It was utilizing these methods that enabled the Inquisitors to effectively hunt Jedi, but let us not forget their jedi prey were often padawans, inexperienced knights, or even jedi elders, all of whom were not in the same league as the likes of Obi-wan, Yoda, Quinlan Voss, etc., and many survivign jedi were traumatized by all that had hunted, the downfall of their order, the galaxy turning on them, losing everything and everyone that had mattered to them, and living the rest of their lives in hiding or on the run, always afraid, never at peace Not to mention the Inquisitors themselves were victims (not all of them, but still) who had been stripped of who and what they were originally were and reforged into bitter killers, afraid of their master for the one thing they had left, their lives. Sidious took a perverse pleasure in breaking jedi and turning them into these fallen wielders of the dark side, but his disappointment in them is hypocritical in that they turned out to be exactly what he had Vader train them to be. Had Sidious started from scratch instead of with these wayward jedi, he could surely have produced far more powerful and competent agents skilled in the Dark Side. His plan before, to turn force-sensitive children, would have yielded better results. He did basically the same thing when he abducted Maul and made him his initial apprentice. Maul would likely have been a perfect inquisitor thanks to his training, but even he was a pawn that was discarded after his downfall on Naboo
As Jedi, they weren't especially "weak". As dark siders though, they were fairly weak and poorly trained so they they didn't become a threat to either Palpatine or Vader.
I consider them the weakest among the five lightsaber force user groups; 1. Jedi 2. Sith, 3. Dark Acolytes (if we view them separate from the Sith) 4. Inquisitors and 5. Imperial Knights
that is why order 66 was so effective, if fear weakens the jedi enough to be killed by inquisitors, imagine what betrayal combined with surprise effect would do. we kind of see it in the clone wars animated series with ashoka refusing to kill the clones
Don't forget that the most powerful of Jedi has basically been extinguished. and most Jedi still alive were basically weaklings themselves except a few exceptions, which Vader dealt with Personally.
Yeah, they're meant for mop up of all the partially trained Palawan and younglings that slipped through the cracks of order 66 and they're plenty proficient for that task. They're not meant to handle the big fish Jedi masters. In those cases, their job is to call in Vader. They're just cleaning up the stragglers that are frankly beneath him.
Second Sister is an absolute badass in Fallen Order, and the Grand Inquisitor represents a genuine threat in Rebels. Apart from that they’re all jokes, and it’s a big failure of Star Wars media
I just watched the clone wars s7 ep10 and darth maul said he seen a vision of anakin being sidious apprentice could you make a video on how maul seen this vision
They are traumatized, broken and scared. Anyone beyond a Jedi Knight will trounce most inquisitors. Cal Kestis is the best example, beating two inquisitors in one game and then killing one in the next game with ease.
I feel like the main reason they’re weak is because they only had lightsaber training, they didn’t have any intensive training in the dark side of the force besides channeling their rage and fury into their swordplay
Some of the Jedi, such as Yoda and Obi-Wan were too powerful , and too risky to hunt down. If they were causing no trouble, they weren't actively hunted.
I don’t think they’re weak at all compared to MOST Jedi. We get so used to watching the strongest Jedi, but most Jedi are nowhere near the level of the Masters on the Council… Ahsoka. …That was my theory until Cal Kestis showed up.
@@ghosthound17 I think there is much credit in thinking that Bokken Jedi, such as Cal, end up becoming stronger than they would have been with traditional training.
Part of the reason is so the inquisitors don't become a threat to the empire, most of the strongest jedi were killed during order 66 so many of the jedi who did escape were padawans who hadn't completed their training, the inquisitors can handle that but they don't have much change against someone like Ashoka or Obi Wan
I mean, that was their point. They were strong enough to weed out weaker Jedi like Padawans, but if they encountered anyone stronger, that meant it was time for Vader to take charge. Rebels showed that perfectly, they barely defeat the Grand Inquisitor, then Vader shows up and the gap is apparent immediately
Classic sidious, hamstring you underlings to the point that even with their powers combined they couldn't take you out but still expect them to be able to take out anything you throw them at.
