Since I started watching you both I've lost 18lbs in 3 months . I can't tell you how greatful I am. This is certainly a healthier life choice and so easy to do .
Great job ❤️
Great job! 🥰💕
Buongiorno from Italy. It is pronounced mee-nes-troh-neh
I am 66 years old 5 ft. 4 in. and weigh 120 lbs. I firmly believe in counting calories - diagnosed with a disease at the age of 21 from then on always do my best to take care of myself no smoking and no drinking as well - no high blood pressure, no kidney stones and never had surgery!
So easy now a days having the computer to add up your calories per meal!
I love that you liked everyones comment, really thoughtful 🤗
Having just turned 40 and looking forward to my future is why seeing healthy mummy doing the damn thing is very inspiring 😘🥰
This was my favorite in the series so far. All has been great but watching the cooking and thought process was excellent. Thanks.
Mineston-ee! Awesome meal ideas. I love when you have your mom and dad on your channel. I work in health care too and we were told with the winter storms we just had, I live in Pennsylvania, that we could stay at work if we have too. I work in a diagnostic center which has a sleep lab with beds and as nice as the invitation was we were all like-no thanks! LOL We all would have walked in the storm to get home and not stay at work. Haha
I suffer with fibro chronic pain depression and hypothyroidism ,and I'm a widow June will be 5 yrs ,I'm 70 and am struggling alot with things ,so I really need to help Me sooner than later even with minimum energy I have to do this as I'd like to feel better . Ty for your posts I'll give them a shot !
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER, SO SWEET💜
Everything looks so Good!! Thank you Mummy🌹
Really love Mom’s soup recipe!! Looks yummy and super easy. Minestroneeeee that’s how we grew up saying it. Please thank your Mom for her recipes. 💕
Thank you to you and your mom for taking the time to film and share with us.
You’re very much welcome! 😊
Oh wow, only halfway through this video and just love you both! Inspiration & help that I needed I think!
So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?
Love the doctoring the doctor idea! Perfect “meal starter”
I say Minestron-EE. These are 3 great ideas! I really appreciate you both taking the time to show us these recipes. Thanks for the video Emmie!
You're welcome! 🥰💕
Can’t wait to taste these. Sound scrumptious… and so easy. Thanks both. Really enjoyed watching you cook.

Minestrone-eee. Thank you.. inspired by healthy mummy. There’s a lot of us post menopausal ladies who haven’t had a role model in the wfpb lifestyle. 😊👌
Minestron-ee!!! Love your videos with your mom. I’m the same way with my spices and use lots of cayenne.
Loved this video! It is so helpful to see the preparation process and tips on how to add flavor. Can you and your Mom talk about appropriate portions and a typical day of eating according to this meal plan? Thank you for sharing.

Thanks healthy mommy for all the great recipes. I can’t wait to try them out!!!

Your mum is the cutest!
I am new to this channel, and I like it so far. You are both looking very good. I'm in my middle 50s and have usually maintained my weight BUT in the last 2 years, I've been developing a high tummy and my doctor says I'm developing a fatty liver. I think I'll find your channel very beneficial, looking forward for more videos.
Emmie I LOVE this video LOVE - are the recipes in the healthy dad and mummy cookbooks ??
Great menu ideas!! Thank you💕
You two are such whole food plant-based rock stars! Love how your videos are shot well with excellent lighting. ❤👍🏻❤👍🏻

I like to use those soups as a good foundation, as well! Great ideas, ladies😊 Thx!
This was fun! Loved seeing the meals! If I remember, Healthy Mum also made some sort of potato pizza...I need that one! Pretty please!!!!
As an Italian, please please please make fresh minestrone, it's easy and healthy and never ever put corn in it , the only spice you out in it is pepper, salt and that's it. You add the Grana Padano cheese and done
Exactly!
I don’t get why you even bother with the dr mcdougals soup. You are already making a vege soup.
@@iammisskriss I thought it was because the seasoning was already in it. I don't have that so I'm gonna look for a minestrone recipe. Thank's for the idea Yummy Emmy and Mommy.
Omg, I had no idea you could saute veggies in water! Yay, I'm so very thankful for this
Once again these all look delicious. Always impressed by your mums eating. Looking forward to more from you both.

