    Mineston-ee! Awesome meal ideas. I love when you have your mom and dad on your channel. I work in health care too and we were told with the winter storms we just had, I live in Pennsylvania, that we could stay at work if we have too. I work in a diagnostic center which has a sleep lab with beds and as nice as the invitation was we were all like-no thanks! LOL We all would have walked in the storm to get home and not stay at work. Haha

    (1) This is great! My post-menopausal weight gain is driving me nuts! So thanks. (2) My Italian daughter-in-law pronounces it “min-eh-stro-neh.” (3) Powdered onion and garlic are common culprits in indigestion, heartburn, gall bladder trouble. I’d use a tsp or 2 of minced fresh garlic from a jar, and some frozen chopped onions instead.

    • @maureenackerley8024
      @maureenackerley8024 2 роки тому

      I only use fresh garlic because of it's health benefits. Raw garlic retains higher amounts of allicin, a beneficial sulfur-containing compound. Garlic improves immunity, stabilises blood sugar levels, and supports heart and brain health. I love fresh chillies as well. The rest looks simple and quick. Must give it a try. Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺 😋

    So GLAD you're a heavy seasoner. This video popped up on my page and I didn't think I would have anything in common with the cooking, but the seasoning swung it! I'm not a measurer either. My background is Jamaican and I can't find any Menopause friendly recipes. All of those seasonings have a lot of salt so I'll probably use as many real veg to seasoning that I can, ie: garlic, onion, red pepper etc. What is Liquid Aminos? What do they do? Now, checking out your recipes which will help me decide on subscription.

Now I make most homemade due to so much sugar in canned soups (example Campbells) but heard Dr. McDougall soups are very good - I'll take a look at them when I have lack of time, thank you! And Btw, I do say Minestron - EE :) LOL! Also, so glad you're eating carbs... so many avoid carbs and most of my friends think I don't eat carbs, I certainly do! I just eat the Good carbs like brown rice, quinoa, oatmeal. If I have something sugary/bad carbs it's on a holiday, very small, one serving like one cookie and that's it. I make one very good selection! (like something chocolatey)

      So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?

      @@sandrajenkins6822 Yes, I will eat this way. No matter the age, it isn’t about being skinny/thin…it’s about being HEALTHY. And just a piece of advice to you…shaming people for being thin is just as bad as shaming for being heavy. Social media seems to make people say whatever they want without regard to other people’s feelings. Please try to be more respectful.

    Buddha Bowl eaten cold? If heated, how without making veggies mushy? Note: I’m a microwave less cook. Also, are those portions mummy cooked for one person or does that last her and husband?

    Question. Do you reheat the Buddha bowls or eat the contents cold? Thanks x

    Looks healthy and delicious, but I would have some concern putting those hot veggies into plastic containers….glass would be much safer and healthier to use…..Mummy looks great!

    I'm having such a hard time with menopausal weight gain. I'm so confused because I keep reading and watching videos that say carbs spike your insulin, and that's what contributes to the weight gain.