Definitely hurt them, I mean even Agent Kallous from Rebels, a non force sensitive could probably fight some Jedi with his Bow-rifle. Palpatine should have trained the Inquisitors better
They could track jedi down no problem but fighting other force users no way even some of them were former jedi. Still they didn't really fight that good against force users. They were amazing at tracking and fleeing like scouts in a wolf pack in order to bring the rest hither. Then in numbers they are deadly for sure.
I’m glad that Stupendous Wave broke down how the DarkSide truly works as an art & not just from the Dogmatic narrow minded view of the Jedi 👏🏾. There is true strength in the DarkSide when you understand it’s power properly & when you are fully trained in it ✅.
Not much really. From 10000 Jedi before order 66 only 300-400 survived right after order 66, then Vader himself through years killed around 200, and then there certainly are some that survived until the fall of the Empire.
So good until it came to Jedi who were Padawans during order 66, that's their ultimate kryptonite. Kanan killed the GI, and Ahsoka and Cal cut through them like a hot knife through butter
Dunno if they was particularly good at Jedi beating either.. seeing as they in most cases NEVER got far enough to figure out enough of the Darkside to truly become good at it an thus sorta become new age Sith... where it mattered the most.. Kal, Asoka, Ezra... an if they'd crossed paths with alot of the super powerful Force user counter parts ESPECIALLY in EU a Cannon like Starkiller or Luke Skywalker.. they become near useless an get their ass kicked. An against someone that DOESNT play, like finding themselves having to fight Starkiller, Luke or Yoda or maybe Kenobi back in his active days on Tatoonine... they'd probably not live long enough to have to worry about explaining themselves to Vader and/or Sideous.. if Palpatine wanted them to have a better showing he shoulda had WAY more of them trained and/or had them trained hella better... he got lazy on this one
In real life training is training as bruce lee says i fear not the man who knows a thousand punches but a man who practice 1 punch a thousand times they would get there despite being deprived of knowledge the first sith didn't have a master
Yep. Which reduced their skill. The used the spinning technique more than actual lightsaber fundamentals. An old Kenobi would have blown any one of the out the water.
I don't care how cheap and fast was training an inquisitior. Former jedis are rare and very hard to replace. It was a waste of resources considering palpatine was disappointed with them.
Because basically they are kept weak as dark side adepts in both power and ability so that that they wound never be strong enough to overthrow the Sith. Yet in pack Hunter groups and bully style tactics would be enough of a match to kill Jedi.
Yeah Palpatine wouldn't threaten his rule by having a bunch of super powerfull dark side users running around, that just asking for them to gang up on him it's smarter to have a bunch of weaker force users in that roll so he doesn't have a coup
I do not think the inquisitors are weak. I just believe the opponents we saw inquisitors fighting against were master chemist. And that why they seemed weak.
Jedi hunting and killing Jedi.....an orgasm to Sidious But yes.Fear weakens the Jedi and the Sith know that. Thats why alot of Sith tactics revolves around intimidation like wearing black clothes etd
Cuz they played plenty of Barbarian in Diablo. Spin 2 win. Jedi might identify as many, woman orr something in-between. But inquisitor's identify as attack helicopters, the flesh is weak they crave the strength and certainly of steel.
I think it was foolish. If I'm putting my energy into training someone I'm gonna make them as best as they can be . Cause if they're trained poorly and they die easy you look like a fool too.
"Amazing at hunting Jedi" pfffft. Absolutely not. It took THREE of them to find and kill a random young Jedi in Kenobi on Tatooine, and they couldn't accomplish the simple task of locking down every avenue of escape for Obi-Wan when he was running loose IN THEIR OWN BASE. Ahsoka while barely trying solo'd 2 at once, killed at least 2 in 2 separate occasions (one in tales of the jedi, one in her own series, 3 died because of Maul barely trying, and Bariss (spoilers) is highly likely to not even make it past the first couple years of Imperial reign before dying pathetically. Literally, the only Inquisitor who actually did their job was Trilla in fallen order, with her only mistake not taking the holocron with the list of force sensitive children on it straight to Coruscant once she had it.
inquisitors are hunting dogs. they sniff out and chase preys. obviously they are expected and strongly encourage to kill but at the end of the day the hunter (Vader) is the real killer.
They're basically team rocket. The plot demanded they show up, but pose little threat.
😂
Love the pokemon reference that's so true
Which one of them is Meowth?

