- This is my very first Noita Fish Quest run that's currently only available on the Noita Beta on steam as of June 21st 2023. It was lots of fun! I hope it will be added to the main client very soon. Thanks for watching!

Hmm i just realized with Cement + Water trail one could construct an aqueduct/pipe filled with water and let the fish swim up through that from the lake to the altar.
Edit: Twitch chat appearantly came to a similar conclusion 3:23:00
Would also require a harmless non-freezable liquid instead of water for the upper part, like oil.
when i discovered the cement spell i began building a house for me in the overworld and pretended i was playing terraria

When I play Elden Ring i am pretty sure that it is a masterpiece. When I play noita I know 100% for sure that it is a masterpiece. I am so happy that they keep working on it, for me that shows that they already know they hit lightning in a bottle.
Noita is the only game with more obscure and complex quests than FromSoft games too lol

So, just if you didn't learn about the fish quest. It is connected to the Finnish myth called Kalevala. There is an old man, Väinämöinen, who is a bard, and very lechery too. He went to adventure to the North with his friends to find the fabulous artefact Sampo. While on the sea they got stuck on enormous pike and slew it. From it's jawbone he build his first Kantele (it is kinda like lyre but you better google it).

Also Väinämöinen did his magic by singing songs. One dude called Joukahainen once challenged Väinämöinen in to a duel, and got himself sung into a swamp.
am I gonna have to learn Finnish to try to parse more secrets? because I will but I'm not happy about it.

I suppose im the last person on youtube who genuine don't like mass editing and such. I respect people who are more genuine about their videos and just upload them for what they are. I personally perfer that more then, 100 arrow pointing on the thumbnail and the video being like 10 minutes long with 99% of things edited out to just give people a dopamine rush.
I'm the same way. I also hate when people censor themselves instead of talking like they naturally do. There is a dwarf fortress player called Kruggsmash who makes really good videos.. my favorite of his were the first Playlist he did that was mostly unedited, showed all of his mistakes, and had him cussing at his dwarves and computer.
It was so good.. He still made really good videos, but once he started getting 10s of thousands of viewers, he toned down his language and focused more on the stories rather than the gameplay.. Im happy for the guy, but its just not as interesting to me
I like dunk, he's knowledgeable, has a good comfy personality, and I like all the chat blue guys whenever he does something cool, even though I'm not into streams that much. Thnx for all the videos man

"If you're on UA-cam, thanks for sticking with me. I know it wasn't the most exciting" - It may not have been the flashiest video you've put here, but it still worked. Set up as if I were watching the stream, and did a bunch of house-work and stuff while watching it. Need to do that more often, so I don't have to feel like I have to worry about interacting with other chatters, and since not much is going on, I can focus on whatever else I'm doing at the time.

I had an Idea for doing the poly method. Add a layer of pheromone on the platform then summon monsters with infinite eggs. They polymorph but they are not aggressive. They just wait for the fish poly to happen.

As far as worrying about how other people's videos on youtube, I wouldn't. Like other people have said, you're comfy viewing. I like your delivery. I like that you don't have some obnoxious over-produced intro + outro with twelve billion mentions of needing subs and likes and comments so you can dryhump the algorithm. Watching any of your videos is like hanging out on the couch with an old friend. Plus I've learned a ton about Noita and laughed a lot along the way. So don't worry about it, just keep doing what you're doing - and yes, post all of the longform videos you got, I don't need it to be edited or crazy action packed :P

And that's not necessarily a bad thing; in fact, the slow pace and chill vibe in your VODs are exactly what I and other fans watch you for. Don't worry much about it, man. You're doing great.
New player here, i have quickly found out that early on the best weapon in stage 1 is easily just picking up the green tablets and throwing them at shit. Double money, plus it can one shot some of the most dangerous enemies. been having a blast forgetting about magic and going back to the primal ways of just throwing random shit at anything that moves
For real, upload the long runs! It being on youtube makes it easier for me to cut up watching it into smaller chunks while still getting to see the long runs!
Just here to say, as an hollow knight enjoyer/maniac, that i would LOVE to see a full vod of ur playtrough

Just finally got a run today on the daily, perfect set up for fish quest. I have everything I need and Im just about to take my fish friend to the alter. Had to come do a recap to remember exactly what to do next. Thanks for the vids, stay moist.
It's pretty standard practice for streamers to create an archive channel and upload streams there. They don't get a ton of views, but if you have the bandwidth it's nice to upload them that way. For me personally I have a data allowance each month and Twitch uses a lot more data for the same VOD than UA-cam so if the stream VOD isn't on UA-cam I basically can't watch it.
I thought maybe you were doing the Terraria fishing quest and lost your mind. That one will do that to ya.