Thank you for the quick & easy recipes.
Love when Mummy is on :)!!
Thank you for this! I'm always looking for new meal ideas and these all looked great. I've got Dr. McDougal's soup in the pantry right now, so I'll try that one first

In menopause, so I love watching mummies cooking. ❤️
So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?
(1) This is great! My post-menopausal weight gain is driving me nuts! So thanks. (2) My Italian daughter-in-law pronounces it “min-eh-stro-neh.” (3) Powdered onion and garlic are common culprits in indigestion, heartburn, gall bladder trouble. I’d use a tsp or 2 of minced fresh garlic from a jar, and some frozen chopped onions instead.
I only use fresh garlic because of it's health benefits. Raw garlic retains higher amounts of allicin, a beneficial sulfur-containing compound. Garlic improves immunity, stabilises blood sugar levels, and supports heart and brain health. I love fresh chillies as well. The rest looks simple and quick. Must give it a try. Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺 😋

I didn’t know that about powdered onion and garlic! I use them all the time! I’m going to switch to fresh. Thank you For the advice
@@sandrajenkins6822 no but I’ll be around and healthy for my kids and grandkids. My “medal” will be a long healthspan
Hi, I love watching your mom and dad and their journey because it’s so relatable and inspiring. It makes me see how easy it can be to make long lasting changes!
Ps, I’m from the UK, most Worcester Sauce is made from anchovies. I usually source a vegan version. Just thought I would mention it in case it’s the same in the US x
So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?
@Joelle
I have an idea. Just forget worcester souce and eat anchovies. It would be actually healthy.
What an awesome episode ‘Emmie. Thank you so much. Your Mom is awesome, she made her cooking so easy that I can do it. Where I’m from we don’t measure
Thank you 😀
You're welcome! 🥰💕