0:36 - Except maybe the Grand Inquisitor
He was after all formerly a Jedi Temple guard who had grown disillusioned with the Jedi order much like Dooku and Bariss offee.
if i remember correctly it was said he was motivated to leave the Jedi Order after hearing Bariss Offee's passionate speech as she was imprisoned
Vader didnt value them ,they could always get more Inquisiters The longer they lived the more powerful they could become
Weak force users with hate and fear in their hearts are the perfect servants.

but never strong enough to ever pose a challenge to Vader or the Emperor
@@kurtpunchesthings2411 precisely! 👌🏼 I feel like if any of them were even 20% as powerful as Vader they would be destroyed without a second thought.
The Empire as a whole is weak in minds and power but somehow outnumbers every revolution group in every possible way
Everybody knows the Grand inquisitor animated made him look like he could of took Vader’s place 😮

We need a Star Wars inquisitor animated series on how they interact with each others and how they hunt for Jedi survivors and everything else
I feel honored you took some footage from my Inquisitor tribute :)
Now that we’ve seen the Fourth Sister fight, I’m guessing there’ll be an update on their level of skill and power

Just my estimation though 5th brother is described as clumsy in battle scars and struggled with an exhausted and fearful Cal Kestis who was buying time for his friends to get away.
@@baki484 the 10th brother is definitely higher, he was a Jedi Master
@beckhambrooklynpenza1708 why? Some jedi masters and knights did worse against the inquisitors than padawans did.
I think it's due to 2 reasons:
The Inquisitors were basically blood hounds sent to flush out Jedi and soften them up for Vader to come in with the kill.
Thanks for the video.
This was a great video and explains so much, i just wish it wouldve happened in the shows lmao
I just love the inquisitors, they look cool and have story's as to why became what they are.
The part that falls flat for me for the Inquisitors is Kanan and Ezra, who are a former Padawan and a kid from a dusty planet. The fact they can hold their own against two Inquisitors just feels wrong. They are strong when they need to be, weak when they are not. They never feel consistently strong
I mean it’s kind the design they are meant to be effective at hunting padawan and some knights but if they come across anyone who actually knows how to properly fight they get destroyed
But palpatine doesn’t want to train up potential threats so they’re training is kept to a minimum skill wise
Cals a good example as soon as he is no longer scared he destroyed the inquisitors
Palpatine and Vader definitely regretted not having Grievous around to deal with Jedi survivors.
Theory: If Palpatine knew he would be going thru apprentice, could Maul have been a protype design for the Inquisitors? He played a similar role before being beaten by Quigon, the fact he survived and became a threat to his plans, could've led to the idea to not fully train the Inquisitors...🤷 and of course by not making them SIth it essentially was a loophole to the Rule of 2
And could be why Maul was referred to as the Shadow, he was essentially a better trained version of them and could always stay ahead of them.
Jerec would overpower all of them with a thought. To be honest, he wouldn't even need to fight, Jerec would probably let Boc Aseca have fun with them.
The grand inquisitor literally could’ve fodderized grevious, he’s pretty dang powerful
0:14 She did the thing!
What thing?
Loved it as much as all you re other videos
It was an absolute waste. The more Sith they could have had, the more they could have been spread throughout the galaxy to ensure their reign never ended, but short-sighted are the Sith.
Well not really because it's been proven when there are many sith they have a tendency to fight and kill each other that's why Darth Bane created the rule of two
Spoken as a true tory.
That was the reason they died. Thats why the rule of 2 succeeded
The reason was explained repeatedly. Forthe sith, the rule of two was the result of sith looking at the weakness of the sith, namely revan and bane. What you say would make sense under normal circumstances but not when dealing with sith where they constantly hinder their own progress.
Always two there are.. no more, no less
It was utilizing these methods that enabled the Inquisitors to effectively hunt Jedi, but let us not forget their jedi prey were often padawans, inexperienced knights, or even jedi elders, all of whom were not in the same league as the likes of Obi-wan, Yoda, Quinlan Voss, etc., and many survivign jedi were traumatized by all that had hunted, the downfall of their order, the galaxy turning on them, losing everything and everyone that had mattered to them, and living the rest of their lives in hiding or on the run, always afraid, never at peace
Not to mention the Inquisitors themselves were victims (not all of them, but still) who had been stripped of who and what they were originally were and reforged into bitter killers, afraid of their master for the one thing they had left, their lives.