I would love to see a handful more basic projectile spells. There feels like there is a weird gap in power between the weak and strong basic projectiles that could be filled.
Agreed. Maybe arrow spells fit that a bit. But otherwise for sure. Plus, the mana cost JUMPS. Coal pits is such a weird level where usually you go in with a weak wand. If there were some mid Tier projectiles you could start building cool wands right away

@@DunkOrSlam wow nice, i have 4000 hours and hit 6k mmr last year - but never played ranked again. I was thinking u were divine+ rank just based on how you speak about the game.
unfortunately the Australia Dota immortal scene has 50 active players above 6k mmr - so games were just the same people shuffled, and if i wanna make any progress i had to player on SEA server...

I know it sounds wasteful guys... but I am gonna buy noita again to show my support to the devs, and how much I appreciate that they're doing this. I hope at least some of you do it too, I think it would be nice motivation for them.

So this is pretty random but about 03:07:00 you talked about accessible gaming a bit. I'm a player with MS that has lost use of my arm and currently play using a mouse with 16 buttons, a d pad and a thumbstick. One day I'll possibly even be quadriplegic but still want to find a way to play my games! Technology is amazing like that. I've also just started streaming and have gotten into noita now that I can play games with my adapted setup. If you ever see phillysaxon live feel free to say hi, but I'm not really a big time streamer!

What is the difference between the fish and a stable crystal? A long time ago i did testing with basically creative mode mods, and you can put homing and stuff on the stable crystals, and it works just fine. You can even get rid of them with detonator whenever you want.
A fish is a passive living entity, a stable crystal is just an inanimate entity.
So I have a couple observations about the game that I haven't seen anywhere, and thought they might be worth sharing in case they aren't common knowledge. 1) Spitter Bolt with Timer -> Bouncing Burst is like 24 damage or something, which is way better damage than most things in the early game, almost completely safe, and super fast and cheap. 2) The Hiisi healers will heal fish, and you can kick fish to do 1 damage, which won't kill them, meaning you can lure a single healer into the base without any resources and still intercept heals.

Can you make a video explaining what to do after you finish the game? The other content is hard to learn about. I checked the wiki and it's super vague.
Why does't he use the pull force from a black hole to move the fish. I bet if you sit at a safe distance, the black hole would pull the fish without eating it until it speeds up and goes far enough from the fish that it would stop pulling it.
I was just waiting for the wand homing spell to home at the nearest wand: the one in player's hands. Yet another suicide spell.
Ok, so I'm thinking Summon Fish with Anti-Homing, Avoiding Arc, Copy Trail and Fireball Thrower. Even if the Copy Trail fish don't inherit any modifiers, I still think it would be cool to have a fish carpet bomber.

Ist simpel an komplex like Noita i think an i herd its very challenging.
I really enjoy watching this crazy stuff but, for me, the real changes Noita could do with are more options of what to do at the start to give the early part of runs more variety. I probably spend more time in the first three areas than the rest of the game. I don't play much so this stuff is virtually off-limits most of the time.

I should've watched how Dunk drowned the MoM in the swamp before I tried the quest.
Part of it was my fault, but in my attempt of drowning him with the swamp, I was sitting at the top of the arena while flooding the whole place with swamp. But then something caught on fire, and it made lots of steam at the ceiling as swamp can generate peat, and peat is very flammable. So MoM ended up dying to the tons of steam generated than the swamp, and now I have to do it again.

3:42:16 Actually factual, specifically rye bread, the grain itself is susceptible to one specific fungus (the kind that is used to make natural compound LSD) so if the farmers don't catch it early enough then the entire silo and storage where the grains are kept can be ruined via the spores spreading everywhere, the results are fairly nasty too, it causes the blood vessels throughout the body to constrict usually resulting in loss of limbs and usually death, but those who survive end up being quadriplegics since their limbs die while still attached to the body and must be amputated or else they will rot of and the person will die anyways.

Perhaps we'll see a fishing wand/rod soon. Imagine the wizard sitting on a pier or dock and doing some fishing after the last boss fight. Fades to black and camera pan up
If you get killed by the bridge bosses duplicate fish, will the fish get credit for the kill or the bridge boss?
I was gust playing normal god run with inf. black holes and circle of healing.then i got 2 explosion projectiles then ive got to wandmart and finding 4 more explotion projectiles and ive got 2 paha silmas from chests but i died from polymorph to fire fly and deid to snow (also i have got tentacle frose shot build)

I hope you see this and agree, but you should do a run where you kill every enemy (if its possible, if not, kill as many of the enemies as possible in a single run) I think it would be cool to see all the bosses and special enemies in one run.

So, death cross and minor homing is one of my fav early game things to do because it's like a projectile before it explodes into a cross