One of the BEST cooking shows. Didn’t need to go thru 3 Chan’s to get the recipes. THANK YOU !!!! Having hard time getting back to my roots of vegan/ vegetarianism
Our pleasure! ❤️😉
Thank you so much for sharing your Mom recipes for US BEGINNERS AWESOME
Loved 🥰 plz make this a regular video. Thanks healthy mummy
Thanks so much 👍 quick and easy 😊love mom ideas in the kitchen🙏
I love how you water sautee your garlic and veggies, I am totally going to try thtat.. So glad I found your channel!
Thank you so much for watching! 😊💕
Great ideas! I've been wfpb for almost a year. I am fighting the menopause weight gain. Can't wait to try these recipes. I appreciate how you mute the sound when it gets loud. I hate it when the sounds blasts my ears lol
So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?
@@sandrajenkins6822 Why would you even make that comment to me ? You have no idea how I eat on a regular basis. There is nothing at all "gruesome" about these dishes. Maybe I will get a medal for being a nice person. Will you?
YOU both are awesome inspiration THANK YOU BOTH
Love your mom and her coooking 💜
Minestron-ee is pronounced Minestron-A with the accent on the "stron" syllable Whenever I can't answer a question, I look it up. Funny, I'm actually making oil-free tabouli while watching you all cook. I love to listen to Audible or watch YT vids while cooking. A clean kitchen also makes me happy. Thanks for a very fun video, Emmie and Mummy. Have a lovely day. God bless.
You are both wonderful 🎉❣️can't wait to try making your quinoa/bean balls! Thank you for this video. Much 😘 love💕
You're welcome! 🥰💕
@@BelCantoLari I do not believe there is a way to explain the sound with the spelling, in Italy we pronounce the last e in minestrone as in red/bed, not -ee. I think English speakers pronounce it -ee
So GLAD you're a heavy seasoner. This video popped up on my page and I didn't think I would have anything in common with the cooking, but the seasoning swung it! I'm not a measurer either. My background is Jamaican and I can't find any Menopause friendly recipes. All of those seasonings have a lot of salt so I'll probably use as many real veg to seasoning that I can, ie: garlic, onion, red pepper etc. What is Liquid Aminos? What do they do? Now, checking out your recipes which will help me decide on subscription.
Yummy Emmy and Mommy food!
Thank you!
Enjoyed watching this one with your mom!
By the way,
I do say minestrone -ee 🤗
So excited to start with you on Monday!! And it’s Minestron as per my Sicilian husband 😉
Thank you. Also going to view all your other videos
So good! I would avoid putting hot foods in any k ind of plastic however. Perhaps a glass container or put them on a plate and allow them to cool down?
If possible can you list the recipes with the measurements thank you. Love you video 💕
Love it when you have Healthy Mummy in your videos! She is so relatable. Love your dad too. Great recipe ideas. And I pronounce it as Minestro-nee. 😘
So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?
@@sandrajenkins6822 Yes, I will eat this way. No matter the age, it isn’t about being skinny/thin…it’s about being HEALTHY. And just a piece of advice to you…shaming people for being thin is just as bad as shaming for being heavy. Social media seems to make people say whatever they want without regard to other people’s feelings. Please try to be more respectful.
Great ideas! Gotta try those meatballs - quinoa is the perfect vegan protein!
Grew up in a town with lots of wonderful Italian people and many great Italian restaurants. Learned so many cooking tips from them and they all said minestron-ee. But hey there ae no hard and fast rules.
This was so helpful!
You are correct about using frozen fruit and veggie, but the plastic bags are an issue. Green, green, green girl...we're all working on it.
This is fantastic! I’m 51 and working on the Battle of the Belly. Thanks for the great videos!
You're welcome! 🥰💕
I'm writing my grocery shopping list as I watch this. Looks yummy!
Awesome!! Love it 😊💕
Thank you for sharing your recepees.
Always fantastic to see Emmie's mum and those are awesome 👌 & yummy 😋 meals. This is another excellent video and I loved 😍 it ( it's impossible for me not to love 🥰 Emmie's video's). Love💕❤💞 Emmie, Mum & Dad.
So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?
Thank you for these recipes! A chef gave me a tip: if you put a tea towel ( light cloth for drying dishes) under the chopping board it stops it moving!
Thanks for sharing!
This looks great. Can you substitute somethings else for the mushrooms?
375 °F = 190 °C
Yesterday I ate almost the same as your second meal. I had some parsnip with it.
Minestrone is Italian, so definitely with the ee sound at the end! Enjoying this video.
Thanks for watching! 😊💕
I cook my mushrooms without water...they do their own and brown nicely. No oil of course. If they stick and don't come off with their own water (I try that first) I'll use maybe a T of water.
and onion too...no water unless gonna burn. Everytime this works in one of those green pans.
Thank you for sharing!