I just watched the prequel trilogy movies last week. I actually like Star Wars now 😅
basically, they specialize on picking on the weak and fearful but were purposely trained to not overcome the strong and brave
Anakin/Vader, and the clones killed all the strong jedi. The inquisitors are hunting "jedi" with padawan level of training.
because filoni wants to make sure his hero are super amazing..
The biggest mistake I can come up with is one of them brought Ashoka out of hiding and back into the rebellion
That was Awesome!!! Nice job 👍
They would also alot of the time hunt in packs which make them more dangerous
Second Sister is an absolute badass in Fallen Order, and the Grand Inquisitor represents a genuine threat in Rebels. Apart from that they’re all jokes, and it’s a big failure of Star Wars media
Anyone got any idea who the 7th sister could be? Tales of the empire says barris offee got killed after turning back to the lightside.
I just watched the clone wars s7 ep10 and darth maul said he seen a vision of anakin being sidious apprentice could you make a video on how maul seen this vision
this vid is so fire
-Train them to be expendable
-They all die
Shocked Pikachu face
Probably because like team rockets Pokémon, the inquisitors lack training and think they have the upper hand when they don’t lol
They are traumatized, broken and scared. Anyone beyond a Jedi Knight will trounce most inquisitors. Cal Kestis is the best example, beating two inquisitors in one game and then killing one in the next game with ease.
I feel like the main reason they’re weak is because they only had lightsaber training, they didn’t have any intensive training in the dark side of the force besides channeling their rage and fury into their swordplay
darth sidious and darth vader in canon purposely did this to make sure they won't powerful enough in the darkside to overthrow them.
I think cal has the potential to be one of the stronger jedi in Canon. Just hope he isn't watered down for stupid reasons.
@@ghosthound17 I think there is much credit in thinking that Bokken Jedi, such as Cal, end up becoming stronger than they would have been with traditional training.
Part of the reason is so the inquisitors don't become a threat to the empire, most of the strongest jedi were killed during order 66 so many of the jedi who did escape were padawans who hadn't completed their training, the inquisitors can handle that but they don't have much change against someone like Ashoka or Obi Wan
not just padawans but also low to mid level jedi knights
Which one was a former master ?
Then in numbers they are deadly for sure.
seems like the clone x assassins are the inquisitors version of clones the way this sounds
I’m glad that Stupendous Wave broke down how the DarkSide truly works as an art & not just from the Dogmatic narrow minded view of the Jedi 👏🏾.
There is true strength in the DarkSide when you understand it’s power properly & when you are fully trained in it ✅.
Do we have stats on how many Jedi Inquisitors took out? Order 66 already did most of the work, and Vader also hunted a bunch down himself.
Not much really. From 10000 Jedi before order 66 only 300-400 survived right after order 66, then Vader himself through years killed around 200, and then there certainly are some that survived until the fall of the Empire.
@@thedoomofvalyria6466so that means that the Inquistors may have killed 100 or more Jedi.

General Kenobi..!
GENERAL KENOBI
Thank you Guys very much:)
They had spinning lightsabers
So basically inquisitors are useless against any lightsider or darksider who knows what they're doing
Reva isn't a Canon Inquisitor fwi
they aren't weak at all! They are weak compared to Jedi like Ashoka etc..
I do not think the inquisitors are weak. I just believe the opponents we saw inquisitors fighting against were master chemist. And that why they seemed weak.

Cuz they played plenty of Barbarian in Diablo. Spin 2 win. Jedi might identify as many, woman orr something in-between. But inquisitor's identify as attack helicopters, the flesh is weak they crave the strength and certainly of steel.
Its a plot thing, also everything in rebels is less crazy then TCW and again TCW is less wild then the original clone wars animated miniseries.
Dark Jedi and Dark Side adepts tend to be weaker than real proper Sith Lords for the most part in general.
ORDER 66
Tldw: the plot
The inquisitors are kind of like hunting dogs in that way.
Why. ?
The answer should be obvious .
They are weak because they are former jedi .
They are good at hunting jedi for the same reason .
inquisitors are hunting dogs. they sniff out and chase preys. obviously they are expected and strongly encourage to kill but at the end of the day the hunter (Vader) is the real killer.
