I was really looking for you to show installation around the fire pit. I use a heat gun to bend around corners, but I'm sure it would work on a circle.
The little tabs that the nails go through have barrs that connect them, I cut those bars and the edging flexed right around the circle with no issues. my circle was 12' around.
Nice man. Hope it’s long lasting for you. With doing hardscaping for 7 years I’ve become not a huge fan of that edging over the years. Sometimes it will work great, and then other times it heaves and pulls away and up in freeze thaw climates. If you do deal with that down the road try a product called perma edge.
I live in Arizona so it almost never freezes here, so far its worked well, although I drove a 14k dump trailer over an edge last week and cracked off a couple pavers, not sure if that was an edge failure or something else. Thanks for your feedback and knowledge!
It should work fine there's just less room for error. One of my paths is next to my RV gate and i've driven a loaded dump trailer full of rock over the edge which is about as much strain as you can put on paver edging, and on sections that where done well it held up with no issues, there was one corner that the edging and underlayment where not great and that corner cracked off, so this method works well but if you are doing a driveway make sure your crushed rock extends at least a foot past the edge of the pavers. another thing that can help is if you backfill the surrounding material so it is the same finished height as the pavers.
I edged my artificial grass with a single row of paves just laid end to end. This ledge would be much taller than the turf and I dont think would look good.
@stephaniehenry5617 the thing is the turf isn't that tall when you step on it so it'd look maybe ok, but if you walk across it or the wind blows it'll look tacky.
My knees are still recovering, I had knee pads for laying the pavers and I forgot them for this video, it was only a few minutes I didn't bother. But for sure if you are actually doing this knee pads are a life saver. Thanks for the positive feedback!
@jesmainetoppin517 That may be so. This method was used at my Arizona house, and it worked flawlessly. Easy to do, not messy, and you can go as slow or as fast as you want with no fear if cement curing too quickly. I think this is the superior way to do it. But I'm also just a homeowner, not a professional hard scape installer.
Concise straight to the point information. Love videos like this when I'm doing my research. Liked and subscribed!

I'm sure this is a hard question to answer, but do you think perma edge is worth the money compared to fiber reinforced concrete?
Thanks for the tips!
Happy to help!

U should be hammering whie on pavers so u hammer towards the paver to keep it tight it tends to pull the way you hammer
I see.
Is this good for a paver driveway (vehicular traffic) as well? Or should I used concrete instead?

Can these be used as edging to install artificial grass instead of pavers
I edged my artificial grass with a single row of paves just laid end to end. This ledge would be much taller than the turf and I dont think would look good.
@@RogueWrenching oh ok. My grass is 2.00" so I thought these would be short enough.
@stephaniehenry5617 the thing is the turf isn't that tall when you step on it so it'd look maybe ok, but if you walk across it or the wind blows it'll look tacky.
@@RogueWrenching Thanks. I just went ahead and bought Turf Edge for my edging
Is this in Adora Trails?
No it's not, it's in my backyard in Buckeye AZ.
What about concrete edging?
I'm not sure, I don't have any experience with concrete edging so I don't know if or how well it would work.
We need to get you some knee pads. It hurts just watching.....but good video.

Jesus you talk fast. Gave me a heart attack.
They don't call me the Ben Shapiro of DIY for nothing.
Cement is better and way cheaper
Aint his house
If you have the skills maybe.
You lost me at "PLASTIC". We have a vegetable garden and introducing plastics on your property is not a healthy idea.
I read on another post that plastic paver edging if better for freeze and thaw climates. Where as cement is better suited for warmer climates.