I used to do this with canned soups, thought I was weird. Now I make most homemade due to so much sugar in canned soups (example Campbells) but heard Dr. McDougall soups are very good - I'll take a look at them when I have lack of time, thank you! And Btw, I do say Minestron - EE :) LOL! Also, so glad you're eating carbs... so many avoid carbs and most of my friends think I don't eat carbs, I certainly do! I just eat the Good carbs like brown rice, quinoa, oatmeal. If I have something sugary/bad carbs it's on a holiday, very small, one serving like one cookie and that's it. I make one very good selection! (like something chocolatey)
Thank you for sharing!
This is everything I have to avoid during menopause, I’ve gone mostly carnivore, the vegetables and legumes caused wayyyy too much bloating and digestive issues. But they all look delicious. Mom looks great!
Agreed
@beth S Me too! If I eat this way I'd be in horrendous gut pain and barely able to leave the restroom. Carnivore is what got me healthy after 62 years of suffering. My health is better now, my weight is perfect and body svelte. Veges are not all they're cracked up to be.
@@InfiniteSoul91 it’s amazing isn’t it? I’ve dropped prescription medications and am the thinnest I’ve been in years on carnivore, I feel amazing..I do miss vegetable soups and rice and beans sometimes, but not enough to endure the consequences of eating it. Lol
Systemic enzymes are a great help. After 40 our Hydrochloric acid has lessened. I use serapeptase
So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?
Mom know how to cook. I'm about to try all these dishes.
Hope you enjoy 💕💕💕
It’s Mineston ee , great video
I dont see the need for the macdougal soup carton. Is it for the broth? Why not just use your own broth?
I'd buy chopped butternut squash at whole foods!
I made the vegan meatballs and OMG, they are so good. I’ll be making these for my women’s group next time we have a potluck.
Thank you so much for sharing! 😊💕
That's how we season everything too.
I'm a great healthy mummy fan! Doing well on the program and feeling great. PS the pronunciation is Italian and ends with a short e
On the minestrone soup after u add all the veges and spices and bring it back to a boil.....do you cover the pot? Then turn it back down to medium...do you cover the pot?
I am starting a plant-based diet today...going to love getting healthier and hopefully losing weight...also does your mom have her own youtube channel?
Buddha Bowl eaten cold? If heated, how without making veggies mushy? Note: I’m a microwave less cook. Also, are those portions mummy cooked for one person or does that last her and husband?
Love these videos! I once grabbed the cumin and sprinkled it on my morning oats instead of cinnamon! 😳 😝
Some of us Italians say it without the "AY" sound at the end, like our ancestors did. Love it!
Thanks for watching! 😊💕
It all looks like something I would love. By the way, in NYC, we say minestrone -ee.
Don't forget to use glass instead of plastic :) It is healthier.
I love these cosy videos... More would be lovely if possible!! ☺️❤️ Xx
Thank you! ❤️😉
You guys are so lucky. We don’t have the frozen veg and sweet potato varieties you have here in Australia 😞
Thanks for sharing!
Question. Do you reheat the Buddha bowls or eat the contents cold? Thanks x
I have the same question!
Love that you use frozen foods and prepackaged products
Can you tell me the brand of cookware you are using?
The meal preps are great but veg and beans I have to be careful I get bloating and cramping. My suppers are bowls with salad, meat, veg, and quinoa or rice. I feel good eating healthy and less food plus I do intermitten fasting.
Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video!
So incredibly healthy, so planet saving, so ethical, so smug inducing but so eyewateringly dull. Are you going to keep this gruesome diet up for the next 30 years? Will you get a medal if you die thin at 95?
Minestro-nay! From Italy here
I have a question for you both. I am allergic to onions and garlic, both don't sit on my stomach well. Can I use something else instead? I can't even have the seasonings with garlic or onions at all either. Can I change that out with something else?
I have been eating whole plant based for last year. Also no sugar or diary. Once you get use to these foods you stop craving fatty foods and sugar. I do have to watch my carbs and do not eat crackers or breads unless for avocado toast. Having 5 stable meals helps. So many whole plant based diets vloggers on UA-cam and Instagram.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!!!
Appreciate Mum! So Real`~ Thank you ....
She’s the best
Great video, mommy looks great, 😊
Thank you! 🤗
Thank you for sharing.
Only ever heard it pronounced minestro-nee but to each his own!
I know you don't do measurements, but a pdf of ingredients would help the slower viewers!
What can you do if you don’t have a food processor?🥺
Great but my doc restricted me from starchy foods like corn and especially all types of rice shoots up my blood sugar hard to find meals that are full feeling tried beans but I get heartburn, gas & bloating I don't eat meat what do I do now I want to eat healthy need balance not feel hungry all the time feel miserable!
